Signal transient simulation of multi-coupledm frequency-variant transmission lines (주파수 종속 다중 전송선의 신호 천이 특성)

  • Frequency-variant transmission line parameters are determined. Then the signal transient characterizations of frequency-dependent multi-coupled lines are investigated. With the proposed method, an accurate signal integrity degradation such as signal ringing (overshoot, undershoot) and crosstalk noises relevant to the switching patterns of signals, rising / falling time(tr, tf) and line lengths is investigated. It is shown that there may be approximately 26% discrepancy of signal transients and 260% difference of crosstalk noises between the constant RLC model and frequency-variant RLC model in on-chip global interconnects while those of package lines are 11% and 70%, respectively.

  • It is expected that the SCM (Subcarrier Multiplexing) optical link system, in which a number of small scale base stations with only antenna and RF transceiver are connected to central station through optical fiber, is in demand. In order to analyze the performance of SCM optical link system fur RF signal transmission, MZ(Mach-Zehnder) modulator's transfer function is modelled as nonlinear form with the cube of input signal. And considering the multiple access interferences occurred In the demodulation of other users'CDMA signals with multipath components after passing through MZ modulator, the BER performance is analyzed.

  • A problem of separating signals from noises is considered, when they are randomly mixed in the observation. It is assumed that the noise follows a Gaussian distribution and the signal follows a Gamma distribution, thus the underlying distribution of an observation will be a mixture of Gaussian and Gamma distributions. The parameters of the mixture model will be estimated from the EM algorithm. Then the signals and noises will be classified by a fixed threshold approach based on multiple testing using positive false discovery rate and Bayes error. The proposed method is applied to a real optical emission spectroscopy data for the quantitative analysis of inclusions. A simulation is carried out to compare the performance with the existing method using 3 sigma rule.

  • Multi-Code CDMA (MC-CDMA) can not only be integrated easily with a conventional system, but also achieve good spectral efficiency and high processing gain. However, it suffers from high value of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In this paper, we propose the Multi-Phase CDMA (MP-CDMA) system that can provide variable rate service and is not susceptible to the non-linear characteristics of amplifier. The clipping is introduced between at the output of multi-code modulator and at the input of MPSK modulator in order to improve the performance of MPSK chip demodulator and reduce the system complexity, The system performances are compared for the different Number of codes and different clipping levels, respectively. The optimum clipping level is also evaluated for the different number of codes in both, AWGN and frequency flat fading channel.

  • It is expected in the future that the demand of optical subcarrier multiplexing system, in which a number of small size base stations with only antenna and RF transmission are connected to central station using optical fiber, will be increased in the CDMA digital cellular mobile communication network. In this paper, in order to analysis the performance of optical SCM system fur CDMA RF signal transmission, MZ modulator is modelled as a non-linear transfer function with cubic operation. The performance degradation due to multipath signals and other user signals through MB modulator is analyzed and the performance is improved using the Rake receiver.

  • Sequence Code Division Multiple Access) and TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) system. In this system, the narrowband TDMA signals can cause intolerant interferences to CDMA signals. In this paper, DS-CDMA/TDMA frequency sharing system have been analyzed in AWGN(Additive white Gaussian Noise), MAI (Multi Access Interference) and NI(Narrowband Interference) environment. Also, performance improvement has been obtained by adopting an adaptive notch filtering scheme using complex filter bank and CCI canceller.

안티포달(Antipodal) 초광대역 통신 시스템

  • 초광대역 통신 시스템은 광대역에 걸쳐 주파수 스펙트럼이 기저 대역 잡음과 같이 존재하여 기존의 통신 시스템에 간섭을 주지 않고 고속의 통신이 가능하며, 반송파를 사용하지 않기 때문에 송.수신기의 소비 전력을 감소시키고 그의 구조를 간략화 시킬 수 있다. 본 논문은 신호의 대칭성에 의해 평균값이 0인 안티포달 초광대역 신호를 구성하고 시간 도약 부호를 이용하여 다중접속, 주파수 영역에서 에너지의 평활화 및 재밍 저항(간섭 제거)을 위 한 초광대역 통신 시스템을 제안하였다. AWGN 및 다중접속 환경에서 안티포달 초광대역 통신 시스템의 오류확률, 다중접속시 전송속도에 대해 수치해석을 통해 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다.

  • 시공간 빔포밍 기술은 기존의 배열 안테나가 공간만의 처리를 해온 것에 대하여 이를 시간 영역으로까지 확장하여 특정한 방향에서 특정한 시간에 도착하는 다중경로는 증폭하고 다른 다중경로는 제거하는 것을 의미한다. 본 논문은 배열 안테나를 가진 DS-CDMA에서 시스템 파라미터 부정합이 존재할 때, 시공간 빔 형성기의 성능에 대하여 연구하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 부정합이 존재할 때 전통적인 빔포머가 상대적으로 강인함을 보였지만 원근 문제는 해결할 수 없었으며, 실제의 추정 결과를 적용했을 때는 MUSIC 시공간 빔포머가 가장 우수한 성능을 보였다.

  • Underwater acoustic(UWA) communication has multipath error because of reflection by sea-level and sea-bottom. The multipath of UWA channel causes signal distortion and error floor. In this paper, we proposed split input bits of channel decoder using method of maximum value, average value, LLR value for optimal estimation. Channel coding method is LDPC(N size=16000) standard in DVB-S2. As shown in simulation results, the performance of LLR value method is better than other methods.

  • In this paper, an improved detection method is Proposed by supplementing multi-path gain for a MMSE detecter. This method is Proposed to complement the shortcomings of the conventional detection method which is used for multiuser detection in STBC CDMA system. We analyzed the improved method in bit error Probability viewpoint and compared the result with that of the conventional method In this result, we showed that the improved method obtains better performance of bit error probability than the conventional method when parameters such as delay, number of user and SNR are increased.
