Hazard Evaluation of Gas Processes Using a Multi-distinction Equipment Screening Algorithm (다중판별 장치 스크리닝 기법을 이용한 가스공정의 위험성 평가)

  • A Multi-distinction Equipment Screening Algorithm (MESA) is proposed. It selectively integrates Dow's F&EI as its process hazard index technique and ESA (Equipment Screening Algorithm) as qualitative hazard classification technique, and retrieves a detailed list of hazardous equipments with the total hazard indices of those equipments. The inherent expert system, which includes the accident scenarios of the equipments and processes and experts' views of them, narrows further down the list of hazardous equipments and recommends only the most notable candidates. Through the case study of distinguishing the hazardous ranking of the equipments of the LPG underground storage process, using the expert system or not, the applicability of MESA has been validated. Taking the characteristics of the process equipments with hazardous ranking in the point of process intrinsic safety, this proposed algorithm would contribute to providing engineers or managers with information on constructing safely devices and mitigation devices and on scheduling emergency response planning.

  • This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of remodeling business by predicting the future price of apartment house after remodeling using Hedonic Price Model. The data concerning such 9 independent variables as location, unit size, unit plan, landscape, parking, the number of elapsed years after completion, number of units, mechanical performance, interior from 25 regions in Seoul metropolitan city were collected and evaluated by established evaluation criteria. The coefficients affecting the price of apartment unit were made by way of linear multi-regression and put into Hedonic Price Model. The feasibility evaluation model for apartment was made and verified by data of remodelled apartment. The predicted results using suggested evaluation model coincide with actual apartment market situations.

의사의 자질과 태도가 의료서비스 만족도에 미치는 영향

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 의료서비스 만족도에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인들을 규명해 보고 그 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 특히 의료소비자가 인지하는 의료서비스의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 구성요소 가운데 의사, 간호사 등 의료인력 요소와 시설, 대기시간, 행정절차 등 비의료적 구성요소를 중심으로 만족도에 영향을 미치는 관련요인을 규명해 보았다. 본 연구에서 사용된 실증적 자료는 서울에 거주하는 사람으로 조사시점인 2007년 10월을 기점으로 지난 3개월 내에 의료서비스를 이용한 경험이 있는 사람을 대상으로 설문조사에 의해 수집되었고, 최종 543사례가 분석에 활용되었다. 의료서비스에 대한 만족도와 요인들간의 관련성을 파악하기 위해 상관관계 분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였고 특히 의료서비스의 질과 만족도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 의료 인력의 자질과 태도와의 연관성에 초점을 두어 분석하였다. 분석결과, 소비자의 의료서비스 만족도에 영향을 미치는 핵심적인 관련 요인으로는 의료인력 구성요소로서 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 "의사실력", "의사의 자상한 설명과 친절", "의사의 믿음직함", 그리고 "의사가 환자의 얘기를 귀담아 들어줌"이라는 의사의 자질과 태도가 가장 중요한 요인이라고 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 의료서비스의 질과 만족도연구는 소비자의 의료서비스 만족도 정보로 활용하므로 의료서비스 공급자와 의료기관 종사자들의 책임의식 고취와 고객중심적 의료서비스 문화 정착에 도움이 되고 소비자들에게 좀 더 나은 의료서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 의료공급자들에게 동기를 부여해 준다는 점에서도 의의가 있을 것이다.

A Study on Ontological Conceptual Definition of "Facility" ("시설"의 온톨로지적 개념 정의에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the 'facility' and its related concepts were analysed, and then ontological conceptual definition for the facility was conducted based on a variety of relationships between those concepts. First, as a facility conception relation, inclusion relation, instance relation, rule relation, attribute relation and part-whole relationships were investigated. Second, facility concepts were prescribed as a physical entity in which many parts were functionally integrated. Third, by strictly separating the basic concept and role concept, reading facility, exhibit facility, etc. were not supposed to make multiple inheritances by putting subordinate concepts as those of role concepts, not those of the concept of facility. Fourth and lastly, an ontology for the facility was made by using OWL DL.

Interpreting the Meaning of War Heritage Through World Heritage Case Studies (세계유산 사례를 통해 본 전쟁 유산의 의미 해석)

  • War is one of the most tragic and destructive incidents in human history, and it destroys precious cultural heritage. However, even amidst such devastation, certain cultural heritages convey messages of peace and human rights. This study aims to provide an in-depth interpretation of the significance of cultural heritage related to war. The research method involved an extensive review of theoretical discussions on war-related heritage. Based on this foundation, 18 cases of war heritage registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites were selected. These cases were classified and analyzed into three categories: "physical traces of war and military fortresses," "memories of war and atrocities, and messages of peace," and "restoration and reconstruction of cities destroyed by war." The results of this study confirm that war heritage encompasses not only physical evidence of war but also multilayered and complex meanings such as the memories and traumas of war, scars and healing, and conflict and reconciliation. Based on these findings, the study proposes that war heritage should be reinterpreted and expanded to represent a "heritage of peace" and transcend its role of only including physical traces of war to embody the values of peace. This demands a shift in perception that confronts the painful memories of war while transforming them into assets for building peace. Furthermore, it urges the active exploration of ways to utilize war heritage for peaceful purposes. This study distinguishes itself from existing research by deepening the academic discourse on war-related heritage and providing a theoretical foundation for the registration of war-related heritage as World Heritage Sites.

  • The incidents of massive personal information being leaked are occurring continuously over recent years. Personal information leaked outside is used for an illegal use of other's name and account theft. Especially it is happening on online games whose virtual goods, online game money and game items can be exchanged with real cash. When we research the real identity theft cases that happened in an online game, we can see that they happen massively in a short time. In this study, we define the characteristics of the mass attacks of the automated identity theft cases that occur in online games. Also we suggest a system to detect and prevent identity theft attacks in real time.

  • Most battleship warfare M&S systems run relatively slow and the simulation results are often unfair since the system should interact with human operators(controller and/or gamer). To deal with these problems, we have proposed the agent-based battleship warfare M&S system which interact with multiple agent systems instead of human operators. Agent-based M&S system may be able to efficiently support the analysis of effectiveness and/or the operational tactics development of given warfare by providing autonomous reasoning capabilities without the intervention of human controller. To do this, the paper propose the design concept and methodology using the advanced modeling and simulation framework as well as autonomous agent design principle. Several simulation tests performed on the battleship warfare case study on Korea Yellow sea will illustrate our techniques.

  • Aseismic designs of pile-supported wharves are commonly performed utilizing simplified dynamic analyses, such as multi-mode spectral analyses. Simplified analyses can be useful for evaluating the limit state of structures. However, several pile-supported wharves, that have been damaged during past earthquakes, have shown that soil deformation and soil-pile dynamic interaction significantly affect the entire behavior of structures. Such behavior can be captured by performing nonlinear effective stress analyses, which can properly consider the dynamic interactions among the soil-pile-structure. The present study attempts to investigate the earthquake performance of a pile-supported wharf utilizing a three-dimensional numerical method. The damaged pile-supported wharf at the Kobe Port during the Hyogo-ken Nambu earthquake (1995) is selected to verify the applicability of the numerical modeling. Analysis results showed a suitable agreement with the observations on the damaged wharf, and the significant effect of excess pore pressure development and pile-soil dynamic interaction on the seismic performance of the wharf.

  • 국가적 차원에서 물을 사용하고 통제하는 일은 국민의 생활에 큰 영향을 미치기 때문에 지구상의 모든 나라들은 주어진 여건에 맞게 효율적으로 물을 사용하고 홍수와 가뭄으로부터 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 많은 일울 수행하고 있다. 이와 같이 수자원 관리를 위해서 가장 근본적으로 이루어져야 하는 것이 물이 언제, 어디에, 얼마나 있는지를 파악하여 물이 있는 곳과 물이 필요한 곳을 연계하여 최적으로 물을 공급하고 관리하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 다중목적(이수, 치수, 수질) 적용 기법, 기존 관측소 활용 기법, NARI(Network Analysis for Regional Information) 기법, 지형적 최적 기법 등을 이용하여 하천의 최상류 지점에서 하구까지 모든 지점에 대한 신뢰성 있는 유량정보를 실시간으로 파악할 수 있는 유량측정망을 구축하는데 목적이 있다. 다중목적 적용 기법을 위하여, 수질목적으로는 오염총량제 대상지점을 활용 하였으며, 치수목적으로는 5대강 홍수통제소의 홍수예보 프로그램을 활용 하였고, 이수목적으로는 하천수 사용실태를 조사하여 이를 활용 하였다. 기존 관측소 활용 기법은 5대강 홍수통제소, 지자체, 농촌공사, 수자원공사, 환경부에서 운영하고 있는 수위관측소를 통합하여 중복투자에 따른 손실을 최소화 하고, 최적의 장소에 유량측정망을 구축하는 것이다.   • The object-oriented design methods and their CASE tools are widely used in practice by many real-time software developers. However, object-oriented CASE tools require an additional step of identifying tasks from a given design model. Unfortunately, it is difficult to automate this step for a couple of reasons: (1) there are inherent discrepancies between objects and tasks; and (2) it is hard to derive tasks while maximizing real-time schedulability since this problem makes a non-trivial optimization problem. As a result, in practical object-oriented CASE tools, task identification is usually performed in an ad-hoc manner using hints provided by human designers. In this paper, we present a systematic, schedulability-aware approach that can help mapping real-time object-oriented models to multi-threaded implementations. In our approach, a task contains a group of mutually exclusive transactions that may possess different periods and deadline. For this new task model, we provide a new schedulability analysis algorithm. We also show how the run-time system is implemented and how executable code is generated in our frame work. We have performed a case study. It shows the difficulty of task derivation problem and the utility of the automated synthesis of implementations as well as the Inappropriateness of the single-threaded implementations.
