A Study on the Development in Evaluation Indices and Model of the Quality level for Manufacturers of Military Suppliers (군수품 생산업체 품질수준 측정지표 및 모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The defense industry has recently been developed for boosting exports of weapon systems. The survey and analysis of the quality level are required to form a relevant policy for expanding the defense industry. Evaluation indices and modeling of the quality level for manufacturers are used to examine the status of internal quality management and quality management system in order to enhance the overall quality level and establish a quality policy in the field of military supplies. There were some restrictions to apply all aspects of the quality level in the previous model. This paper deals with the research and analysis of other types of model for evaluating the quality level, including the model used in the defense field. By enhancing the close link between procedure indices and performance indices, the research and analysis could be conducted objectively and intuitively. The developed and improved model and indices will be used in the next survey of the quality level for manufacturers of military supplies. The survey results will be used to establish effective government quality management policy.

Development of urban river data management platform(I) (도시하천관리 연계 플랫폼 개발(I))

  • In this study, we developed an integrated urban river data platform that collects, cleans, and provides data for urban river management. The urban river integrated data platform has the function of collecting data provided by various institutions using the Open API service. The collected data is purified through pre-processing and loaded into a database. The collected data can be reviewed and analyzed using a visualization system and provided through the Open API, so that it can be used as individual input data by combining them in the urban river model. In addition, the development system for real-time data was developed to apply real-time data to urban river models. Through this, users will be able to reduce the time and effort required for data collection, pre-processing and input data construction, thereby increasing efficiency and scalability in the development of urban river models and systems.

A nationwide analysis of mammalian biodiversity hotspots in South Korea (전국단위의 포유류 생물다양성우수지역 분석 연구)

  • Hotspots are top sites in terms of species diversity as the most threatened and most diverse sites which have been used to select priority areas for reserves. The purpose of this paper is to identify biodiversity hotspots through analyzing nationwide spatial patterns of species richness and rarity of Korean mammals. Four endangered mammals and eleven common mammals were selected as target species. Environmental variables as model input data were consisted of topography, distance, and vegetation structure etc. and Maxent was used to develop species distribution models for target species. Species richness and rarity were used as index of biodiversity. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, hotspots of species richness for endangered mammals were in high elevation and steep mountain areas. However, species richness for whole mammals were high in low elevation of mountains. Secondly, distribution pattern of species rarity for endangered mammals were similar as richness. However, hotspots of species rarity for whole mammals were a little different from species richness. Species rarity was high in both low and high elevation of mountain areas. This study will provide the useful information for a biodiversity assessment, a habitat conservation, a national ecological network plan, and the management of protected areas.

  • Physical models of underground mines are very useful to the design of mine openings and the management of work progress of mining companies as well as to consulting. Even though 3D image realization techniques for mine openings have already been developed by various companies the physical models are still widely used because they can provide better understanding without sophisticated equipments for the most of people. Conventional materials for the physical models are paper and acryl which demand a lot of time and labor to make the model even with low precision and high cost. In this research, 3D printing technique is adopted to develop the physical model with relatively short time, low cost, and proper degree of precision. Finally the computer software "UMine2STL" was developed and verified by comparing the printed product with its design.

  • Recent IT (information technology) environmental changes, such as emerging social network services or increasing user participation in multimedia environment, have made it necessary for e-learning systems to undergo changes in various ways. Metadata is an agreement for interoperability between different systems. The standardization of metadata for e-learning system has been driven by some domestic and international organizations, but applying diverse environmental changes into the design of e-learning metadata is in dire need. In this paper, we present a methodology for the analysis and design of modeling e-learning metadata and elicit the design requirements, on the basis of the metadata standard KEM 3.0, about the elements that are expected to be needed in future e-learning systems. Based on the requirements from the analysis, we present the three-layer model for classifying the requirements by the importance of metadata elements per Kana Model. An intelligent e-learning system is to be developed based on the proposed modeling design, which we hope to influence the development of an international standard in the future.

  • 물정보 중 가뭄 정보가 상대적으로 부족한 원인은 무엇을 가뭄으로 볼 것인지 정의하기 어렵기 때문이다. 특히 우리나라와 같이 댐 및 저수지, 광역상수도 등 수자원시스템 네트워크를 기반으로 물공급이 이루어지는 경우, 개별 요소만을 고려한 기존 가뭄모니터링 및 전망은 현실적이지 못하며, 가뭄 위험도 관리 측면에서도 부족한 부분이 있다. 가뭄 현상의 경우 기상학적 영향인 강수의 부족이 가장 큰 요소로 기여하지만 실질적으로 국민에 필요한 양보다 적은 양의 물이 공급될 때 국민들은 가뭄을 체감한다. 이러한 점을 보완하기 위하여 지역별로 사용하는 수원 및 물수급 시설 등을 세분화하고, 실적기반 분석을 통해 분석대상 지역의 가뭄을 정확히 판단하기 위한 합리적인 물수급 분석 모형 개발이 필요하다. 즉, 공간분석단위를 표준유역 단위 이하의 취방류 시설물을 기준으로 구성하고, 이들 시설물의 운영정보와 수문기상 빅데이터를 연계한 물순환 모형을 구현함으로써 댐, 저수지, 하천 등 다양한 수원을 가지는 유역 내 가용 수자원량을 준실시간 개념으로 평가하는 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 하천을 중심으로 물수급 관련 수요·공급 시설의 위치를 절점으로 부여하고 연결하는 물수급 네트워크 알고리즘을 통해 빅데이터 기반 물수급 분석 모형을 개발하였다. 주요 모니터링 지점 및 모든 이수 시설의 위치를 유역분석 기법을 통하여 점(point), 선(line), 면(shape)으로 구성된 지형공간정보의 위상(topology) 관계를 설정하여 물수급 분석의 계산순서를 선정하고, 시계열 DB를 입력하여 지점별 물수급 분석 결과를 도출하였다. 권역별 주요 수위-유량관측소 1:1 Nash 계수를 검증한 결과 저유량에서 0.8 이상의 높은 재현 성능을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서 개발된 물수급 분석 모형은 향후 물관련 이슈 지역의 용수공급능력 평가 및 수자원장기종합계획 등 다양한 수자원 정책평가에 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 최근 기후변화로 인해 전 지구적인 기후 특성이 변화하고 있으며, 기후 특성의 변화는 수문순환에도 큰 영향을 미친다. IPCC (Intergorvernmental Panel on Climate Change) 6차 기후변화 평가 보고서(2022)에 의하면 AR5 (Assessment Report 5)와 비교해 AR6 (Assessment Report 6)에서는 높은 신뢰도로 기후변화 영향의 범위 및 규모는 보다 확대되었으며, 단기적인 리스크로 극한기후 현상의 빈도와 강도 및 기간이 증가할 것으로 예측하였다. 또한, 중장기적인 리스크로 하천 유량의 규모와 관련한 극한 현상의 변화에 따라 수자원 관리 측면에서 어려움을 겪을 것으로 전망하였다. 위와 같은 기후변화에 대응하기 위해 국내에서는 기후변화와 관련된 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 국내 기후변화 관련 연구로는 ArcSWAT 모형을 활용한 RCP4.5, RCP8.5 시나리오 기반 미래 유출량 추정에 관한 연구와, SWAT, IHACRES, GR4J 모형을 이용한 용담댐 유역의 미래기간 유출량 변화 모의, SWAT과 VIC 모형을 활용한 미래 저유량 예측 시 관측 자료와 비교해 모형이 가지는 불확실성 평가 등 기후변화 영향을 평가 및 예측하기 위한 연구는 활발히 진행 중이다. 하지만, 최근 연구의 주요 동향은 유출 모형을 활용한 미래 유출량 모의에 초점이 맞추어져 있으며, 관측 자료를 통한 기후변화 평가 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한반도 5대 수계(한강, 금강, 낙동강, 영산강, 섬진강) 유량 관측소의 실측 유량을 활용해 과거기간의 기후변화에 따른 유출특성의 변화와, 미래기후변화 시나리오 자료를 활용한 미래기간 유출특성의 변화를 분석하였다. 분석 인자로 연 유출량, 1일 최대 유출량, 상위 90%에 해당하는 유출량, 하위 10%에 해당하는 유출량 등을 연도별로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 연도별 총 유출량의 큰 변화는 없지만, 홍수 기간의 첨두유량이 증가하는 동시에 갈수 기간 또한 빈도와 규모가 증가하는 양극화 현상이 진행되고 있음을 확인하였다.

A Study on the Development of Educational Services to Collaborate between Cultural Heritage Institutions (문화유산기관의 협업을 통한 교육서비스 개발에 관한 연구 - 기록관·도서관·박물관을 중심으로 -)

  • Traditionally, archives, libraries, and museums have been known to have common responsibilities in providing public service, despite of their differences in the nature of holdings. Recently, these institutions, which are keeping archival materials, increasingly collaborate with each other to provide effective integrated user service in educational programs. The study highlights the importance of collaboration among cultural institutions and analyzes the exemplary cases inside and outside Korea. By analyzing the current educational services conducted by the institutions, focusing on weaknesses and strengths, the authors mention that the analysis results can be referred to them when developing a model of educational services. Based on the analysis, this study finally offers a plan to activate the collaboration of cultural heritage institutions in Korea and develop a model for educational services using the ADDIE model.

Accident Rate Forecasting Model by Using Speed on Freeway (속도를 이용한 고속도로 구간 사고율 예측 모형)

  • The speed is one of the significant factors affecting accident occurrence. In particular, freeway accidents are highly associated with the speed because vehicles travel on the freeway at higher speed leading to greater potential of severer injury. Efforts attempting to relating speed with accident occurrence have not been significantly made in Korea. The objective of this study is to model the relationship between speed and accident rate on freeways. Loop detector data and accident data obtained from a stretch of Kyungboo freeway during the recent five years, 2005-2009, were used to establish the model. Multiple linear regression analyses showed that median, minimum and standard deviation of speed were contributing variables in the model. The statistical significance identified by the analyses supports the feasibility of the model in evaluating various transportation policies and operations strategies in terms of traffic safety.

Vehicle Routing for Maximizing Interlibrary-Loan Requests under Time Constraints (상호대차 요청 도서 운송량 최대화를 위한 차량 이동 방법 연구)

  • There are many systematic approaches to manage Interlibrary loan (ILL) efficiently. In this paper, we propose an operating method reducing user-waiting in ILL. Users are usually informed to wait around two to three days in a regional ILL service. The reason of the waiting is that there is inefficiency in running material-delivery vehicles. A mixed integer programming is employed to resolve this issue. It provides an optimal vehicle-route maximizing material-deliveries subject to time availability. We used an actual data of a regional ILL system to provide optimal vehicle routes under different time settings.
