  • 기본매질인 다공성 실리카에 phosphonic acd 관능기를 갖는 폴리스타이렌을 부착시켜 고 산성 조건에서 다가의 금속이온에 대한 홉착능을 향상시킨 이온교환체를 대상으로 Si, Na, P, Ti 등의 성분을 첨가하면서 반응시켜 얻은 생성물을 열처리한 후 열중량 및 XRD분석을 실시하여 유기관능기를 갖는 수지를 무기물화하여 안정화(고형화)하는 방안을 연구하였다.

Antioxidant Activity of Extract from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (황금 열수추출물의 항산화 작용에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the antioxidant activity of the water extract from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. using linoleic acid as lipids. The extract exhibited antioxidative effect at all concentrations tested. With metal ion(Fe3+) present, the extract showed strong antioxidative effect. These result indicated that the extract can be used for antioxidative agents in oriental medicine.

  • Electroflotation, which is used as an alternative to sedimentation, is a separation treatment process that uses small bubbles to remove low-density particulates. Making allowances for recent collision efficiency diagram based on trajectory analysis, it is necessary to tailor zeta potential of bubbles that collide with negatively charged particles. In this paper, the study was performed to investigate the effects of magnesium and aluminium ions on zeta potential of bubbles. And, it was studied to find out factors which could affect the positively charged bubbles. Consequently, zeta potential of bubbles increased both with higher concentration of metal ions and in the acidic pH value. And, a probable principle that explained the procedure of charge reversal could be a combined mechanism with both specific adsorption of hydroxylated species and laying down of hydroxide precipitate. It also depended on the metal ion concentration in the solution to display its capacity to control the bubble surface.

  • To improve water resistance of paperboard used to manufacture the corrugated boxes, effect of surface coating of the liner- board with Na-alginate was investigated by determining the optimum processing conditions such as a optimum alginate concentration for surface coating, plasticizer content, concentration of divalent cations their immersion times, For the surface coating of the liner-board, 2.5% Na-alginate solution was found to be the optimum concentration, and the concentration of glycerol used as plasticizer was effective when 35% alginate concentration was use was Used Immersion of the alginate coated paperboard for 3 min in a $CaCl_2$ solution improved the water resistance properties. As a divalent cation for the insolubilization of the alginate films, $Cu^{2+}$ was found to be as effective as $Ca^{2+}$. Among the platicizers tested, sorbitol was the most effective in reducing water vapor permeability and water solubility of alginate coated paperboard.

Methanol-to-Olefin Conversion over UZM-9 Zeolite: Effect of Transition Metal Ion Exchange on its Deactivation (UZM-9 제올라이트에서 메탄올의 올레핀으로 전환반응: 전이금속 이온 교환이 촉매의 활성저하에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of transition metal ion exchange into UZM-9 zeolite with LTA framework on its deactivation in methanol-to-olefin (MTO) conversion was discussed. The ion exchange of copper, cobalt, nickel, and iron did not induce any notable change in the crystallinity, crystal morphology, and acidity of UZM-9. The small cage entrance of UZM-9 caused the high selectivity to lower olefins in the MTO conversion, while its large cages allowed the rapid further cyclecondensation of active intermediates, polymethylbenzenes including hexamethylbenzene, resulting in a rapid deactivation. The UZM-9 containing copper and cobalt ions showed considerably slow deactivations. The interaction between transition metal ions and polymethylbenzene cation radicals, the active intermediates, generated in the MTO conversion stabilized the radicals and slowed down the deactivation of UZM-9.

  • The ion exchange sorption and elution behavior of toxic heavy metal ions, such as Hg(II) and Zn(II), have been studied in aqueous and methanolic media of MCl (M: K, Na and NH$\_$4/). The ion exchange resins studied are Dowex 1-X8, Cl$\^$-/ (50-100 or 200-400 mesh) and Dowex 50W-X8, M$\^$+/ form (M: K, Na, NH$\_$4/ and H). the sorption and elution of metal ion on the resin is largely due to the formation of the anionic chlororocomplex of metal ion. The addition of methanol in the medium contributes markedly to the distribution data. In order to apply this work for the treatment of polluted sea water with toxic heavy metal ions, removal experiment of the metal ions from the synthetic sample solution was investigated.

A Study on the Fixed-bed Adsorption of Heavy Metal Ions over Chitosan Bead (키토산 비드에 의한 중금속 이온의 고정층 흡착에 관한 연구)

  • Fixed-bed adsorption of metal ions on chitosan bead was studied to remove heavy metal ions in waste water. Chitin was extracted from carb shell and chitosan was prepared by deacetylation of the chitin. The chitosan in bead was used as an adsorbent for heavy metal ions. Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm was determined from the experimental results of equilibrium adsorption for individual metal ion ($Cu^{2+}$, $Co^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$) on chitosan bead. Adsorption strength of metal ions decreased in the order of $Cu^{2+}$>$Co^{2+}$>$Ni^{2+}$ ion. Breakthrough curves of single and multicomponent adsorption for metal ions were obtained from the experimental results of fixed-bed adsorption. The breakthrough curves were analyzed by simulation with fixed-bed adsorption equation based on LDFA (linear driving force approximation) adopted LAS (ideal adsorbed solution) theory which can predict multi-component adsorption isotherm from individual adsorption isotherm. The behavior of fixed bed adsorption for single and multi-component system could be nicely simulated by the equation.

  • Since Ion sputter machining can perform removing processing in atom or molecule units in vacuum state, it has the merit that high precision processing is possible. In this study, therefore, the effect of incidence ion beam is certified to processing amount and surface roughness when longtimed processing is applied. As a result, processing amount is made almost constant with time and the best processing condition is achieved when the incidencial angle of ion is 55.deg.. In addition, processing time for the good surface roughness is different respectively to the quality of material and longtimed processing has some defect for achieving good surface roughness.

A Study for the Increased Reliability of Al-1%Si Thin Film Metallizations (Al-1%Si 박막 금속화의 신뢰도 향상을 위한 연구)

  • Electromigration은 인가된 전계하에서 발생하는 전자풍력에 의한 금속 이온의 현 상이며, 반도체 디바이스의 주요 결함 원인으로 보고되어 왔다. 선폭 1$mu extrm{m}$의 Al-1%Si 금속 박막전도체에 대한 electromigration 수명 실험을 위해 인가된 d.c. 전류밀도는 10MA/cm2 이었고, electromigration에 대한 활성화 에너지 측정을 위한 분위기 온도는 $80^{\circ}C$, 10$0^{\circ}C$ 그리고 $120^{\circ}C$이었다. 평균수명 및 신뢰성에 대한 보호 절연막 효과를 위해 두께 3000 $\AA$의 SiO2 산화막을 sputtering 진공증착기를 사용하여 Al-1%Si 금속 박막 전도체 위에 증착하였 다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. Al-1%Si 금속 박막 전도체의 electromigration에 대한 활성화 에너지값은 0.75eV이었고 온도가 증가함에 따라 Al-1%Si의 수명은 감소하였고 신 뢰성은 향상되었다. SiO2 보호막은 electromigration에 대한 저항성을 크게 함으로써 평균수 명을 향상시켰으며, electromigration failure는 lognormal failure distribution은 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 전자파 차폐 및 반사방지용으로 사용되는 SiO$_2$/ITO 이층박막의 전기적 특성에 미치는 전이금속이온의 영향에 대해 고찰하고 전자파 차폐이론식으로부터 박막의 전도특성에 모사하여 효과적인 전자파 차폐효과를 얻기 위한 전도막을 설계하고자 하였다. ITO 상층부에 전이금속염을 첨가한 실리카 복합졸을 코팅하여 SiO$_2$/ITO 이층막을 제조한 결과 최저 표면저항치를 나타내는 첨가량은 전이금속의 종류에 따라 차이를 보이지만 Sn 및 Zn이 첨가된 졸로부터 형성된 박막은 $10^{5}$Ω/$\square$ 이하의 낮은 저항치를 보였으며 가장 안정된 표면저하을 나타내었다. 또한 전자파 차폐효과와 전도박막의 표면저항을 차폐이론식으로부터 모사한 결과 Zn과 Sn의 전이금속염이 첨가된 SiO$_2$/ITO 투명전도막은 TCO99에서 정한 전자파 차폐기준에 부합하였다.다.
