화학도금법에 의한 강의 니켈 및 크롬도금 (Studies on the Chemical Plating of Nickel and Chromium on Steel)

  • In chemical plating of nickel and chromium on steel, studies on various factors affect-ing the plating operations were carried out. The optimum bath compositions and operat-ing conditions were obtained. The structure and properties of the as deposits or deposits after heat treatment were investigated. (1) The most optimum conditions for the chemical nickel and chromium plating were; 〔Ni2+〕/〔H2PO2-〕; 0.5∼0.8, 〔Cr3+〕/〔H2PO2-〕; 0.6∼0.9 PH;5.0∼5.5, temperature; 90∼95$^{\circ}C$ (2) In the case of nickel deposition, the hardness of deposits increased with increasing phosphorous contents. Heat-treating at the temperature range 200$^{\circ}C$ to 600$^{\circ}C$, the maximum hardness of deposits was obtained at 400$^{\circ}C$ and decreased at temperature above 400$^{\circ}C$ due to growth of Ni3P. (3) Corrosion resistance of chemical nickel deposits was improved with increasing of p-hosphorous contents and heat treating temperature.

  • 가장 넓게 쓰이고 있는 알칼리염소법에 의한 도금폐수 처리법은 약 50년전에 Dodge와 Zabban에 의해 발표된 이론에 기초하고, 이것은 pH 및 ORP에 의존하는 반응으로 차아염소산이 시안화물을 시안산염으로 산화시키는 것이며, 알칼리조건하에서 염소화를 하는 동안에 시안화물이 파괴되고 중금속염은 침전을 생성한다. 이 반응은 1단계에서 시안산기가 바로 시안산나트륨으로 되는 것이 아니고 반응의 중간생성물인 염화시아노겐(CNCI)이라고 하는 독성물질이 생성되기 때문에 안전상의 문제가 있다. 또 알카리 염소법은 고농도일 경우에는 처리가 대단히 어렵고, 저농도일지라도 철, 니켈 및 구리와 같이 중금속성분이 다량 혼입되면 배출허용기준치이하로 처리하기는 사실상 불가능하다. 니켈 전주도금을 위한 PET의 엑시머 레이저 어블레이션 (The excimer laser ablation of PET for nickel electroforming)

  • In this study, manufacturing of polymer master and mold insert for micro injection molding was investigated. Ablation by excimer laser radiation could be used successfully to make 3-D microstructure of PET. The mechanism for ablative decomposition of PET with KrF excimer laser(λ: 248nm, pulse duration: 5ns) was explained by photochemical process. And this process showed PET to be adopted in polymer master for nickel mold insert. Nickel electroforming by using laser ablated PET master was preferable for replication method. Finally, it was shown that excimer laser ablation can substitute for X-ray lithography of LIGA process in microstructuring.

  • An injection molding is necessary to mass-product for micro-nano system, so micro-nano mold must be developed for injection molding. The micro-nano mold has precision and strength to overcome a surround of injection. So in this paper, two methods were used. First, after etching the Al, Ni was electroplated in etched AI. The other, LIGA method was used. A temperature and thickness of Ni are important factors in these methods. So after fabrication, the simulation was processed to find optimal thickenss of Ni and temperature.

다이어몬드 공구를 이용한 Ni 도금층의 정밀미세가공 시 절삭성 (Machinability in Micro-precision Machining of Ni-Plated Layer by Diamond Tool)

  • Recently, expansion of micro-technology parts requires micro-precision machining technology. Micro-groove machining is important to fabricate micro-grating lens and many micro-parts such as microscope lens, fluidic graphite channel etc. Conventional groove fabrication methods such as etching and lithography have some problems in efficiency and surface integrity. But, mechanical micromachining methods using single crystal diamond tools can reduce these problems in chemical process. For this reason, microfabrication methods are expected to be very efficient, and widely studied. This study deals with machinability in micro-precision V-grooves machining of nickel plated layer using non-rotational single crystal diamond tool and 3-axis micro stages. Micro V-groove shape, chip formation and tool wear were investigated for the analysis of machinability of Ni plated layer.

무전해 니켈-구리-인 도금의 도금속도와 열처리에 따른 경도 및 내삭성 변화 (Plating Rate of Electroless Nikel-Copper-Phosphorus Plating and Change in Microhardness and Corrosion Rate depending on. Heat treatment)

  • Electroless Ni-Cu-P plating was performed was performed to investigate for plating and changes in microhardness and corrosion rate of of electroless deposits depending on heat treatment. The activation energy for $75~85^{\circ}C$ were calculated to be 66.7KJ/mole. Plating rate increased to 34% with addition of 200ppm of NaF and 0.8ppm of thiourea to the bath. The highest hardness value was obtained by heat treatment deposits layer at$ 400^{\circ}C$, 1 hour. The increase in hardness of deposits by heating was confirmed to be associated with crystallization of the amorphous deposits. Corrosion resistance of deposir layer, which had been heated up to $300^{\circ}C$, was found to be exellent when immersed in 1N-H2SO4 solution, Change of the corrosion resistance seems to have some important bearing on content of amorpous, Ni3P and Cu3P.

  • Deposit charateristics of Electroless nickel(EN) were investigated with various complexing agents. As expected, the deposition rate of nickel is increased with pH and that of Phosphorous is decreased with pH. The result of SEM investigation shows that the rough surface crystallization is appeared with pH. It is show that the surface resistance of EN deposit is decreased with pH at 85$^{\circ}C$.

  • Bath stabilizers in the electroless nickel(EN) plating solution are known to prevent sudden bath decomposition and extend its lifetime. Further, every stabilizer has a different role and function in EN solution and it influences the surface structure. In this study, the effects of various stabilizers on the deposition rate, surface morphology, deposition content of phosphor and hardness were investigated.

  • 원전 증기 발생기 재료로 사용되는 Alloy 600의 내부식성 향상을 위하여 레이저 범을 이용한 레이저 표면합금화(Laser Surface Alloying, LSA) 방법을 이용, 표면에 약 200$\mu\textrm{m}$ 두께의 합금층을 형성시켰다. 첨가한 원소는 크롬 또는 크롬과 니켈의 혼합체를 사용하였으며 첨가법으로는 도금과 용사를 이용하였다. 용사법으로 만든 LSA 시편의 특성과 문제점에 대해 고찰하고 이러한 문제점을 해결하는 방법으로 크롬 도금법을 택하였다. 이들 결과를 레이저 처리를 하지 않은 시편들과 비교하여 부식 거동을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 LSA 시편의 경우 As-received 시편, 레이저 표면 용융(LSM) 들과 비교해 아주 우수한 내부식성을 가졌으며 입계 내부식성도 크게 증가하였다. 이는 크롬 첨가로 인해 크롬의 농도가 많아져 부동태 피막의 형성이 쉬워졌기 때문으로 해석되었다.

  • Nylon-inorganic filler alloy의 도금에 있어 최적 전처리 공정에 관하여 연구하였다. Nylon-inorganic filler alloy는 etching 공정만으로도 무정형층을 제거하여 요구되는 충분한 밀착력을 얻을 수 있었다. SEM과 표면조도 측정으로부터 etching 공정이 수지표면을 매우 거칠고 접착력을 우수하게 만든다는 결과를 얻었으며, 도금물질의 표면상태와 접착력은 Nylon-inorganic filler alloy 수지의 성형조건에 의존한다는 것을 확인하였다. EDS 분석으로 전처리 후 수지표면의 잔류금속의 종류와 양을 측정한 결과 Cr은 Sn과 Pd의 흡착에 크게 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
