Development and Application of a Smart Learning System based on Problem-solving Strategies for Children with Learning Disabilities (학습장애학생을 위한 문제해결기반 스마트러닝 시스템의 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to develop and implement a smart learning system based on problem-solving strategy for children with learning disabilities. The proposed system is developed to increase general study ability and problem-solving ability of children with learning disabilities. The proposed system has the following characteristics. First, the general study ability and problem-solving ability can be increased by adopting problem-solving strategy. Second, both smart application and SNS can be used in the proposed system. Third, study self-efficacy can be increased by adopting step-by-step learning. The following results are obtained after applying the proposed system to some children with learning disabilities. First, their general study ability is increased. Second, their problem-solving ability is increased. Third, confidence in self-efficacy, sense of accomplishment, and self-confidence in study are improved. In additions, utilization ability in information and information equipment is also increased.

A Study on the Learning-Instruction Model for Information Literacy for College Students (대학생의 정보활용능력 교수학습모형 개발에 관한 기초연구)

  • This research has been done to develope a curricular model for the Information Literacy Course as one of liberal arts courses in Korean universities. This curricular model had resulted from investigating the standards and models for Information Literacy at the 4 standards(ACRL in USA, CAUL in Australia ANZILL in Australia and New Zealand, and SCONUL in the United Kingdom), 5 syllabi for Information Literacy used by 5 American universities and 33 syllabi by 23 Korean universities. On the basis of these educational results of the Information Literacy syllabi, a learning-instruction model has come into being for the Information Literacy Course that includes 7 core areas : information sources, information need, information access. information analysis, information management, information transfer and communication, and information ethics.

  • 연구개발의 성과는 투입 자원의 크기로만 결정되는 것이 아니라, 이를 어떻게 효율적으로 관리하느냐에 보다 크게 의존된다. 따라서 한 국가의 기술혁신능력은 연구 개발의 관리 능력에 의해 좌우되며 이의 요체는 연구기획·평가기능이라 할 수 있다. 최근 첨단 기술의 주도권을 둘러싸고 선진국들 간의 개발 경쟁이 치열해짐에 따라 각국은 국가적 차원에서 대규모의 전략적 연구개발의 대형화·복합화 추세가 가속화되고 있고, 이에 대응하여 연구 기획·평가에 있어서 새로운 체계적인 방법론 및 기법이 요구되고 있다. 본 토에서는 '80년대 이후 선진국을 중심으로 변화·발전하고 있는 연구평가의 새로운 접근 방법을 파악하고, 미국,일본,EC,영국의 연구 평가 추진 현황 및 사례를 분석함으로써 우리 나라의 연구평가 시스템의 구축에 관한 시사점을 찾고자 한다. Differences of Perception Between Students and Teachers to the Key Competencies Education in the University through A College Practice (대학의 직업기초능력 교육에 대한 교수와 학생의 인식 차이: A대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • The expectation and importance for the key competencies education in the university have been greater. Although there have been many various efforts of the university for its social accountability that it should cultivate the qualified person company requires, there is a bit gap between the university education and social demand. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and demand of students and teachers to the key competencies and then offer a help to develop and operate strategies with which university education can be prepared for the demand of teachers, students and society. In this study, questionnaires on the perception and demand to the key competencies education were developed and responded by 475 students and 58 professors as a subject of this study. The results were analysed using multiple response frequency analysis, cross analysis and t-test. Also the statistical level of significance was set at p<.05 by using SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The results suggested that there were significant differences between the perception and demand of teachers and students to the key competencies education, particularly to the items questioning the degree of difficulty in preparing for future employment, the most important resource from which they can obtain aids, the degree of efforts they put for the key competencies development and employment, and the main factors for the key competencies development and employment. We can expect to offer an implication for the university education based on perception and demand of teachers and students to the key competencies.

A Study on Validating Causal Reasoning Ability Test for Children (아동용 인과추론능력검사 개발 예비 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop picture testing instrument for measuring children's causal reasoning ability on events that can occur in daily life. The measurement instrument contains three domain of human development; haman behavior domain, human psychology domain, and natural/physical domain. Through this study, researchers designed a concept model based on theoretical framework and prior studies and investigated the reliability and validity of the measurement instrument which was developed in accordance with the concept model. For the empirical validation research, a pretest was conducted to 336 elementary school students in grade 2 to 4 in Seoul. Considering reliability and validity of the developed measurement instrument and factor loadings, researchers sorted out 18 questions. And then 18 question test and KICE Critical Thinking Ability Test was conducted to 509 elementary school students in grade 1 to 4 in Seoul. According to the result of the tests, the researchers sorted out final 12 questions. The Cronbach's alpha, reliability of the children's causal reasoning ability test consisted of the final 12 question, was significant as .72. Also, the result of exploratory factor analysis showed that factors of this test were haman behavior domain, human psychology domain, and natural/physical domain. Moreover, the correlation between the KEDI Reasoning Ability Test(2003) scores and the scores of the test developed in the current study was significant as .55. Finally, the result of the analysis about children's grade differences, the development by discrepancy of age was significant in total points and that of each domain. The children's causal reasoning ability test developed by this study can be useful not only for the evaluation of children's thinking ability but also for screening of the handicapped children in thinking ability development.
