Multifunctionality of agriculture which cannot be in trade has internationally an important issue due to its environmental and public benefits. The purpose of this study was to estimate economic value of upland farming in cooling effect during hot summer. Economic value of cooling effect was evaluated by the replacement cost method. To evaluate the cooling effect from July through August, the amount of evapotranspiration in upland was estimated using crop coefficients and soil water coefficients perviously reported by several researchers. In July and August, average crop coefficient of fourteen major upland crops was 1.19 and average soil water coefficient of major textures of upland soil was 0.91. The estimated evapotranspiration in upland from July through August was $1,224{\times}10^6Mg$, and this amount of evapotranspiration can consume $7.1{\times}10^{14}kcal$ of heat. When these values were converted to the price of petroleum, the economic value of cooling effect by upland farming from July through August was about 12 trillion won.

The advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution provides new civilized convenience, while the humanistic ecological environment is at stake. Therefore, looking at our culture and arts ecological foundations is ultimately for the preparation of a rich life for the future. Therefore, establishing a desirable cultural ecosystem begins with an enduring tradition of traditional art.This study examined the dancing characteristics of gabbigochanong-ag, which maintains the nongsapul-inong-ag performance pattern. Two field studies and image analysis studies showed that gabbigochanong-ag maintained the characteristics of traditional nong-ag, which strengthened the solidarity and cooperation of village community members and shared community identity. gabbigochanong-ag encourages the participation of the members of the village community through mechanistic dance movements based on soundness, imitative dance movements with minimal movement, repetitive dance movements, and communicative dance movements, As a result of the change, the members of the group were attracted to each other. Although gabbigochanong-ag was not sophisticated or sophisticated, it had a dancing structure that could create aesthetics and marginal aesthetics of slowness from the swiftness and convenience of civilization and bring harmony among the members of the community with warm emotion.

농사는 잡초와의 싸움이라고 하였다. 벼농사에서 파종, 육묘, 이앙 등의 재배과정은 기계화로 인해 투입 시간이 매년 절감되고 있으나 잡초 방제 투입 시간은 증가하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 제초제 사용 횟수도 증가하고 있다. 이러한 원인의 가장 큰 이유는 논에서 제초제 저항성 잡초들이 전국적으로 빠르게 확산하고 있기 때문이다. 제초제 저항성 잡초의 발생 원인과 잡초 제거 방법에 대해 알아본다.

원활한 용수의 수급은 성공적인 농업의 필수조건이다. 지난해 봄은 전국이 오랜 가뭄으로 시달렸다. 그런데 어떻게 가을에는 풍년이 들었는가? 이유는 모내기에 필요한 농업용수 대부분이 가뭄 발생전에 모아져 저수지에서 공급되었기 때문이다. 그러나 금년 봄의 가뭄은 작년보다 훨씬 가혹할 전망이다. 미리 확보해 둔 물의 양이 훨씬 적기 때문이다.

로봇이 진화하면 과연 사람과 같은 지능을 갖출 수 있을까. 60년대 초 미국에서 처음 등장한 산업용 로봇은 진화를 거듭하여 서비스로봇 과정을 거쳐 마침내 사람을 닮은 휴먼로봇시대로 들어가기 시작했다. 21세기에는 농사를 돕는 로봇, 불을 끄는 소방용 로봇, 요리하는 가정용 로봇, 수술하는 로봇 등 사람을 대신하는 다양한 로봇이 등장할 것이다.
