Analysis on Preferred Element on Constructing Creative Play Space Design (창의적 놀이 공간 구축을 위한 디자인 선호 요소 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the various perspectives that children can provide by utilizing specific physical spaces for play, and to study how to effectively apply them to surrounding spaces and environments. AHP was used to analyze the preferred elements for effectively designing a play area. The main keywords were derived through case studies of various domestic and foreign play space designs, and each keyword was grouped and a keyword of a higher concept was derived. The results of the comparison of 14 keywords that were finally drawn using AHP for each element were used to derive the priority for the preferred elements. As a result, preference was derived in the order of "Openness", "Safety", and "Diversity" in the morphological properties of the play space, and "Adventure", "Five senses elements", "Visual elements" and "Interactivity" in the content properties of the play space.

A Design Education Program for Children's Participation Design - Focused on Eogong 6ho Children's Park in Suwon - (어린이 참여디자인을 위한 디자인 교육 프로그램 연구 - 수원시 어공6호 어린이공원을 사례로 -)

  • Recently, citizen participation and user - oriented design are becoming increasingly important in the urban space design process. The Children's Park has also begun to discuss the need to reflect children's opinions and needs as well as existing ways and means of participation to reflect these opinions and ideas. In this study, a design education program for children was constructed and user opinions accessed via this design education were reflected in design and applied to the Children's Park. The training program consists of five weeks of educational programs, textbooks and teaching methods related to existing research, design education for children and participatory design programs. This program was used as a pilot of Eogong-6ho Children 's Park(No. 6 Children's Park), located in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, and reinterpreted the results of the workshop for 5th grade students at Sunil Elementary School. This design education program is distinguished from other workshop programs on how to organize and operate participating professors and textbooks, and has a program base that can reproduce the entire process. In addition, it is necessary to verify the effects of user participation through research, such as monitoring the use of children's parks after completion, as well as the application of more diverse design methodologies to children's parks and the way they reflect children's opinions.

  • This paper is to propose a design possibility that incorporates participatory process and also to emphasize the participatory process applied to the planning of outdoor playground space open to the neighboring community. Community design based on the participation method can be understood as an attitude about a force for change in the creation and management of environments for people who are the major users of them. Planning for outdoor space is an integral part of school education and a vital component of child development. For the design of outdoor space of Samyang Elementary School it first needs to examine the current and emerging needs of students, teachers and parents as community residents through the participatory design method. A series of workshops and interviews are taken to identify dreams and ideal spaces of each group. An assessment of existing school spaces and design possibility of reprogrammed outdoor spaces are proposed to match the major demands of participants. Selected outdoor places are chosen and designed to accommodate options for various play settings and to make the school pleasant places where members of the neighborhood can gather for relaxation in restful surroundings.

  • Given the our life environment being the original space which surrounding human today's our environment turned in the artificial and dried space because it's focus on planned and made by city's function and efficiency. So Isamu Noguchi is try to express the formative space which can live nature and human, and human and space together just for a bit. And he succeeded to create the new molding formation named the environment and sculpture to deeply get the problem on nature of place and understanding of place for aesthetic satisfaction. So he makes great contribution towards the monument and field of environmental sculpture. So this thesis is for making clear the importance of space for the sculpture and effect on Isamu Noguchi's environmental sculpture by analyzing the various artworks by Isamu Noguchi and studying his space concept and space sensation of his through generating the experiment of space and eclecticism. Noguchi pursed the harmony with the artwork by expending the architectural space to the full, and he focus his energies to left the artwork which with the public in their lives.
