Owing to increase of the large-scaled, high-raised and complexed building construction, the escape design of the building became very important issue to insure the safety of occupant. Specially, it is demanded to have building escape regulation considering for inconvenient movers such as disables elders pregnant women. However, building regulations for inconvenient movers are divided into "Regulation of Escape and Fire-prevention of Building" and "Act on the Promotion and Guarantee of Access for the Disabled, the Aged and Pregnant Women to Facilities and Information". But, for the escape security of inconvenient movers, the connection of each regulation are necessary. So this study suggested the improvement direction of the building escape regulation considering inconvenient movers through the compared analysis on the "Regulation of Escape and Fire-prevention of Building" and "Act on the Promotion and Guarantee of Access for the Disabled, the Aged and Pregnant Women to Facilities and Information".

This study examines the scale of occurrence of Catastrophic Health Expenditure, and identifies the factors influencing Catastrophic Health Expenditure among disabled elderly households. Catastrophic Health Expenditure is defined by when the households' health care spending out of ability to pay exceeds 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. This study used the 2008, 2009, and 2010 surveys of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(PSED) to explore how gender, age, spouse, the level of education, the degree of disability, the type of disability, disability duration, subjective health status, chronic disease, the number of household members, the proportion of disabled households, the proportion of working households, the proportion of aged households, the type of poverty, household income, net asset, determine Catastrophic Health Expenditure among disabled elderly households. The study examines the frequency of Catastrophic Health Expenditure with 726 households, and conducted the panel logit model. The empirical results show that Catastrophic Health Expenditures are significantly related to age, spouse, the type of disability, subjective health status, chronic disease, the number of households, the proportion of disabled households, the proportion of aged households, the type of poverty. This study showed that the health care safety net in South Korea was insufficient for disabled elderly households and that a policy should be established in ordered to protect disabled elderly households from occurrence of Catastrophic Health Expenditure.

Modern countries have almost ratified the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities and are creating environments to prevent discrimination against these individuals. In 1996, the International Maritime Organization presented a recommendation for the design and operation of passenger ships to respond to elderly and disabled persons' needs. In Korea, an act on the promotion of transportation convenience for mobility disadvantaged persons has been implemented, and facilities for the disabled have been rapidly installed in ships, vehicles, aircraft, railways and passenger terminals. However, the maritime transport environment is less concerned about disabled persons than safety. In this study, basic research was conducted to improve the maritime transport environment for disabled people in Korea through a field survey and literature survey. As a result, it was found that relevant laws and regulations have not been properly applied to excursion ships and ferries as well as small-scale ports, which are responsible for a large part of coastal passenger transportation. In addition to low installation rates of facilities for the transportation of persons with disabilities in ships and terminals, loose equipment was also considered. Therefore, it is necessary to protect the human rights of persons with disabilities, which are universal values of humanity, by complementing laws and introducing improved facilities.

The purpose of the study is to identify the degree of relevancy on the facilities for the older persons in the public library buildings. To achieve the purpose, the study has researched and analyzed' the guidelines of the law contributing to the convenience of the handicapped, older persons, pregnant women etc(1999)' for the older persons accessing to the facilities in the public library buildings. And then, the older persons' physical standard sizes in 'Size Korea(1997)' are researched and reconfigured. The study has selected the 10 kinds in such facilities as followed : Door, Accessible Route, Stair, Elevator, Escalator, Ramp, Toilet Stall, Urinal, Table, and Post Box. As the result, the study has identified the relevancies of each facilities based on the older persons's physical standard sizes.

To date, large print books have been published in Korea only for partially-sighted persons. However, as a recent explanation in the Reading Culture Promotion Act indicates, people who cannot use reading materials due to old age are now also considered to be reading-handicapped. This study is aimed at investigating the proper characteristics for the improvement of print publication for elderly people using data from a survey of 80 elderly persons. This study identified elderly people's preferences on the major characteristics of large format books such as font style, character size, line width, and page layout, derived from both quantitative and quantitative research methods.

This study was to identify the factors influencing the quality of life for the elderly with disabilities in the aging society. For this purpose, this study tried to examine the relationship between the factors which are Social support, Decrease in depression of the elderly with disabilities and Quality of life for the elderly with disabilities, and also identify the moderating effect of living independence. This study tested the research model based on panel data of the elderly with disabilities in Korea Welfare Panel Study. Th result are as follows: First, social support(family support and peer support) positively impact on depression of the elderly with disabilities. Second, decrease in depression of the elderly with disabilities positively impact on the quality of life for the elderly with disabilities. Finally, the higher living independence of the elderly with disabilities, decrease in depression of the elderly with disabilities positively impact on life support services and treatment services whereas does not impact on leisure life significantly.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of exercise intervention applying various devices to increase the physical activity of the disabled, and to suggest the exercise intervention using converged devices that meet the needs of the times due to the increase of elderly people with disabilities. Exercise intervention using converged devices applicable to the disabled is divided into two types: first, exercise intervention using virtual reality-based gamification, and second, exercise intervention based on wearable devices of wearable or body-attached such as bands and watches. For exercise intervention using converged devices that can be enjoyed by the elderly with disability, minimize of environmental limitations, and easy to personalize, there is a need for configuration requirements such as easy operation and simple rules of operation, easy device installation and wearing, a trainer who can complement immature device utilization. In order to maintain and improve the daily living performance of the elderly with disabilities who experience a significant decrease in their cognitive and physical functions, it is necessary to use a physical activity game that can be experienced and can be interested in everyday life or a variety of devices to increase the amount of physical activity.

The definition of digital poverty has not been changed since it was used at the first digital divide survey in 2000s. The objective of this study is to reexamine and redefine digital poverty targets of digital divide survey. This study examines the present state for the target of the digital divide survey focusing on Disabilities, Low-Income and Elders and then redefines digital poverty for them. The results suggest to reexamine 15 types of disabilities by the revised the Disabled Welfare Law as digital divide targets, rather than limiting to physical, brain, hearing and visual disabilities. For the low-income target, people on the second-to-the bottom income bracket as well as those on basic welfare should be included as the target of low-income people for digital poverty. The age of the elder target for digital poverty should be adjusted to sixty-five or more in the era of aging population.

무한 사이버 공간인 인터넷의 발달과 함께 인터넷의 사용이 크게 늘어 거의 대부분이 인터넷을 이용하고 있다. 이러한 인터넷에서의 정보와 지식은 누구나가 어떠한 환경에서도 사용가능해야 한다. 장애인, 노인, 어린이, 약시 등을 고려한 웹 개발이 절실하다. 국내에서는 2008년 4월 11일 "장애인차별금지 및 권리구제 등에 관한 법률" 동법시행령(제14조)에 웹 접근성 의무화 조항 마련을 마련하여 복지 분야 뿐 아니라 인터넷에서도 장애인에 대한 평등을 강화하였다. 매년 웹 접근성 실태조사를 하고 있는 중앙행정기관의 웹 접근성 평균 점수는 2005년 72.3점, 2006년 81.8점, 2007년 88.2점, 2008년 90.6점이고, 광역지자체는 2005년 71.6점, 2006년 81.8점, 2007년 86.8점, 91.6점으로 해마다 향상되고 있는 것으로 나타났다(한국정보화진흥원 웹접근성연구소, 2009). 이와 비교해 볼 때, 민간기업의 웹사이트는 웹 접근성 준수율이 많이 낮으므로 본 연구에서는 한국 미국 일본 50대 기업의 웹 접근성 및 사용성에 대해 나라별, 기업별로 실증 평가 분석하여 문제점을 도출하고 개선안을 제시하여 민간기업의 웹 접근성, 사용성 수준을 향상시키는데 다소라도 기여하고자 하며 향후 IPTV, 휴대폰 등 다양한 웹 접근성 연구 분야에 대해 제시했다.

This research aimed at suggesting the research direction by investigating the trend of advanced researches that were conducted targeting the 'family of the people with disabilities' in Korea. For this, the researchers selected 6 domestic academic journals, that is, 4 academic journals focusing on disability or family and 2 academic journals that generally treat the topics related to social welfare among the registered academic journals. The researchers conducted a descriptive analysis of the frequency of the research on the family of the people with disabilities, research area, research target, and research method targeting 157 researches published between the first issue and September 2017 issue, which targeted the family of the people with disabilities. Also, this research analyzed how the family function appeared in 157 researches by utilizing the analysis frame that reclassified and composed the family function areas suggested in the advanced research into 6 areas. Based on the analysis result, this research implied that research on extended family member of the people with disabilities, which had focused on the mother of the disabled, necessity of family research considering various types of disability, extension of attention to the family of the elderly disabled people, and the research on family function area method that reflect the stream of the period.
