한국이 정보 선진국으로 발전함에 따라 노인들의 스마트폰 보유율은 증가하고 있지만, 디지털 환경에 대한 접근성과 경험 부족 등의 이유로 아직도 디지털 약자이다. 그런데도 노령층들이 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 노령자 전용 애플리케이션의 개발은 저조한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해소하기 위해 노령층을 대상으로 다양한 생활 정보를 제공하는 모바일 애플리케이션, 'Seniors Guide'를 개발하였다. 'Seniors Guide'는 사용자 거주지역 주민 센터의 자치 프로그램 정보, 노인 일자리 정보, TV 프로그램 알람, 투약 시간 알람 설정 기능을 제공하는 등 노령층에서 자주 이용하는 다양한 정보와 기능들을 하나의 애플리케이션에서 유용하게 사용할 수 있도록 하는 앱으로 구현되었다.

This study explored the potential associations among older adults' online community uses, socialization, and social isolation. Results from the hierarchical regression analysis indicated that the quality and size of personal networks composed of online community members positively influences older adults' socialization and reduces social isolation. However, the frequency of meeting with online community members in offline settings was not significantly associated with socialization. Moreover, the amount of time using online communities indirectly and significantly affected social isolation, mediated by socialization. Results from this study address the positive roles of online community uses in overcoming psychological difficulties among elderly people.

세계화가 사회적 불평등을 심화시키고 있지만 이에 대처하는 개별 국가의 능력은 오히려 약화되고 있으며, 그 결과 노인인구층의 복지여건이 악화되고 있다는 것이 종래의 일반적인 인식이다. 본 논문은 이러한 일반적 인식을 재검토하는데 목적이 있다. 검토작업은 다음 네가지 영역에서 이뤄진다. 첫째, 세계화에 대한 상이한 개념정의와 시각을 검토한다. 여기에는 노령층에 대한 복지급여를 잔여적 급여로 전환시키는데 있어 핵심적 역할을 행하고 있는 주요 국제기구의 활동을 중점 논의한다. 둘째, 세계화가 개별 국가에 미치는 영향이 일률적이라는 시각을 재검토하기 위해 세계화에 대해 서로 다르게 반응한 미국과 유럽방식을 비교한다. 셋째, 세계화가 노령화 정책에 미치는 영향에 대해 논의한다. 넷째, '사회적 삶의질'이란 개념을 통해 노인계층의 복지수준은 경제적 성장보다 사회적 급여에 더 큰 영향을 받게 됨을 보여 주고자 한다.

아파트 경비원을 대상으로 직무환경에 관한 설문조사를 실시한 결과를 통계적으로 분석하여 범죄예방에 관한 업무의 증대, 범죄 대응체제강화, 노령층의 아파트 경비원에 대한 직업적 인식, 아파트 경비에 적합한 임금특례 모색의 필요성을 도출했다.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the clinicopathological characteristics and postoperative prognosis of two age groups with gastric cancer in order to establish the proper treatment strategy in these groups of patients. Materials and Methods: Among patients with gastric cancer who underwent a gastrectomy between 1990 and 1996 at the Department of Surgery, Kyungpook National University, the clinicopathological characteristics, including the postoperative survival, of patients younger than 40-years old were compared with those of patients over 69-years old. Results: During that period 1,125 gastric cancer patients underwent a gastrectomy. Among them, 111 patients ($9.9\%$) were less than 40-years old, and 96 patients ($8.5\%$) were over 69-years old. In the young group, 79 patients ($71.2\%$) had a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, and 59 patients from the elderly group ($61.5\%$) had a well- or moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma (P<0.05). Curative surgery was performed for 88 ($79.3\%$) patients in the young group and 78 ($81.3\%$) patients in the elderly group. This difference was not statistically significant. There was no statistically significant difference in the 5-year survival rates between the young and the elderly ($66.3\%\;vs.\;47.2\%$) groups, but the 5-year survival rate of the young group was significantly higher than that of the elderly group after a curative resection ($83.2\%\;vs.\;53.3\%$; P<0.05). Also the 5-year survival rate of the elderly group was significantly higher than that of the young group after a non-curative resection ($20.4\%\;vs.\;4.6\%$; P<0.05). Conclusions: For young patients, more efforts are needed to detect gastric cancer in its early stages so that a curative surgery can be performed. However, for the elderly, surgical treatment is recommended at any stage because of the relatively high survival rate, even after non-curative surgery.

최근에는 답리작 사료작물인 호맥, 연맥, 보리, 이탈이안라이그라스 재배가 늘어나는 추세이며, 벼를 이용한 사일리지재배로 이루어질 전망이며 볏짚을 이용한 사일리지로 지속 될 것으로 보여 열거한 이들 작물의 파종과 수확작업에 80% 이상의 노동력이 투자되고 농가인구의 1/3이상이 60세 이상인 노령층의 인구를 감안 농기계의 고급화 및 단순화 작업이 요구되며 또한, 트랙터의 국내 보급률이 15% 미만이고 조사료 생산 작업에 필요한 장비가 부족하여 수요가 늘어 날것으로 판단되며 축산농기계가 대부분 수입에 의존하는 실정으로 농기계사용법을 숙지하지 못해 사고와 고장이 잦아 적기에 작업해야 할 제반작업이 늦어져 양질조사료 생산에 지장을 초래 하는 바 이점을 착안, 축산과학원에서 경험한 농기계 사용법을 소개한다.

This study is intended to explore an income level necessart for the old-age by income Status. Firstly, it is verified whether there is significant difference between old-age and working age or not. Secondly, if their difference is found, it will be identified that it is determined by certain factors. Thirdly, it is brought out needful income level for the old-age living through analysing old-age consumption expenditure level over working age. The results in this research are as follows. Firstly, there is a significant difference between old-age and working age. Secondly, the major factors which generated difference between old-age and working age consumption expenditure are income, household size, and age. Thirdly, the income level necessary for oldage living is on average 61 %. By income status, it is 90-100% for low income status, 60-70% for middle income status, 50-60% for high income status.

문헌에 의하면 대상포진의 원인은 바이러스에 대한 세포성 면역이 저하될 때, 또는 악성종양 등으로 면역억제제 치료를 받아서 2차적으로 면역이 저하될 때 체내에 잠재해 있던 바이러스가 재활되어 발병하는 것으로 추정하고 있다. 본 저자도 이에 대하여 의견을 같이하고 있는데 노령층의 $60\~70$대 여자환자수가 압도적으로 많았다는 점과, $20\~39$세 사이의 청${\cdot}$장년층에서는 단1명의 대상자가 없다는 점뿐 아니라, 본 대상자중 11세의 소녀는 7세때 뇌종양 수술을 2차례에 걸쳐 실시한 후 면역제제를 계속적으로 사용하는 있는 점 등은 문헌의 발병원인과 상당히 일치하였다. <전파 양식> 비말 감염 (droplet infection)으로 전파되며, 수두와 달리 전염성이 높지 않다. <잠복기> 잠복해 있던 바이러스가 언제 재활할지 알 수 없으므로 불명이다. 그러나 본조사에서는 대상포진에 대한 병력을 가진 사람이 없었고, 발생 원인을 본인 자신도 모르고 있었다. <합병증> Ramsay Hunt의 증후에 의하면 합병증은 외이도의 수포, 안면신경마비, 혀의 2/3부분의 미각상실, 간혹 청각 및 평행장애를 일으킨다고 한다. <치료> 대상포진의 대증요법으로 calamine lotion Burrow solution의 wet dressing 진통제 및 cytosine arabinoside나 adenosine arabinoside와 같은 항히스타인제, 최근에는 Acyclovir가 많이 사용되고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
