Rapid advances in ubiquitous computing and its pervasive influence over our society demand an efficient way to locate resources over the network. In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) which is a special type of the sub-networks in ubiquitous environment, effective resource discovery is particularly important, due to their dynamics and the resource constraints on wireless nodes. In this paper, we propose an adaptive and efficient resource discovery strategy for MANETs. Our strategy also provides a solution to bridge different types of networks which coexist in ubiquitous environment.

인류는 정보전달매체의 변화를 통하여 오늘날 정보기술의 새로운 패러다임으로 변 화하게 되었다. 이러한 변화는 언어에 의한 문자혁명을 시작으로 종이에 의한 인쇄혁명, 통 신매체에 의한 통신혁명 나아가 정보기술의 발달로 인한 정보혁명의 시대로 발전하게 되었 다. 정보기술의 발달은 네트워크 및 통신기술의 진전으로 기업의 업무프로세스를 변혁하게 되었으며 기업은 인터넷을 전략적인 경쟁무기로 활용하게 되었다. 글로벌기업은 글로벌시장 에서 글로벌 네트워크를 통하여 21세기 초일류기업으로 살아 남기 위하여 인터넷의 전략적 활용을 더욱 강조하게 되었다. 이에 본 연구는 최근에 급속하게 확산되고 있는 인터넷의 전 략적 모형 및 비용편익분석을 중심으로 고찰하였다.

본 논문은 광네트워크(optical network)에서 정보의 송/수신에 필요한 광경로를 설정하기 위한 방법으로 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 라우팅 전략을 제시하고 있다. 논문에서 제시하는 유전자 알고리즘(genetic algorithms)은 메쉬형(mesh-like)광 네트워크의 각 링크에 적은 수의 광경로(lightpath)가 통과하도록 하여 네트워크 전체 링크의 사용빈도를 감소시키고 광경로들이 특정 링크로 집중되는 현상을 감소시켜 네트워크의 효율을 증가시키는 라우팅 전략을 제시할 수 있음을 보이고 있다.

Nowadays an increasing number of Internet users are running individual websites as Blog or Cyworld. As this type of personal media has a great influence on communication among people, business comes to care about Network Effect, Network Software, and Social Network. For instance, Cyworld created the web service called 'Minihompy' for individual web-logs, and acquired 2.4milion users in 2007. Although many people assumed that the popularity of Minihompy, or Blog would be a passing fad, Cyworld has improved its service, and expanded its Network with various contents. This kind of expansion reflects survival efforts from infinite competitions among ISPs (Internet Service Provider) with focus on enhancing usability to users. However, Cyworld's Network Effect is gradually diminished in these days. Both of low production cost of service vendors and the low searching/conversing costs of users combine to make ISPs hard to keep their market share sustainable. To overcome this lackluster trend, Cyworld has adopted new strategies and try to lock their users in their service. Various efforts to improve the continuance and expansion of Network effect remain unclear and uncertain. If we understand beforehand how a service would improve Network effect, and which service could bring more effect, ISPs can get substantial help in launching their new business strategy. Regardless many diverse ideas to increase their user's duration online ISPs cannot guarantee 'how the new service strategies will end up in profitability. Therefore, this research studies about Network effect of Cyworld's 'Minihompy' using System-Dynamics method which could analyze dynamic relation between users and ISPs. Furthermore, the research aims to predict changes of Network Effect based on the strategy of new service. 'Page View' and 'Duration Time' can be enhanced for the short tenn because they enhance the service functionality. However, these services cannot increase the Network in the long-run. Limitations of this research include that we predict the future merely based on the limited data. We also limit the independent variables over Network Effect only to the following two issues: Increasing the number of users and increasing the Service Functionality. Despite of some limitations, this study perhaps gives some insights to the policy makers or others facing the stiff competition in the network business.

본 연구는 자동차부품산업의 구조조정과정에서 나타나는 산업재편과정과 노동조합의 대응을 조직환경론의 세 가지 관점으로 분석해보려고 하는 탐색적 연구이다. 조직환경론은 환경변화에 대응하는 조직의 논리와 전략을 다루는 분야이다. 따라서 조직환경론의 분야는 조직과 환경의 관계를 어떻게 보아야 할 것인가, 그리고 조직이 어떻게 환경변화에 대처하느냐, 나아가 환경의 변화를 유도하기 위하여 어떤 자원과 전략을 활용해야 하는가에 대한 유용한 시사점을 줄 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 환경과의 의존을 회피하는 것이 좋다는 자원의존관점, 오히려 환경에 대한 의존을 높여 성공할 수 있다는 협력 네트워크관점, 조직변화는 불가능하고 적소를 찾아가야 한다는 조직군생태학 관점을 적용하여 기업의 전략을 분석해보고자 하였다. 이에 따라 원청업체 의존을 회피하려는 기업, 협력네트워크관계에 적극적으로 가입하는 기업, 한국이라는 조직군을 떠나 해외로 이전하는 기업을 대상으로 설문을 분석하고 그 영향요인을 살펴보고자하였다. 분석결과 자원의존을 회피하려는 기업은 가격의 변동과 단가인하가 큰 경우 회피하려는 성향을 보였으며, 반대로 협력네트워크에 들어가려고 하는 기업은 매출의존도가 높아 납품안정성을 기하려는 목적이었으며 해외로 이전하는 기업은 장기간의 경험과 규모가 커지며 새로운 장소로 이전하는 것으로 분석되었다. 즉 자동차부품기업은 단가나 가격의 변화가 심하면 의존을 줄이려고 하며, 안정적 납품을 원할 때 의존을 늘리며 이러한 상태가 장기화되면 새로운 적소를 찾아 떠나는 경향이 있는 것으로 이해된다. 또한 노동조합의 대응차원에서 자원의존관점에 의하여 내부적 전략방향의 설정과 공동연대의 필요성을, 협력네트워크관점에 의하여 산별노조 및 연대의 필요성을, 조직군생태학 관점에 의하여 노동자 통제권의 확보문제를 이론적 차원에서 정리하고자 하였으며 실증은 추후의 연구과제로 제시하였다.

기업 전략 경영의 자원기반 접근방법(resource based approach)에서 핵심역량에 대한 중요성이 부각되면서 지식이 기업 핵심역량의 원천의 하나로 인식되고 있으며 지식 근로자는 지식 사회의 중심적 역할을 할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 그러나 지금까지 지식 경영을 도입하고 있는 기업의 반 이상이 가시적 성과를 얻지 못하고 있는 실정이며 이것은 지식경영을 단순한 정보기술로 간주하거나 명확한 목표와 전략 없이 도입하는 데에서 기인한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 지식의 원천이 데이터베이스나 인터넷보다는 사람의 머리 속에 더 풍부하게 존재한다는 측면에서 휴먼 네트워크를 생성하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 지식의 흐름을 정의하고 지식 행렬을 산출하며 이를 토대로 조직의 구성원간의 네트워크를 생성한다. 마지막으로는 각 구성원들의 중요도와 네트워크의 구조적 특성을 분석하였다. 이 결과는 지식 경영에서의 전략을 수립하는 데 의미 있는 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

최근 사용자의 멀티미디어 서비스 요구가 보편화되면서 네트워크에 걸리는 부하가 늘어나게 되었고, 사용자들이 미디어를 다운로드한 후 플레이하는 방법보다 스트리밍 서비스를 선호함에 따라 실시간성이 더욱 중요시되고 있다. 웹 서비스에 전통적으로 사용되는 프록시 서버는 네트워크의 가장자리에 위치하여 클라이언트와 서버 사이의 거리 때문에 발생하는 문제를 주로 해결한다. 하지만 고 대역폭과 긴 서비스 시간이라는 특징을 가지는 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스에서는 전통적인 웹 프록시의 장점을 제대로 활용하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 미디어 스트리밍 서비스에서 네트워크 트래픽을 감소시키고 서비스 지연시간을 줄이기 위한 새로운 캐슁 전략을 제안한다. 제안된 전략에서 프록시 서버는 미디어 데이터의 일부와 미디어의 프리픽스를 캐슁하여 클라이언트가 요청한 미디어를 바로 인접한 프록시에서 찾도록 하여, 고 대역폭을 사용하는 스트리밍 시스템에서 네트워크 부하와 초기 지연을 줄인다.

Due to the fact that it is relatively easy to transfer technology between application developers or content providers, low entry barrier in the business causes fierce competition among the venture companies in mobile service industry. Our study examines a sustainable strategies to operate a business for venture companies that are in a highly competitive technology-intensive industry. In this paper, we examine how venture firms created a network and brought synergy effects, using network theory. Korean venture firm, YelloMobile, uses unique strategies of merger and acquisition through the method of swapping equity and thereby establishing network. We contribute to expand network theory by examining three elements of network: such as network structure, network governance mechanisms, and network contents.

When the WiBro/WLAN hierarchical network is structured, a dual mode access terminal should keep WLAN module with power on state for operating in WiBro network outside of WLAN hotspot zone. Power consumption of user's access terminal can be increased to maintain WLAN module power on state of dual mode access terminal in WiBro network outside of the hotspot zone. This paper focuses on power saving strategy for a dual mode access terminal in WiBro/WLAN Hierarchical network to overcome problems regarding power. We will apply information about hotspot in WiBro network to establish the efficient power saving strategy for dual mode access terminal.
