상업용 냉장고의 상황 감지를 위한 인버터형 실외기 신호 분석 (Signal Analysis of Inverter-Type Outdoor Unit for Detecting Operation Changes of Commercial Refrigerator)

  • Unlike household refrigerators, commercial refrigerators are composed of separate indoor and outdoor units. The outdoor unit of most commercial refrigerators is designed to run at a fixed speed, which results in low energy efficiency and loud fan noise. Moreover, it cannot respond flexibly to changing thermal load in the indoor unit. Inverter type outdoor units can address such problems through speed changes based on information obtained from the indoor unit. However, using two units from different manufacturers is often not a viable solution. If condition changes in the indoor unit can be detected without communication between the two units, it is possible to adjust the speed of the outdoor unit. This paper attempts to analyze the signal from the outdoor unit when the condition of the indoor unit changes by varying the thermal load.

이젝터를 적용한 팽창기체 흡입 냉동시스템의 성능향상 해석 연구 (Theoretical study on the performance improvement of refrigeration system installed with ejector entraining expansion gases after expansion process)

  • 본 연구는 이젝터 팽창기를 적용한 냉동기에서 팽창한 냉매가 액기분리기에 포집된 후, 이 중 포화기체의 일부는 이젝터로 재흡입되고, 포화액체는 증발기에 유입되어 증발된 후 액기분리기의 잔여 기체와 혼합되어 압축되는 공정을 고안하여 특성을 해석하였다. 본 공정의 특성은 이젝터에서 등엔트로피 팽창 후 액체량의 증가로 냉동능력이 증가하고, 압축기에 유입되는 기체의 압력이 상승하게 되어 압축일이 감소함으로써 효율이 증가하게 된다. 냉매 R134a를 적용하는 냉장고 시스템과 본 고안 시스템을 비교한 결과, 이젝터에서 압력이 65% 저하될 때 COP는 27.8%가 증가된 최대값이 되었다. 다른 냉매의 경우 R401A가 75% 압력강하에서 40.1%의 COP 증가를 보였다. 이젝터의 디퓨져에서의 압력 상승율이 20%~60%까지 변화될 때, COP 증가율은 2.6%~3%로 영향이 매우 적었다.

  • 근래에 선형전동기로 냉장고 등 냉동기기의 압축기 피스톤을 제어하는 선형압축기가 높은 효율 때문에 많이 주목받고 있다. 선형압축기의 피스톤 스트로크는 LPMSM의 입력 전압 및 전류값을 적분하여 구하며, 이 입력 신호에 직류성분이 포함될 경우 스트로크가 발산된다. 본 연구에서는 고역필터 및 직류 옵셋 보상 방식을 사용하여 입력 전압 및 전류의 직류성분에 의한 스트로크의 발산을 방지하는 기법을 제시하였다. 고역필터의 차단주파수에 대한 스트로크의 크기 및 위상과 스트로크에 포함된 직류옵셋 값의 관계를 유도하고, 직류 옵셋 값을 보상하여 정확한 스트로크를 계산한다. 새로 개발된 스트로크 계산방법의 성능은 16비트 DSP 구현된 선형압축기 시스템의 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • General Mechanical Structures have various and complex vibration transmission paths. In order to identify the mechanism of vibration transmission. The correct estimation of exciation forces and the exact modeling of transmission paths are required. In this paper, vector synthesis technique is employed to identify the characteristics of vibration input and it's transmission to body structure for the mounting system of a compressor in a refrigerator. Vibration reduction efficiency of each transmission path is evaluated by comparing individual vector components obtained before and after the paths from experimental research. The degree of effect is used to estimate the contribution of vibration input components to total output. And this paper presents a new technique based on simulation studies using vector synthesis dragram, by which the effects of change of the magnitude and phase of transmission paths can be predicted.

Base Plate 연구를 통한 냉장고 진동 저감 방안 고찰 (A study on the Base Plate to reduce vibration for Refrigerator)

  • In this paper, we present our method to reduce vibration of the base plate of a refrigerator by avoiding resonance between base plate and compressor operation. To verify the modes of the base plate, FE models of the base plate with free-free condition and applied boundary condition were built and validated by results from experimental modal analysis. Operating Deflection Shape analysis was applied to find the sensitive area on the base plate during compressor operation. In optimization process, Finite Difference Method - based sensitivity analysis is used to detect the most sensitive area. Finally, based on this numerical result, we will make beads on the base plate to reduce vibration of refrigerator.

  • The reliability qualification test is essential in order to ensure the life time of the product under the normal operation conditions when a new product is developed. The reliability qualification test period has an important impact on the development time of new product. Therefore, some researches to reduce the test time of reliability qualification test have been actively studied. Generally, accelerated life test is well known as one method that can save the test time of the reliability qualification test. This test is conducted under the higher stress condition than normal condition. So we need to investigate what factor affects to the higher stress condition. This paper shows the relationship between the acceleration factor and reliability qualification test period. Especially, we focused on the method to obtain effective acceleration factors under the high temperature condition. Through some experiments for a refrigerator's compressor, we were able to confirm how to increase acceleration factors and how to reduce the reliability qualification test period with minimum samples.

  • Generally accelerated life test is well known as one method to reduce reliability qualification test period. This test is conducted under the higher stress condition than normal condition. So it can save the test time by calculating the acceleration factor from the relationship between the worst stress condition and normal condition. This paper investigates the worst stress condition for the accelerated life test to increase the acceleration factor. Especially, we focused on the method to obtain effective acceleration factors under the worst stress condition. Moreover, we considered how to decide the worst stress condition by looking for the operating limit of this system. The acceleration factor can be estimated from the ratio of the kinematic viscosity in the normal condition and the worst stress condition, the lowest temperature, by using Arrhenius relationship. Through some experiments for a refrigerator's compressor, we were able to confirm how to increase acceleration factors and how to reduce the reliability qualification test period with minimum samples.

소형 냉장고용 왕복동식 압축기의 효율향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficiency Enhancement in a Reciprocating Compressor for a Domestic Refrigerator)

  • Efficiency of the compressor is most important parameter in the domestic refrigerator which runs year around. With developed analytical model about heat transfer analysis in the hermetic compressor, parametric study was performed to know the effect on efficiency by design and material modification of the compressor. Volumetric efficiency of the compressor increased approximately $3\%$ when insulation is increased about $50\%$ in suction component. However, the insulation effect on discharge component was only $1\%$. When the thermal conductivity of the discharge plenum is reduced from 300 to 20 $W/m{\cdot}K$, volumetric efficiency increased about $3.1\%$. There is no attraction in efficiency increment with variation of outside surface area of the compressor and radial heat transfer coefficient of the solid component in the compressor shell.

소형 냉장고용 왕복동식 압축기의 열전달에 관한 수치해석 연구 (A Numerical Study on Heat Transfer in a Reciprocating Compressor for a Domestic Refrigerator)

  • An analytical model was developed using the lumped mass parameter method to estimate temperature distribution of metal parts and refrigerant of the hermetic reciprocating compressor, All of the lumped mass has been equated with the first law of thermodynamics. In the delivered equation, correlations of heat transfer coefficient in the heat transfer equation were taken from open literature. The equations are solved by Gauss-Jordan method simultaneously. To verify the developed numerical program, an experiment was conducted with a domestic refrigerator. The compressor which had been installed at the bottom of the experimental refrigerator was modified to measure internal temperature. Model verification test was conducted at $30^{\circ}C$ outdoor temperature with variation of compressor cooling conditions. As a result, there is a good consistency between calculated temperature and measured one.

  • 최근 가전제품에 브러시리스 직류 (Brushless DC) 전동기의 센서리스 드라이브를 적용시키는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 특히 사람들의 삶의 질이 향상 됨에 따라 가정에서 가장 밀접하게 연관되어 있는 냉장고, 에어컨과 같은 가전제품에 가청소음을 줄여 보다 편안하고 안락한 생활을 추구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 브러시리스 직류전동기에 랜덤 PWM을 적용한 냉장고용 압축기의 저가형 센서리스 드라이브를 이용하여 기존 드라이브 보다 가격과 소음을 줄일 수 있음을 실험하였다. 이러한 실험으로 전자적 소음을 줄임으로써 소음에 질을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
