Experimental Study on the Flexural Performance of Steel Beams Reinforced by AFRP Sheets (아라미드 섬유 쉬트를 이용한 철골 보 부재의 휨 보강 성능에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) sheets have been widely used to retrofit and rehabilitate RC structures, while in case of retrofitting steel structures, there are no codes and researches. It stems from configuration of member and characteristics of bonding behavior. This study focused on the static behavior of steel beams reinforcement by AFRP sheets. The main objective of the experimental programme was the evaluation of the force transfer mechanism, the increment of the beam load carrying capacity and the bending stiffness. A bending test was conducted on a H-shaped steel beam, with aramid FRP sheets bonded to its flanges. The mid-span deflection and the strain from three points along AFRP sheets were recorded Test results exhibit that the increment of the load-carrying capacity with reference to a mid-span deflection level of 15 mm(1/125mm of the clear span) was equal to 9.4% and for the two layers case, an elastic stiffness increment is slightly higher than one layer case.

  • Performance based fire engineering design is being adopted around the world as a rationed means of providing efficient and effective fire safety in Building. This development is being supported by the adoption of performance based codes which specify the objective and minimum performance requirements for fire safety traditional design for fire safety which is still practiced in many countries, relies on "prescriptive" codes which specify how a building is to be built, which no statement of objective and little or no opportunity to offer more rational alterative design. It is the aim of this study to investigate and analyze the research direction of structural fire resistance design of RC structures for recommendation of PBD in Korea.

  • A growing number of larger and bigger tunnels are being constructed, along with the continuing enhancement of road design speed, thereby increasing the frequency of vehicles using tunnels. For such reasons, a fire in tunnels may lead to such situations. Gases and heat caused by fires are to be blamed for such disasters, as well as the development of vehicles leads to the construction of large tunnels. Therefore this study is to provide for the safety of public and rescue personnel in the event of a fire within the tunnel system. For these purpose, the tunnel system must be protected from collapse during a specified time period. This study introduced the role of ITA, it is to developed guidelines for techniques and materials to answer these structural requirements and make tunnels and their ancillary structures more resistant to fire damage.

  • 고체산화물 연료전지는 $800{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$인 고온에서 작동하므로 적용되는 밀봉재의 요구조건은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 SOFC 밀봉재로서 $SiO_2-B_2O_3-RO$계 결정화 유리를 선정하였으며 작동온도 부근에서 결정화를 유도하여 고온점성유동을 제어하고자 하였다. 따라서 $SiO_2-B_2O_3-RO$계에 RO인 CaO, SrO, BaO, MgO를 상호 치환하였을 때 결정상의 생성, 생성온도, 생성결정의 종류가 sealing 특성에 어떠한 영향을 주는가를 검토하였다. 결정화유리를 $800^{\circ}C$로 유지하였을 때 생성되는 주 결정상은 Calsium silicate, Strontium silicate, Barium silicate, Magnesium silicate이였으며 Strontium silicate 의 생성속도가 가장 빨랐으며 결정상은 불산으로 에칭하여 SEM으로 관찰하였다. Barium silicate를 유도한 결정화 유리가 $800^{\circ}C$에서 1000시간 유지하였을 경우 가장 내화학성이 우수하며 강도값도 154MPa로 가장 높았다. 또한 부분 결정화를 통해 $800^{\circ}C$ 점성유동이 제어됨을 고온현미경을 통해 관찰하였다.

  • 폴리케톤 섬유는 제조 원료로 에틸렌과 일산화탄소를 사용하여 합성한 공중합체 물질로 생산에 필요한 비용을 크게 절약할 수 있다. 폴리케톤 섬유는 p-아라미드 섬유에 근접하는 고강도 고탄성을 가진 섬유로 우수한 내화학성을 가지며, 고무와의 계면접착이 우수하다는 특성을 가지고 있어 MRG(Mechanical Rubber Goods)용 보강재 및 타이어코드로의 사용에 대한 관심이 증대하고 있다. 그러나 폴리케톤 섬유의 생산 및 산업현장에서의 활용은 아직 적은 상태로 그 특성에 대한 연구가 미흡한 상태이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 폴리케톤 섬유의 기본적인 특성 분석을 하고, 폴리케톤 소재의 표면을 UV 조사와 인산을 이용한 산처리 방법을 이용하여 처리하고 표면처리에 따른 폴리케톤 섬유의 표면특성 및 물성특성을 분석하였다. UV 조사 처리시 에너지 변화와 산처리시의 pH조건 및 처리시간의 변화에 따른 표면의 미세구조를 SEM과 AFM 등을 이용하여 관찰한 결과, UV 에너지와 산처리 조건의 증가에 따라 표면요철이 증가를 보이다가 과도한 처리에 의하여 표면에 degradation이 발생하였다. 또한 UV 에너지 및 산처리 조건에 따른 열적, 화학적 그리고 물리적 특성의 변화를 분석하였다.

  • The efficiency of the car's wiper blade has a great contribution to the guarantee of security. To guarantee the wiper blade's ability of getting rid of dust sticking on the glass surface, the qualities of lubricant, durability, heat resistant, low temperature, ozone resistant, chemical resistant must be good as well as it being noiseless. Like this, in order to improve the wiper's skills, it is essential to have a system that is able to assess and analyse the properties of the wiper. In this paper, to create a system that measures the car's wiper pressure, an analog/digital converter (ADC) that receives signals generated from the pressure sensor and transmits it to a personal computer is proposed. The designed ADC is one of the pipeline ADCs that can obtain fast movement rate and also a structure that can optimize the entire system's area as well as the consumption of strength.

Fatigue Characteristics and its Nondestructive Evaluation of Fire-resistance Steel for Construction with Low Yield Ratio and High Strength (저항복비·고강도 구조용 내화강의 피로특성 및 비파괴평가)

  • The fatigue test was carried out to evaluate the fatigue characteristics of fire resistance steel for frame structure and heat affected zone (HAZ) by the one side Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW). In this paper, the fatigue crack growth behavior was investigated with the compact tension specimen of base metal and the HAZ according to chemical composition and rolling end temperature, respectively. And the acoustic emission signals obtained from the fatigue test were analyzed by the time-frequency analysis method as a nondestructive evaluation. Main results obtained are summarized as follows; The hardness was appeared softening phenomenon that weld metal and HAZ are lower than that of base metal. Fatigue life of welded specimen was longer than that of base metal. m was 3~4.5 in base metal and 3.8~5.8 in HAZ. The main frequency range of acoustic emission signal analyzed from time-frequency method is different with the range by noise and crack. Also, it could be classified that it was also generated by fracture mechanics of dimple, inclusion etc.

실리콘계 투명하드코팅을 이용한 CNT 투명전도막의 내구성 증진에 관한 연구

  • 균일한 전기 전도성 및 우수한 광투과성과 내화학성을 갖는 탄소나노튜브(CNT) 기반의 투명전도막(TCF)은 기존의 ITO 박막보다 우수한 유연성을 갖기 때문에 차세대 플렉시블 디스플레이 소재로서 많은 관심을 모으고 있다. 특히 낮은 저항과 투과도가 일정하면서 투명 전도막의 내구성을 향상 및 유지 시키는 연구는 상업화에 가장 필요한 연구 분야이다. 본 연구에서는 PET기판을 이용한 탄소나노튜브로 제작된 투명전도막 위에 오버 코팅을 통한 물성에 따른 내구성 개선 및 유지를 연구하였다. 오버 코팅 물질로는 실리콘계 투명 하드코팅 소재를 기본으로 하고 용매 및 합성 온도을 제어하여 내구성을 개선하고자 하였다. 연구결과 CNT 코팅층과 오버 코팅층과의 젖음성이 물성 향상에 가장 많은 영향을 끼치는 것을 관찰하였고, 특히 젖음성이 증가할수록 투과도와 전기전도도가 향상되는 것을 확인하였다. 구조 분석결과, 이러한 젖음성에 가장 많은 영향을 주는 것은 용매의 비점과 비중 그리고 용질의 합성 온도 임을 확인하였다. 또한 오버코팅 물질 중 고비점 용매가 고온 고습 환경에서 240시간 이상 내구성 테스트 결과, 투명전도성 평가 지수(${\sigma}DC/{\sigma}OP$)가 향상되었고 또한 테스트 전후의 HAZE 변화율이 10%이하 임을 확인하였다.

  • Perfluorinated sulfonic acid ionomers (PFSAs) have been widely as solid electrolyte materials for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells, since they exhibit excellent chemical durability under their harsh application conditions as well as good proton conductivity. Even PFSA materials, however, suffer from physical failures associated with repeated membrane swelling and deswelling, resulting in fairly reduced electrochemical lifetime. In this study, pore-filling membranes are prepared by impregnating a Nafion ionomer into the pore of a porous PTFE support film and their fundamental characteristics are evaluated. The developed pore-filling membranes exhibit extremely high proton conductivity of about $0.5S\;cm^{-1}@90^{\circ}C$ in liquid water.

  • This study is performed to propose a standard to evaluate fire protection assessment for concrete structures during a fire on road tunnel. Recently, a number of road tunnels have been rapidly increased and fire risk also multiplyed according to extend tunnel length, due to natural features and environmentally-friendly road construction in domestic. But we have not yet been prescribed appropriate time-temperature curve for tunnel fire. Therefore we presented fire design model and investigated time-temperature curve proposed by a foreign country considering traffic, a kinds of vehicles which are a basis of heat rate.
