Natural Oleosomes Loading Emulsion Technology -Loading Oleosomes as Delivery Systems for Improved Cosmetic Efficacies- (천연 Oleosomes를 이용한 에멀젼 기술)

  • Natural safflower oleosomes are small ($1{\sim}3{\mu}m$) spherical shaped "reservoir", inside which the seed stores triglycerides for use as a future energy source. The surface of the oleosome is covered with a high molecular weight ($20{\sim}24$ KDa) oleosin protein which has been demonstrated to have emulsification properties. Traditionally, oleosomes from oil bearing seeds such as safflower were simply crushed to liberate the oil within. Our patented DermaSphere technology allows for the isolation of oleosomes in the intact state. Once isolated, these materials can be used in skin care formulations to deliver the emolliency, occlusivity, and anti-oxidant effects typically associated with safflower oil. However, because of the presence of the emulsifying oleosin protein covering the spherical oil body, oleosomes have self-emulsification property as well as can emulsify other oil phase in typical oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion. The oleosomes can literally serve as the entire non-active portion of the oil phase of a typical skin care product. Most importantly, natural oleosomes can be loaded with other oil-soluble active materials and can therefore be used as delivery systems for improved cosmetic efficacies. Oleosomes can be loaded with various actives, such as fragrances, vitamins, inset repellents, and UV chromophores. The loaded oleosomes can be utilized to either protect the active ingredients within the formulation itself or to allow for control release of those actives over time.

Dielectric properties of low temperature firing glass reacted (Ba, Sr)$TiO_3$$ ceramic capacitors (저온소결용 (Ba, Sr)$TiO_3$-Glass계 세라믹스의 유전특성)

  • Low temperature firing $(Ba, Sr)TiO_{3}$ dielectrics were successfully prepared with lead based glass and those electrical properties were investigated. Different amount of PbO content glass materials were added to dielectrics to investigate the sinterability and its dielectric properties. Also, various compositions of ceramic capacitors were prepared to applicate in multilayer ceramic capacitors. A large amount of experiment has been done with various Pb contented glasses and different sintering temperatures. The sintering temperature of $(Ba,Sr)TiO_{3}$can be reduced from $1350^{\circ}C$to as low as $1050^{\circ}C$ with 4wt% addition of $PbO-ZnO-B_{2}O_{2}$ glass materials. Its dielectric constant at room temperature was up to 8100 with low dielectric loss, 0.005. This ceramic capacitor showed fully fired microstructures with its grain size of 1-3$\mu \textrm{m}$. The sintered body which was sintered at $1150^{\circ}C$ for 2hr with 4wt% $PbO-ZnO-B_{2}O_{2}$ glass material addition satisfied the Z5U specification of the EIAS.

  • This study is focus on the relationship between the role of FTA and service trade performance enhancing strategy in Korea. and It is on the verification of the focus to the competitive promoting strategy of the logistics industry. finally proposition of the policy making to the government is proposed in the research. The invigoration of the service trade through FTA focus on the logistics industry is very combinative economy policy target with the side of government and the side of private enterprises both. added to this, this is the goal of impossible to achieve just with the development of logistics industry itself. it needs to construct the organic relationship, that is the implement and enforcement of the SCM through logistics industry network. Thus, on logistics, the 3rd party operating system implementation is top priority to gain international competitiveness. furthermore, the 4th party facilitation including consulting function and IT technology to pursue the maximum effectiveness logistics service providing.

  • The general programming channels, newly introduced around the beginning of the 2010s, have grown into powerful journalistic agencies, the far-reaching social influences of which are not confined by the economic effects within the South Korean media industry. They are now rendered to become part of major socio-political institutions that try to secure their privileges based on broadcast journalism, and to widen their business opportunities through those special kind of social practices. This research has taken a path of theoretical endeavour to devise a conceptual framework that will effectively lead to a series of academic investigation into the socio-political characteristics of general programming channels. To this end, specific attention is paid to such theoretical and conceptual resources as the instrumentalization of media by the politics, the political sociology of media power, media-political parallelism, and the structural coupling between the political and the media systems. This paper suggests that general programming channels have emerged as a new interface that accommodates and actualizes the structural coupling between the two societal subsystems, and in the course of that, they undercut the vulnerable basis of media public sphere, effectively replacing it with entertaining media-political sphere constructed and managed by themselves. This sphere is where the media system's logic and the poltical system's logic are intertwined, simutaneously accelerating not only the mediatization of the politics but also the politicization of the media.

  • The WBAN technology means a short distance wireless network which provides each device interactive communication by connecting devices inside and outside of body. Standardization on the physical layer, data link layer, network layer and application layer is in progress by IEEE 802.15.6 TG BAN. Wireless body area network is usually configured in energy efficient using sensor and zigbee device due to the power limitation and the characteristics of human body. Wireless sensor network consist of sensor field and sink node. Sensor field are composed a lot of sensor node and sink node collect sensing data. Wireless sensor network has capacity of the self constitution by protocol where placed in large area without fixed position. Mobile sink node distribute energy consumption therefore network life time was increased than fixed sink node. The energy efficient is important matter in wireless body area network because energy resource was limited on sensor node. In this paper we proposed cluster topology algorithm for efficient data transmission in wireless body area network based mobile sink. The proposed algorithm show good performance under the advantage of grid routing protocol and TDMA scheduling that minimized overlap area on cluster and reduced amount of data on cluster header in error prone wireless sensor network based on mobile sink.

A Study on Cost-Benefit Analysis for Geographic Information (국토지리정보의 비용편익(B/C) 분석)

  • Since the National Geographic Information System(NGIS) project of 1995, the geographic information projects have been promoted in various areas such as central and local governments. In the fact that large scale budget has been invested to geographic information projects as a national policy, the cost-benefit analysis would be essential to enhance the efficiency of the resource allocation. In this circumstance, this study analyzes the costs and benefits of geographic information produced by NGI(National Geography Institute). As a result of the cost-benefit analysis, the total amount of benefits were estimated approximately 620 million dollars and the accumulated ratio of the cost to benefit was 1 to 4.4. Also, the internal ratio of the benefit was 38%, which justified the large scale investment. In case of adding qualitative benefits which can not be measured in a quantitative term, the overall benefits from using such geographic information would be much higher than quantitative benefits. Further research work is required for more objective verification of the large scale national project such as building nationwide geographic information.

  • As the clock frequency increases, CPU performance improves continuously. However, power and thermal problems in the CPU become more serious as the clock frequency increases. For this reason, utilizing the GPU to reduce the workload of the CPU becomes one of the most popular methods in recent high-performance computer systems. The GPU is a specialized processor originally designed for graphics processing. Recently, the technologies such as CUDA which utilize the GPU resources more easily become popular, leading to the improved performance of the computer system by utilizing the CPU and GPU simultaneously in executing various kinds of applications. In this work, we analyze the temperature and the energy efficiency of the computer system where the CPU and the GPU are utilized simultaneously, to figure out the possible problems in upcoming high-performance computer systems. According to our experimentation results, the temperature of both CPU and GPU increase when the application is executed on the GPU. When the application is executed on the CPU, CPU temperature increases whereas GPU temperature remains unchanged. The computer system shows better energy efficiency by utilizing the GPU compared to the CPU, because the throughput of the GPU is much higher than that of the CPU. However, the temperature of the system tends to be increased more easily when the application is executed on the GPU, because the GPU consumes more power than the CPU.

Economic Feasibility Analysis of Building Seonam Biogas Combined Heat and Power Plant (서남 바이오가스 열병합발전 시설 건립의 경제적 타당성 분석)

  • Recently, technology for energy recovery from waste has been increasing interest globally including the Korea. In Korea, we have interested in using biogas generated from the sewage treatment process. As one alternative, there are operating biogas combined heat and power plant. The generation amount of the Sewage Sludge are expected to grow in the future. For this reason, total processing cost of Sewage Sludge will increase. To solve this problem, it seems will be invested with the expansion of facilities that use biogas as energy. Therefore, quantitative information on such facilities is required. Thus, this study attempts to economic feasibility analysis for Seonam Biogas Combined Heat and Power Plant. Meanwhile, as the benefit items for economic feasibility analysis consider electricity supply benefit except for heat supply benefit. The average prices of electricity use were residence 123.69, commercial 130.46, and industry 102.59 won per kWh for the year 2015, In addition, the economic benefit are calculated to be residence 310.21, commercial 378.49, and industry 222.87 won per kWh. The results of economic feasibility analysis is NPV 72.18 billion won, B/C 1.90, IRR 37%, shows that economic validity of Seonam Biogas Combined Heat and Power Plant.

A Comparative Study on the Korean and U,5, Media's Coverage of the No Gun Ri Massacre (한.미 언론의 노근리사건 보도 비교 연구: 취재원 사용의 차이와 그 요인을 중심으로)

  • This study compares the Korean and U.S. media's coverage of the No Gun Ri massacre, analyzing their usages of sources in the stories and explaining by the perspective of media sociology why they differed in them. For the comparison with the AP's report, we selected only the reports of the Korean media which dealt with the incident itself. It was found that most of the Korean media utilized a very small number of sources, and that they relied on the victims alone. In contrast, the AP's sources were much more numerous drawn from both the victims and offenders. As a result, the Korean media failed to ensure the 'diversity of sources' and to illuminate the whole picture of the incident, although they had started to report it far earlier than the AP. From the depth interviews with the reporters, through the framework of media sociology, it was found first at the personal level, that the difference was brought about by the divergent news evaluation. It seemed that the Korean journalists regarded the incident with relatively lower news value than their U.S. counterparts. Next, at the intra-organizational level, it was conceded, neither did the Korean new media have so flexible news collecting system, nor so murk man-power and resource as the AP, which were required for the coverage of such an incident. The Korean media had not established the convention to utilize various sources with conflicting interests. Last, at the extra-organizational level, the Korean news media's coverage was still influenced by the self-censorship mechanism due to the ideologies of 'pro-Americanism' and 'anti-communism', even though the democratization of Korean society itself enabled the sensitive incident to be dealt with eventually by the media.

Algorithms of the VLSI Layout Migration Software (반도체 자동 이식 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Algorithms from the research of the layout migration were proposed in the paper. These are automatic recognition algorithm for the VLSI devices from it, graph based construction algorithm to maintain the constraints, dependencies, and design rule between the devices, and high speed compaction algorithm to reduce size of the VLSI area and reuse the design with compacted size for the new technology. Also, this paper describes that why proposed algorithms are essential for the era of the SoC (System on a Chip), design reuse, and IP DB, which are the big concerns in these days. In addition to introduce our algorithms, the benchmark showed that our performance is superior by 27 times faster than that of the commercial one, and has better efficiency by 3 times in disk usage.
