A total of 465 questionnaires out of 500 were used as base data for this study. Methods: The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, ${\chi}^2-test$, and t-test using the SPSS Win program (version 21.0). Results: Regarding food safety-related dietary behaviors, average score was 3.65 points (out of 5), and 'put the food in a refrigerator or freezer immediately (4.07)' showed the highest score, whereas 'cool rapidly hot food prior to putting it in the refrigerator (3.08)' showed the lowest score. Regarding the awareness of country-of-origin labeling at restaurants, 67.5% of subjects were aware of it. With regard to dietary behavior of food safety, the high group showed a higher score than the low group (p < 0.001). Regarding reliability of the system, 4.9% of subjects indicated 'very reliable' and 45.4% 'somewhat reliable'. For perception of subject's country-of-origin labeling, the average score was 3.77 (out of 5). Regarding checking country-of-origin labeling at restaurants, 68.0% of subjects checked country-of-origin labeling, and the high group in the safety-related dietary behavior score ranking showed a higher rate (79.3%) than the low group (57.1%) (p < 0.001). With regard to importance by item, 'honest country-of-origin labeling of restaurants' showed the highest score at 4.27 (out of 5). Conclusion: It is necessary to provide continuing education for college students in order to enhance their perception of country-of-origin labeling at restaurants. Moreover, a systematic and appropriate support and control system by the government and local government needs to be developed in order to improve country-of-origin labeling at restaurants.

Data were collected from October to December, 2018 and a total of 159 male nursing students participated in this study. The results showed that the gender role conflict was 2.75±0.62, the military service planing was 4.99±1.30, and the major satisfaction was 3.90±0.58. Gender role conflict, military service planing and major satisfaction have no significant correlation. This is inconsistent with the preceding study and requires replication study. Also it is necessary to develop an arbitration program that can form positive relationships with girls in order to reduce gender role conflict among male nursing students.

  • This study examined the influence of self- efficacy for smoking cessation, depression, social support and nicotine dependency in the college male smoker. This survey design was adopted for 149 male college students in Gyeongbuk. Data were gathered from September 7 to 18, 2016. Data was analyzed for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. There was a significant positive correlation between depression and nicotine dependency. There was a significant negative correlation between self-efficacy for smoking cessation and nicotine dependency and between social support and nicotine dependency. The significant factors influencing nicotine dependency were self-efficacy for smoking cessation and depression. This model explained 34% of variance in nicotine dependency. The results suggest that an intervention program is needed to reduce the depression and to increase the ability of self-efficacy for smoking cessation in the college male smoker.

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the sodium and potassium intakes of university students in Korea and to evaluate the relationship between blood pressure and related variables. Two hundred and eighty five subjects were selected from among healthy university students aged 17 to 28. The urinary (sodium, potassium urea nitrogen and creatinine) excretions in 24 hrs. were evaluated from the analysis of urine samples gathered for 12hrs. At the same time, dietary intakes of sodium and potassium were assessed by the modified convenient method with the same subjects. The results were as follows : 1) The urinary sodium excretions of male and female students in 24hrs. were estimated at 199.1mEq and 174.5mEq respectively. Daily sodium intakes by the questionnaire were calculated to be 218.5mEq for male students and 218.1mEq for female students. 2) The urinary potassium excretions in male and female students were 48.3mEq/24hr and 43.9mEq/24hr. respectively, and the potassium intakes 48.6mEq/24hr. and 47.4mEq/24h. each 3) No correlations were found between blood pressure and the urinary excretions of sodium potassium or urinary Na/K ratio in college students.

  • College students face serious difficulties while seeking jobs, leading to a high degree of stress, which is thought to affect their attitude towards smoking. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between hardiness, job-seeking stress, and the attitude towards smoking among students, and to further identify the factors influencing smoking attitude. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered to 145 students. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS program, t-test, ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Smokers constituted 22.1% of the sample. The study showed that smoking attitudes varied according to the smoking status (H=28.26, p<.001). The smoking attitude was seen to be desirable in the high group (t=-3.27, p=.001) and low job-seeking stress group (t=4.40, p<.001). There was a positive correlation between hardiness and smoking attitude (r=.18, p=.028). There was a negative correlation between job-seeking stress and smoking attitude (r=-.28, p=.001). Also, the factors affecting the smoking attitude were non-smoker respondent (β=.50, p<.001), job-seeking stress (β=-.23, p=.015), former smoker respondent (β=.22, p=.016) and the explanatory power was 24.3%. Therefore, school and health public center counseling and employment support programs need to help students manage and cope with stressful situations to change their attitude towards smoking in a desirable direction.

  • This study is investigated for angle of elbow joint influence on grasp strength, confirm change of grasp strength and brachioradialis thickness according to angle of elbow joint in standing. Thirty male and female university students, who participated with agreement in this study, using for electronic dynamometer and convertible ultrasound measure maximum grasp strength and brachioradialis thickness after elbow joint $0^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$ positioning in standing. In average grasp strength was strongest at elbow joint $0^{\circ}$, as the angle of elbow joint increased, was decreased grasp strength, no significant statistically(p<.05). In average brachioradialis thickness was lowest at elbow joint $0^{\circ}$, as the angle of elbow joint increased, was increased brachioradialis thickness, significant statistically(p<.05). These result may indicated that change of elbow joint angle not influence on grasp strength, but influence on brachioradialis thickness.
