From the soil samples at Seonginbong in Ulleung Island, Gyeongbuk, Korea, Punctoribates hexagonus Berlese, 1908 is found for the first time in Korea. A diagnostic description of this species with detailed illustration and data on its geographical distribution are presented.

In the course of the taxonomic study on onbatid mites from Korea, the author obtained one nau genus, 5 new species, 1 new subspecies, and 5 species unrecorded in Korea for th first time. They are Koreonbates foliatus gen. n, sp. n., Hermannio neotricha sp. n., Xyiobates geonjiensis sp. n., Defectamems sungohi sp. n., Protoripoda flagellato sp. n., Liocarus gommatus coreanus ssp. n., Liocarus polychoihomus Wen, 1991, Tectodamoeus armatus Aok, 1984, T striatus Enami et Aoki, 1988. Oripoda trilabiata Hammer, 1961, and Dometorino tuberculata Aoki, 1984. And keys to the species and subspec~es of genera Liacorus, Defectamems, and Protoripoda are present All the specimens are deposited at the Lab of Plant Protection, Coli, ot Agr, Won Kwang Univ., hi, Korea. In the course of taxonomical studies of oribatid mites, two genera, Acrotocepheus Aoki, 1965 and Humerobates Sellnick, 1928, and their species, A. gracilis Aoki, 1965 and H. flechtmanni Perez-Inigo ＆ Perez-Inigo Jr, 1993, are recorded for the first time in Korea.

The present work was dealt with the twelve species of orbatid mites from leaves, stems and stubbles of rice( Oryza sativa L). Among them six species, that is, Protoribates agricola, Scheloribates decarinatus, Scheloribates oryzae, Sacculozets filosus, Punctoribates manzanoensis, and Paralamellobates ceylanica are new ones in Korea. The other species are Epilohmannia palida pacifica, Podorbates cuspidatus, Tricogaulumna nipponica, Peloribate sp., Scheloribates sp., Galumna sp.

The present work describes four new species of oribatid mites, which were collected from Sangumburi in Chejudo, Korea. They were Brasilobates sangumburiensis sp. nov., Xenillus multisetosus sp. nov., Nippobodes tamlaensis sp. nov., and Nippobodes chejuensis sp. nov.

This study is canled for tanonomical investigation of Olibatid mites on landscape plan& As the results, thirteen species of Oribatid mites on the plants are described for the first time from Korea. but the harmfulness caused by the mites is not yet proved The mites are Tuberemoeus singularis Sellnick, Zygoribatulo elongoto Hammer. Scahperemaeus yamashitoi Aoki, Oribatula sakamori Aoki, Camis~a segnis (Hemann), Scheloribates Jatipes (Koch), Oppiella nova (Oudemans), Lauroppia neerlondica (Oudemans), Hemileius sp.. Oripodo sp., Twncopes sp.. and Tectocehpeus sp. etc. Among them, Tuberemaeus singularis and Zygoribotulo elongatn are recorded from Korea for the first time And three lalvae are found out at intestine of one specimen of Tuberemoeus singularrs Sellnick which is collected on Cryptomerio japonica D, in Chep (Seoguipo). Therefore, thls mite seems to be ovoviviparous.

An oribatid mite, Incabates barbatus sp. nov. in the family Haplozetidae is described herein from Korea. This new species is very similar to 1. major reported in Japan. However, prodorsal setae (ro & la) and head of sensillus are smooth in 1. major while barbs are found on the outer margin in the middle of rostral seta (ro) and lamellar seta (la) in addition to the presence of spinulae making the surface of head of sensillus rough in the new species. There are altogether 9 species described in the genus Incubates at present including the new species reported herein and keys to these 9 species are presented.
