Analysis of Heating and Cooling Energy Consumption in Rental and Sales Apartments in Busan (부산시 임대아파트 및 분양아파트의 냉난방에너지 소비량 분석)

  • This study analyzed the energy consumption differences between rental and owner owned (purchased) apartments in Busan, South Korea during the cooling and heating seasons. Analysis revealed that the average electricity consumed for cooling was 2.5 kWh/m2·yr for rental apartments and 2.3 kWh/m2·yr for purchased apartments, a difference of 0.2 kWh/m2·yr. The average electrical heating energy consumption was 3.3 kWh/m2·yr for rental apartments and 2.2 kWh/m2·yr for purchased apartments, a difference of 1.1 kWh/m2·yr. It was estimated that the use of electric blankets and heaters was higher in rental apartments than purchased apartments resulting in higher electrical heating energy consumption. The average gas heating energy consumption was 7.0 kWh/m2·month for rental apartments and 6.8 kWh/m2·month for purchased apartments. When electricity and gas usage was combined for heating, the average total heating energy consumption was 10.3 kWh/m2·month for rental apartments and 9.0 kWh/m2·month for purchased apartments. This indicates that rental apartments consume 1.3 kWh/m2·month more energy than purchased apartments during heating season. Overall, rental apartments consume more energy than purchased apartments during both the cooling and heating seasons.

System Implementation for Fair Automatic Heating Operation Based on Spatial Distributing and Zonal Calorie Measuring (공간분활 및 영역열량측정에 의한 공평 자동난방운영시스템 구현)

  • This paper describes the system implementation of the heating operation based on spatial distributing and zonal calorie measuring and analyzing of houses to calculate the fair amount of the heating meterage automatically. The heating space is distributed into 4 zones, which the flow rate and calories are checked by one meter respectively. The system is composed of a heating sources, adjuster of thermostat, valve controller, PC converter and total monitering. The returning temperature in the spatial zones is measured for the heating calorie to calculate the zonal calories according to the rooms temperature. The proposed system results in error by 1% or less in comparing with the dedicated experimental equipment, and reduces energy cost by 7% from conventional system. The fair checking system will be enhanced with building energy management system in the future.

A Measurement and an Analysis of Heating and DHW Energy Consumption in Apartment Buildings with individual Heating Systems (개별난방 공동주택의 난방 및 급탕 에너지사용량 계측 및 특성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest specific evaluation data for heating and DHW energy consumption characteristics through analyzing energy consumption measurement data of gas boiler in Apartment Buildings with individual heating systems. To do this, it was measured both gas flow and electricity for heating and DHW respectively, and then it was analyzed not only characteristics according to energy sources; gas and electricity, but also the effect of various factors on heating and DHW energy consumption. The result of this study were as follows. It was developed the electric energy estimation model of a gas boiler through analysis on patterns by energy sources. And the effective factors for heating and DHW energy consumption were demonstrated as follows: the area for exclusive use, the number of auxiliary heating equipments, the number of occupants, and the number of sanitary fixtures.

Effect of Measuring Period on Predicting the Annual Heating Energy Consumption for Building (연간 건물난방 에너지사용량의 예측에 미치는 측정기간의 영향)

  • This study examined the temperature-dependent regression model of energy consumption based on various measuring period. The methodology employed was to construct temperature-dependent linear regression model of daily energy consumption from one day to three months data-sets and to compare the annual heating energy consumption predicted by these models with actual annual heating energy consumption. Heating energy consumption from a building in Daejon was examined experimentally. From the results, predicted value based on one day experimental data can have error over 100%. But predicted value based on one week experimental data showed error over 30%. And predicted value based on over three months experimental data provides accurate prediction within 6% but it will be required very expensive.

  • 시설원예에서 난방장치를 사용하는 겨울철 재배 농산물의 생산비 중 난방 연료비가 30%~37% 정도를 차지하여 비중이 가장 높다. 따라서 시설원예 농가에서는 난방비를 절감하는 것이 농가소득과 직결되므로, 난방장치의 선정이 대단히 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 겨울철 재배 농산물의 생산비 중 30%-37% 정도를 차지하는 연료비를 절감하기 위해 기존의 온풍난방기와 다른 새로운 방식의 열교환기와 원심식 송풍블로워를 사용하는 블로워 송풍방식의 온풍난방기를 개발하고 개발된 온풍난방기의 가동으로 인한 난방 연료비 절감효과와 온실내의 균일한 온도분포를 획득하기 위해 8연동 비닐온실에서의 시험을 실시하였으며 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 가. 저 정압용의 전동기 축직결식 송풍팬을 대신하여 고 정압용의 블로워 송풍팬을 장착하고 열교환 면적을 크게 한 지그재그식 환류의 열교환실을 채용한 온풍난방기를 개발하였다. 나. 공시한 온실에서 기존 온풍난방기의 2일 가동시 DH당 연료 사용량이 평균 1.082$\ell$/$^{\circ}C$.hr 이며, 블로워 송풍방식 온풍난방기의 3일 가동시 DH당 연료 사용량은 평균 0.854$\ell$/$^{\circ}C$.hr로써 21%의 난방 연료비 절감효과가 나타났다. 다. 블로워 송풍방식 온풍난방기는 동일시간대 3$^{\circ}C$의 경시적 온도변화가 발생하였고, 기존의 은풍난방기의 동일시간대 온도변화는 최대 6.1$^{\circ}C$로 나타나 개발된 블로워 송풍방식 온풍난방기가 동일시간대 온실내의 온도변화를 크게 줄일 수 있었고 온도분포를 비교적 균일하게 하는 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.도 33$^{\circ}C$를 기준으로 한 열 회수 시간은 유입공기 온도가 52$^{\circ}C$ 및 64$^{\circ}C$ 일 각각 120분 및 140분으로 나타났다. (3) 제 3종 자갈: 축열조로 공급되는 공기의 온도가 52$^{\circ}C$와 64$^{\circ}C$ 일 때, 축열조 출구의 공기온도가 33$^{\circ}C$에 도달될 때까지 가열되는데 소요된 시간은 가열공기의 온도가 52$^{\circ}C$와 64$^{\circ}C$ 일 때 각각 180분과 150분이었고, 방열에 소요된 시간은 각각 240분 및 270분으로 나타났다. 방열과정 동안 축열조 출구의 최고 공기온도는 가열 공급공기의 온도가 52$^{\circ}C$$65^{\circ}C$일 때 각각 35.5$^{\circ}C$ 및 39.5$^{\circ}C$였다. 출구 공기온도 33$^{\circ}C$이상을 기준으로 한 에너지 회수시간은 유입공기 온도가 52$^{\circ}C$ 및 64$^{\circ}C$일 때 각각 140분 및 160분으로 나타났다. 이와 같이 자갈이 작을수록 축열조 출구의 공기온도가 기준온도 33$^{\circ}C$에 도달되는 시간이 길었으며, 이것은 축열조내의 공극이 작고 비중량이 커 자갈층을 가열시키는 축열시간이 길어지기 때문인 것으로 사료된다. 또한 작은 자갈일수록 방열시간도 다소 길어져 회수 가능 열에너지가 큰 것으로 나타났다

Establishing a Energy Utilization Database for Energy Performance Evaluation of Multi-Family Housing using District Heating (지역난방 공동주택의 에너지 성능 평가를 위한 공동주택 단지별 에너지사용량 Database 구축)

  • In order to evaluate the energy performance of buildings, it is important to determine reliable information of energy utilization during operating phase. It is also required to establish the database which have the amounts of population deducted by objective filtering and analysis. In this study, all energy sources were applied to evaluate synthetically the energy performance of Multi-Family Housings(MFH) using district heating and the amounts of population were obtained sufficiently through data searching in Seoul and neighbor cities. Finally the database of source energy utilization and $CO_2$ emission in 325 MFH complexes were established through cross validation between data sources and statistical analysis. Additionally, further ideas have been proposed to improve existing MFH Management Information System.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the energy consumption status for various building types in Taejon. 35 sample buildings were classified into 8 building types, i.e., sports center & swimming pools, hotels, telecommunication exchange service facility, hospitals, research laboratories, department stores, exhibition galleries, universities. According to analyses, energy consumption patterns varies significantly for each building type. Sports centers consumes highest rate(689 $Mcal/sqm{\cdot}yr$) and universities lowest rate(86 $Mcal/sqm{\cdot}yr$) among selected building types.

  • 세계기후협약으로 인하여 우리나라는 화석연료 사용량을 최소한 2010년까지 2000년 수준으로 감축시켜야할 처지에 놓여 있다. 따라서 지구 온난화의 주 요인이 되고 있는 이산화탄소 배출량을 2010년 예상배출량의 21%정도를 감축해야 하며, 경제활동은 1/4이상이 축소되는 영향을 받게 된다(차재호, 1998). 따라서 현재의 화석에너지에 의존하는 난방법은 자연에너지 또는 전기에너지 등으로 대부분이 전환되어야 할 것으로 전망하고 있다 그러나 농업에 이용되고 있는 난방에너지는 화석에너지에 집중되어 있으며, 온실, 축사, 버섯재배사 등에서 겨울철 난방에 소요되는 에너지 비용은 총경영비의 10-40%를 차지하고 있다.   • In order to save the energy in apartment houses, it is essential that the energy amount consumed in heating per household should be surveyed and analyzed according to heating method, which can be classified into unit, central and district methods. As a basis, we selected the household with nominal area of 32 py. because it accounts for the most percentage in Korea. It is estimated that the gas amount for cooking is 90 ㎥ and the energy amount for hot water supply is 11.41 GJ for a year, which is necessary to calculate the heating energy. Through the survey of actual energy consumption in Seoul and Gyeonggi, the energy amount used in heating can be obtained according to the heating type: 26.02 GJ/year for the unit heating, 28.09 GJ/year for the central heating and 40.61 GJ/year for the district heating.
