부양형 탄소나노튜브 나노시트를 이용한 pH센서의 제작과 보정 (Fabrication and Calibration of pH Sensor Using Suspended CNT Nanosheet)

  • In this research, the pH sensor was developed using CNT nanosheet with Nafion coating for the advanced medical sensor such as a blood gas analyzer. The CNT nanosheet was formed by dielectrophoresis and water-meniscus between cantilever-type electrodes. Then, the process of the heat annealing and the Nafion coating was conducted for reducing contact resistance and giving proton selectivity respectively. We measured the response of the pH sensor as the electrolyte-gated CNT-nanosheet field effect transistor. The sensor showed a linear current ratio in a similar range of the normal blood pH. A calibration method for decreasing of the response variation among sensors has also been introduced. Coefficient of variance of the pH sensor was decreased by applying the calibration method. A linear relation between the calibrated response of the sensors and pH variance was also obtained. Finally, the pH sensor with a high resolution was fabricated and we verify the feasibility of the sensor by applying the calibration method.

선택적 가스 센서를 위한 Au 나노입자가 장식된 TiO2 나노튜브의 합성 (Synthesis of Au-Decorated TiO2 Nanotubes on Patterned Substrates for Selective Gas Sensor)

  • Well-ordered $TiO_2$ nanotubes with Au nanoparticles are a desirable configuration to enhance the gas sensing properties such as response and selectivity due to their high surface area to volume ratio and catalytic effect of Au nanoparticles. We have synthesized the well-ordered $TiO_2$ nanotubes directly on a Pt IDEs patterned $SiO_2/Si$ substrate and then decorated Au nanoparticles on inner and outer surface of $TiO_2$ nanotubes using electrodeposition method. The Au-decorated $TiO_2$ nanotubes shows ultrahigh response to $C2_H_5OH$ and the highest increasing ratio to $H_2$ compared with other gases.

단겹 탄소나노튜브 트랜지스터의 나노습도센서 응용가능성 연구 (Possible application of single-walled carbon nanotube transistors for humidity sensor)

  • The influence of water molecule on the electrical properties of single-walled carbon nanotube field effect transistors (SWNT-FETs) was reported. Conductance suppression was observed with the increase of the humidity. This can be explained by doping of the SWNT-FETs, which has p-type semiconductor characteristic, with the water molecules acting as an electron donor. However, after 65 % of humidity, conductance of the SWNT-FETs started to increase again, due to the opening of electron channels. Upon annealing at $400^{\circ}C$ in Ar atmosphere, conductance increases more than 500 %, and the threshold voltage shifts toward further positive gate voltages. The results of this experiment support possible application of single-walled carbon nanotubes for humidity sensing material.
