An Investigation on the Odor Characteristics of Livestock Facilities (축산시설에서 발생되는 악취의 축종별 특성에 대한 설문조사)

  • At Recent the number of livestock is rapidly increased and the scale of farm has changed to large operations in Korea. So the odors from livestock feeding operations have increased and become major environmental problem. The odor emission are dependent on the types of manure management system and the meteorological factors. This report presents the results of a questionnaire on the odor characteristics from livestock facilities for the beef, dairy, swine and poultry. It is founded that the impact by odors from the facilities for swine and poultry is higher than cow and dairy, and the odor intensity at morning is higher than other times.

  • For sound absorption and sound insulation in automobile industry, the sound absorption materials based on meltblown nonwovens were prepared by SMS (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond) technique. And the sound absorption coefficient (${\alpha}$) of the meltblown nonwoven, produced with isotatic-polypropylene(PP), was examined for the various processing conditions such as die-to-collector distance(DCD), nonwoven weight(GSM), and air suction conditions. The meltblown nonwoven for sound absorption materials was composed of bulky microfiber web, increasing with increases in weight and DCD. The sound absorption coefficient(${\alpha}$) was excellent as a sound absorption materials of PAD type composed of SMS(spunbond-meltblownspunbond) nonwovens.

  • 유비쿼터스 시대의 모바일 전력원으로서 가장 유용한 리튬이차전지의 충전방식은 1991년 리튬이온전지의 상용화 이후 정전류-정전압 방식의 충전법이 고수되어 왔다. 그러나 압전, 열전 등 신재생에너지에 의한 에너지 하베스팅으로 생성되는 전력의 성질이 전압과 전류의 범위가 매우 다양하므로 효율적으로 저장할 수 있는 에너지 매니지먼트 체계가 필요하다. 이에 대한 기반연구로서 리튬이차전지의 고효율 충전을 위한 다양한 방식이 고려되어 왔으며, 본 동향분석서에서는 이러한 충전방식에 따라 리튬이차전지 내부 소재가 받는 영향과 여러 충전방식의 장단점을 분석하고, 최적 충전방식의 기준을 정리한다.

  • In recent years spectral methods have been found to be a powerful tool for the numerical solution of hynamic differential equations. The main attraction of spectral method is accuracy even though it is generally difficult to implement and solve the complex problems using spectral method. We introduced diffusion equations describing the state of air pollution and solved by pseutospectral method in dimensionless form. The results were compared with both those of other numerical methods and analytical solutions. Comparing with finite difference method and finite element method, spectral method shows the highest accuracy for one dimension problem in this study. Also, the results of two dimensional diffusion problems show good agreement with analytical solutions.

  • The present study investigated the associations between CT measures and obstetric complications and family history of major mental illnesses. We had the hypothesis of diosthesis-stress model in the etiology of schizophrenia. We had the following findings. 1) Family history of major mental illnesses is inversely related to obstetric complications. 2) Prefrontal sulcal widening and family history of schizophrenia. are inversely related. 3) In female but not in male patients those with family history of schizophrenia tended to have less prefrontal sulcal widening and ventricular brain ratio. These results suggest that more genetic factors contribute to structural brain abnormalities in female than in male patients.

  • This study is to investigate the methodology and applicability on emission control by both MECHANICAL Model and Fugitive Dust Model (FDM) through the comparison of field measurement data and calculated data. Comparing to the method of AP-42 emission fector on the production of flying dust the MECHANICAL Model was proved to be more applicable to the calculation emission rate on the various dust emission conditions on a unpaved road. The seperate calculation on annual mean emission amount and a 24working hours amount was undertaken for the easy management of fugitive dust. Dust concentration predicted by FDM is similar with a measurement value.

Annual Trends of Air Pollution Emission from Construction and Agricultural Equipments (건설장비와 농기계에서 배출되는 연도별 대기오염 배출량 변화추세)

  • The annual air pollution emissions from construction and agricultural equipments were estimated from 1987 through 2000. The annual numbers and operation hours of 5 major construction equipments (Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Fork lift, Crane) and 3 major agricultural equipments (Power Tiller, Agricultural Tractor, Combine) were investigated for emission estimation. And monthly variation factors of operation hours of construction equipment were investigated too. The NO$_{x}$ emission from construction equipment have been gradually increased since 1987 to 1997, but sharply decreased as -45% in 1998 due to economic crisis in Korea. The NO$_{x}$ emission was estimated as 64,300 ton/year from construction equipment, and as 23,300 ton/year from agricultural equipment in 2000.000.

  • LED는 광학적 특성을 유지하기 위해서는 방열설계가 매우 중요한 문제로 요구된다. 대부분의 반도체 소자의 고장 원인은 85%정도가 열로 인한 것이며 고출력 LED의 인가된 에너지는 20%정도가 광으로 출력되며 나머지 80%정도가 열로 전환된다. 이러한 이유 때문에 LED소자의 신뢰성과 효율 향상을 위한 방열성능의 극대화가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 AI MCPCB 기판에 기반을 둔 COB Type의 고출력 LED모듈의 구조를 제안 하였으며, LED Chip과 금속base 사이의 절연층 유무의 관점에서의 비교 열 시뮬레이션을 통해 결과를 분석하여 고출력 COB LED모듈의 방열 특성을 최적화 하였다.

  • 본 연구는 RGB LED 패키지의 특성에 대한 전기적 분석을 통해 LED 조명 설계에 있어 보다 효율적인 설계를 구현하고자 하였으며 마이크로 컨트롤러를 이용한 구동회로 제어와 적외선 센서를 이용한 원격제어를 통해 폭넓은 색 조절을 위한 LED에 최적화 된 brightness 및 chroma 제어 기술을 실현하고자 설계 및 분석을 하였다. 그 결과 색온도에 대한 제어의 경우 총 12가지의 mode를 바탕으로 색상을 제어 하였으며 LED 패키지의 전류변화에 따른 광 출력을 고려하여 최적화 된 brightness 및 색온도에 대한 제어가 가능하였다.
