Investigation for glass warpage in the COG process (COG 압착 공정에서의 Glass 휨 연구)

  • We studied about new module technology to solve warpage problems that produce bending of cell in the LCD (Liquid crystal display). Characteristics of cell gap and glass bending of applying heat Panel's PAD part and cell at various temperature was investigated. When applies heat and compresses PAD party only in case of compressing COG(Chip on Glass), uniformity of cell gap that happen by glass bending by temperature of these compressing COG In the PAD party is decreased. However, in case of compress COG. glass bending of applying heat Panel's PAD part and cell at various temperature produced 20um. But, uniformity of cell gap was not decreased. Therefore, it is considered that applying heat Panel's PAD part and cell could decrease uniformity of cell gap and bending of glass.

  • The tilt angle generation of nematic liquid crystal(NLC) on the homeotropic polyimide(PI) surface by the new Ion beam alignment method is studied. The tilt angle of NLC on the homeotropic PI surface for all incident angle is about 38and this has a stabilization trend. And the good LC alignment of the NLC on the PI surface by ion beam exposure of 45Incident angle was observed. Also the tilt angle of NLC on the homeotropic PI surface by ion beam exposure of 45Incident angle had a tendency to decrease as ion beam energy density increase. So we had known that pretilit angle could be controlled from verticality to horizontality.

  • The present investigation was undertaken to find out the anticancer activity of monoterpene compounds. Monoterpenes showed generally the inhibitory effect on the proliferation o f L1210 cancer cells (cytotoxicity). Geraniol was found to exibit the most potent cytotoxic effect on L1210 cells with an IC50 values of $0.67{\mu}g/ml$. On the other hand, geraniol proved to be capable of stimulating the macrophage proliferation (135% of control). When the life prolonging activity of geraniol by daily oral administration of 0.1~10${\mu}g/10{\mu}l/20$ g body weight to Sarcoma 180 bearing ICR mouse was examined, there was also a significant elevation of survival (best result of 134% of control). The contradictory effects of geraniol on the proliferation of L1210 cells and macrophages proved to be accompanied by the coincident alterations of RNS (reactive nitrogen species) related enzymes activities such as inducible nitric oxide synthase (Inos) in macrophages and ROS (reactive oxygen species) related enzymes activities such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) in L1210 cells, respectively.

  • Angiosarcomas are rare tumors that are derived from vascular endothelial cells. They may occur in various sites, including the skin, breast, visceral organs and deep soft tissues. The pleura usually a metastatic site from angiosarcomas. However, thirty one cases of primary pleural angiosarcomas have been reported worldwide. Here, we report a 61-year-old man with a primary angiosarcoma of the pleura with a brief review of the literature.

A novel ECB mode using control of tilt angle for nematic liquid crystal on polyimide surface (폴리이미드 표면에서의 네마틱 액정의 틸트 제어를 이용한 새로운 ECB 모드)

  • In this paper, we have improved a novel (ECB) mode using tilt angle in the unique condition by hot-plate equipment. The new control of tilt angle for nematic liquid crystal (NLC) with negative and positive dielectric anisotropy on the rubbed homeotropic polyimide (PI) using baking method by Hot-plate equipment was investigated. LC tilt angle decreased with increasing baking temperature and time. Especially, the low LC tilt angle of positive type NLC $({\Delta}n>0)$ on the rubbed homeotropic PI surface by increasing temperature and time was measured. The EO characteristics of the novel ECB mode using control of tilt angle on the homeotropic surface than that of conventional OCB cell can be improved. We suggest that the developed the Novel ECB cell using control of tilt angle on the homeotropic surface is a promising technique for the achievement of a fast response time and a high contrast ratio.

  • We studied the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) aligning capabilities using the new alignment material of a SiO thin film. The homogenous alignment can be obtain어 using ion beam (IB) exposure on the SIO thin film, when positive type NLC ($Delta\varepsilon$>0) was injected However, the homeotropic alignment can be obtained using ion beam (IB) exposure on the SiO thin film, when negative type NLC ($\Delta\varepsilon$>0) was injected The LC aligning ability on the SiO thin film depends on the dielectric anisotropy type of LC. It will be discussed.

  • It is widely investigated to liquid crystal (LC) alignment using non-contact alignment method such as ion-beam (IB) irradiation, UV alignment, and oblique deposition. Because conventional rubbing method has some drawbacks. These include defects from dust and electrostatic charges and rubbing scratch during rubbing process. In addition, rubbing method needs additional process to remove these defects. Therefore rubbing-free methods like ion-beam irradiation are strongly required. We studied LC alignment effect on poly imide surface by IB irradiation and electro-optical (EO) characteristics of twisted nematic liquid crystal display (TN-LCD). In this experiment, a good uniform alignment of the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) with the ion-beam exposure on the polyimide (PI) (SE-150 from Nissan Chemical) surface was observed. We also achieved low pretilt angle as a function of ion-beam irradiation intensity. In addition, it can be obtained the good EO properties of the IB-aligned TN-LCD on PI surface. Some other experiments results and discussion will be included in the poster.

  • In this paper, concerning the various advertising and policy advertising of the election with respect to whether to deliver a message to a large number of people, we design and implement an automative system what enables sending the text messages directly from the server to the client and also fast feedback is enabled by utilizing a number of operational programs to connect to the server. Therefore, we design and implement the automative communication system which enables delivering message to each user mobile terminal from a plurality of relay mobile terminals by utilizing the mobile instant messenger, not to deliver a message from the server to the mobile instant messenger user directly. In result of comparative analysis on the number of times of data transmission, this automative communication system utilizing mobile instant messenger shows the result that it enables transmitting five times per minute as it can copy and paste in the automation system regardless of the size of the data loading, otherwise in case of transmitting manually it show the result that the number of times of data transmission is reduced if the size of the data is larger.

  • In the fully developed pipe flow, when jet is injected in cross to the flow there are complex transition flows caused by interaction of the cross flow and jet. These interactions are studied by means of the flow visualization methods and frequency analysis using a hot-wire anemometer. The velocity range of cross flow of the pipe is 0.3 m/s ~ 1.2 m/s and the corresponding Reynolds number, R$\sub$p/, based on the pipe diameter is 2.25 * 10$\^$3/ ~ 9.02 * 10$\^$3/. The velocity ratio (R), jet velocity/cross flow velocity, is chosen from 2 to 10. A circular cylinder is placed in the pipe instead of jet to observe the vortex shedding from the solid body. To compare the jet and circular cylinder flow, the vortical structure is analyzed in both cases and the structure of vortices and the origin of its formation are investigated, especially. The vortex shedding of the dominant coherent structure is compared between the jet flow and the circular cylinder flow. In the case of the jet flow, the Strouhal numbers are different depending on the existence of the upright vortex as well as the velocity ratio (R).

  • Various vortical structures are investigated by using three kinds of flow visualization methods in branch pipe flows. There are two typical flow patterns when a jet from the branch pipe with various angles is injected to the main pipe cross flow. The velocity range of cross flow of the main pipe is 0.2 m/s ~ 1.2 m/s and the corresponding Reynolds number, R$_{p}$ is of the range 1.5 * 10$^{3}$ ~ 9.02 * 10$^{3}$. The velocity ratio(R), jet velocity/cross flow velocity, is chosen from 1.3 to 4. The subsequent behavior and development of the ring vortices which are created at the jet boundary mainly depend on the velocity ratio. An empirical relation for the shedding frequency of the ring vortices is derived. It is also found that there are two different vortex shedding mechanism in the mixing of two fluid streams.s.
