An Investigation of the functioning and Side Effects of Linear Shaped Charges (선형 성형폭약의 기능적 측면에 대한 고찰)

  • 일반적 의미의 성형폭약이라 함은 폭약 중에 빈공간이 존재하여 표면쪽으로 개방되어 있는 한덩이의 고폭약을 말한다. 이런 이유로 절단 단면의 형상은 주로 V 자형을 이루고 있으며 보통 V자의 뽀족한 부분이 기폭부분이 된다. 성형폭약은 그 생김새를 기준으로 크게 2가지로 나눌 수가 있는데 원뿔형과 선형이 그것이다. 원뿔형 성형폭약은 그 초기 발전단계부터 군용 대장갑용으로 명성을 떨쳤으며 현재에도 많은 연구가 진행되고 있는 상태이다. 이에 비해 선형 성형폭약은 철구조물 해체나 여러 용도의 민간/상업용 절단도구로 많이 쓰이고 있는데 두 번의 세계전쟁을 치루며 엄청난 규모의 물질적 인적 지원을 바탕으로 발전한 원뿔형 성형폭약에 비해서 턱없이 연구실적이 부족한 상태이다. 이 논문에서는 일반적인 선형 성형폭약의 관통력에 대한 연구가 아닌 기능적 측면에 대한 연구결과를 서술하며, 기능적 측면상 중요한 몇 개의 항목에 대한 수량화, 정의 및 연구가 이루어진다. 그 항목으로는 발전거리(run up distance), 이격거리(stand off distance), 기폭위치에 따른 절단모양, 파편 분간 형상 등이 있으며 각 항목에 대한 하류 항목들은 본문에서 다루어진다. 모든 실험은 University of Missouri-Rolla, Rock Mechanics and Explosives Research Center 에서 이루어 졌으며 대부분의 실험은 500grain/ft 선형성형폭약을 사용하여, 기폭 후 철제목표물을 관통한 형상 및 관통 단면을 관찰하는 형식으로 이루어졌다.

A Study on the Impact Sensing Device for Improving the Firing Function Reliability of ESAF (ESAF의 기폭 신뢰성 향상을 위한 충격감지장치 연구)

  • In this paper, a novel impact sensing device for an ESAF(Electronic Safe and Arming Fuze) is presented. An impact sensing device is mounted in front of a weapon, and it detects an impact when it crashes against a target. There are two main design requirements to enhance the firing functional reliability of the ESAF; an operational reliability and a reduced latency, which is a delay time needed for sensing the impact. The design method of the contact-type impact sensing device, which employs an FPCB(Flexible Printed Circuit Board) so it can be used other weapons, is proposed. The tests demonstrated that the design described in this work show a reduced delay time with ensuring the operational reliability.

A Design of Fire-Command Synchronous Satellite Pyrotechnic Circuit (점화 명령에 동조된 인공위성 파이로테크닉 회로 설계)

  • The satellite includes many release mechanisms such as solar array deployment, antenna deployment, cover to protect contamination in scientific equipment, pyro value of the propulsion subsytem, and bypass device in Li-Ion cell module. A drive the initiators is a critical to the successful mission because the initiators of release mechanism driving by the pyrotechnic circuit is operated in single short. The pyrotechnic circuit has to provide switching network for safety. A typical switching network has defect consisting of high current rating fire switch to handle switching transient current during fire the initiator. The pyrotechnic circuit is required some form of power conditioning to reduce the peak power demanded from the bus if the initiators are to be fired from the main bus. This paper design a pyrotechnic circuit synchronized to the fire-command to activate the fire switch to overcome use high current rating fire switch to handle switching transient current during fire the initiator. The pyrotechnic circuit provides a current limited widow pulse for fire current synchronized to the fire-command to insure that fire switch will only carry the current but never switch it. The current limited widow pulse for fire current can be possible to use low current rating and light mass switch in switching network. The current limit function in the pyrotechnic circuit reduces supply voltage to initiator and provides the effect of power conditioning function to reduce peak bus power. The pyrotechnic circuit to apply satellite development on geostationary orbit is verified the function by test in development model.

  • This study analyzes the animal symbolism shown in the novella by Hyoseok Lee and seeks to shed light on the consciousness of the author expressed through such symbolism. Lee used animal symbolism since 1933 which was a literary turning point for him. Animal symbolism in his novels are more than an analogical theme but is used as a core meaning and image. This has a clear intention of the author underneath. Novella which is seen as the starting point of pure literature for Lee, uses the animal pig as a key symbol. The pig serves as a symbol of the capital for poor farmers, while also serving as an amplifier for the desires of the protagonist. The death of the pig that appears at the closing of the novella stands for the tragic reality of the farmers of the time who could not seek growth in their capital or realization of their desires. As such, has characteristics of pure literature but also represents the consciousness of the author who brings attention to the tragic reality of farmers. That is, is a work that realized the unique writing style of Lee and his animal symbolism to bring to life a middle way appraoch to realism and romanticism.

Standardization of Identification-number for Processed Food in Food-traceability-system (가공식품에 대한 이력추적관리번호 부여체계의 표준화 방안)

  • Facing a number of global food-related accidents, the concept and system for food traceability have been designed and introduced in many countries to manage the food-safety risks. To connect and harmonize the various food traceability-information in food traceability system according to the food supply chain, the coding system of identification-number for food-traceability has to be standardized. The GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) barcode system which has been globally standardized and implemented, is reviewed with the mandatory food-labeling regulation in expiration date of processed foods. The integration of GTIN-13 bar-code system for food-traceability is a crucial factor to expand its function in the food-related industrial areas. In this literature, the standard coding system of identification-number for food-traceability is proposed with 20 digit coding number which is combined with GTIN-13 bar-code (13 digit), expiration date (6 digit), and additional classification code (1 digit). This proposed standard coding system for identification-number has a several advantages in application for prohibiting the sale of hazard goods, food-recall, and inquiring food traceability-information. And also, this proposed coding system could enhance the food traceability system by communicating and harmonizing the information with the national network such as UNI-PASS and electronic Tax-invoice system. For the global application, the identification-number for food-traceability needs to be cooperated with the upcoming global standards such as GTIN-128 bar-code and GS1 DataBar.

  • The present article focuses on the cultural arts, the role and functions of people as intermediate to carry out the revitalization of memory. Most of the basic cultural activities and events sparked from the cardinal point of the democratization of Gwangju and the interwoven relationships this created. In other words, the events leading to Gwangju democratization movement have derived from democratic culture and art and they contributed to change and influence South Korea's revolutionary movements. As far as clarifying the concept of culture is concerned, the idea of culture is too wide to encompass it so we aim to narrow it down to the special events of 5.18 democratization movements which launched the national transformation of the cultural stage and the development of democracy in South Korea. Through this, the movement of popular culture and popular arts fostered the revolution of society. Moreover, the value of the 5.18 movement for democratization stems from democracy, human rights, the universal value of peace and so many efforts were made by popular artists until it became upgraded as a national commemoration day. Raising the people's awareness that culture could change the course of history is still necessary so that popular art and culture play a central role in people's lives. In order to fulfill the people's inherent hope it is necessary to promote aesthetic values and a continuous revolution in societal practices.

Neuropeptides in Clinical Psychiatric Research : Endorphins and Cholecystokinins (정신질환에 있어서의 신경펩타이드 연구 - Endorphin과 cholecystokinin을 중심으로 -)

  • We provide the reader with a brief introduction to the neurobiology of neuropeptides. Several comprehensive reviews of the distribution and neurochemical, neurophysiological, neuropharmacological and behavioral effects of the major neuropeptides have recently appeared. In reviews of the large number of neuropeptides in brain and their occurance in brain regions thought to be involved in the pathogenesis of major psychiatric disorders, investigators have sought to determine whether alternations in neuropeptide systems are associated with schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, alcoholism and neurodegenerative disease. There is no longer any doubt that neuropeptide-containing neurons are altered in several neuropsychiatric disorders. One of the factors that has hindered neuropeptide research to a considerable extent is the lack of pharmacological agents that specifically alter the synaptic availability of neuropeptides. With the exception of naloxone and naltrexone, the opiate-receptor antagonists, there are few available neuropeptide- receptor antagonists. Two independent classes of neuropeptide-receptor antagonists has been expected to be clinically useful. Naltrexone, a potent ${\mu}$-receptor antagonist, has been used successfully to reduce the need for alcohol consumption. And cholecycstokinin antagonists are now in development as a new class of anxiolytics, which would be expected to be free from tolerance and physical dependence and lack of sedation. In this review, we deal with these two kinds of neuropeptide system, the opioid system and cholesystokinins in the brain. The role of opioid systems in the reinforcement after alcohol consumtion and that of cholesystokinins in the pathogenesis of anxiety will be discussed briefly. As we know, the future for neuropeptides in psychiatry remains bright indeed.
