The purpose of this study was to analyze the accessibility to dental facilities and the differences in chief complaints of new patients who visited Pusan National University Dental Hospital. We collected information from electronic medical records for 1,820 new patients. The accessibility was analyzed by measuring the distance from the patient's house to the dental facilities. The distance was categorized into 10 km sections, and the presence or absence of a local pediatric dental clinic within 10 km of the patient's house was also categorized. As the distance between the house and Pusan National University Dental Hospital increased, the proportion of patients who visited for dental caries decreased, and orthodontic treatment increased. Dental caries accounts for 27.9% of less than 10 km and 20.5% over 30 km. Orthodontic treatment accounts for 25.4% within 10 km and 27.3% more than 30 km away. The presence or absence of a local pediatric dental clinic within 10 km did not significantly affect the distribution of chief complaints. This study can be used as basic research data to establish effective treatment measures that can improve the physical and geographical accessibility of patients visiting pediatric dentistry.

This study aims to provide basic information necessary to find an efficient management plan for patients using auto insurance. The analysis was conducted on the five-year auto insurance medical expenses review data registered in the health care bigdata Hub from 2016 to 2020. As a result of the analysis, the number one composition ratio of auto insurance inpatient treatment expenses was treatment and surgery fees for Certified tertiary hospitals, hospitalization fees for general hospitals, hospitals and clinics, and treatment and surgery fees for oriental medical institutions and dental hospitals. outpatient treatment expenses was doctor's fee for medical institution, treatment and surgery fees for oriental medical institutions and dental hospitals. The ratio of medication, anesthesia, and special equipment significantly affected the cost of inpatient. And the ratio of physical therapy significantly affected the cost of outpatient.

A federal system speaks for a political system that the principle of the common sovereignty among the local governments is applied. The basic purpose of the system is to make institutional devices capable of striving for the mutual cooperation in a greater political unit, reflecting a minority race's right and demand by decentralizing a state authority into the individual region. The basic purpose for formation of a federal system is realized when a form for the supplement of political elite personnels has a autonomous nature by the subject of a federal structure. During from B.Yeltsin to V.Putin, a form for the supplement of political elite personnels into the local governments has changed by a political purpose of a central government, In company with this change, the character of federalism in Russia has been also changed. Accordingly, this study has treated a subject about how the political elite personnels of local assembly men, governors of a state, assemblymen of both Houses, and the president of Russia are suppled, and also how such a form for the supplement of political elite personnels has changed the character of federalism in Russia.

This case report details induction and maintenance of remission in a 34-year-old female patient with ulcerative colitis (UC) after Korean herbal medicine treatment. The patient diagnosed as UC after a series of examinations including endoscopy in a western medical hospital mainly presented bloody diarrhea and dyspepsia and symptoms were persistent even with medications. She was given individualized Korean herbal medicine prescriptions for 7 months and the symptoms were monitored during treatment and no adverse events were reported. After clinical remission, endoscopic remission was also confirmed by colonoscopy. Clinical remission was maintained for 30 months after treatment without Western medication for UC. This case report shows that Korean herbal medicine treatment may have the potential for complete remission of UC and further research is warranted.

2018년 7월 국회의원회관에서 백두산과학기지 구축 방안에 대한 포럼이 있었다. 포럼에서는 천문, 화산활동, 광물자원, 천연물에 대한 주제별 발표가 있었으며, 한국천문연구원은 백두산과학기지 내 천문대 구축에 대한 기초 계획을 소개하였다. 그리고 지난 11월 한국천문연구원에서는 백두산천문대 구축에 대한 포럼을 통해 광학, 전파, 태양 우주환경 그리고 전통천문 분야에 대한 연구 계획을 소개한 바 있다. 천국천문연구원은 지난 2015년부터 남북천문분야 교류를 통한 남북한 천문분야 공동 발전을 위해 노력하고 있다. 본 발표에서는 최근 백두산과학기지와 천문대 설립을 위한 현황과 천문 분야별 연구 방향에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 아울러, 백두산천문대 설립을 위한 최근의 활동과 앞으로의 계획에 대해서도 발표하고자 한다.

We apply a Bayesian estimation procedure to the analysis of roll call voting records on 2,389 bills processed during the 18th Korean National Assembly. The analysis of roll calls yields useful tools for to combining the measurement of legislative preference with the models of legislative behavior. The current Bayesian procedure is extremely exible, applicable to any legislative setting, irrespective of the extremism of the legislator's voting history or the number of roll calls available for analysis. It can be applied to any legislative settings, providing a useful solution to many statistical problems inherent in the analysis of roll call voting records. We rst estimate the ideal points of all members of the 18th National Assembly and their condence intervals. Subsequently, using the estimated ideal points, we examine the factional disparity within each major party using the estimated ideal points. Our results clearly suggest that there exists a meaningful ideological spectrum within each party. We also show how the Bayesian procedure can easily be extended to accommodate theoretically interesting theoretical models of legislative behavior. More specically, we demonstrate how the estimated posterior probabilities can be used for identifying pivotal legislators.

Background: In January 2018, revised elderly fixed outpatient copayment for the elderly were implemented. When people ages 65 years and older receive outpatient treatment at clinic-level medical institutions (clinic, dental clinic, Korean medicine clinic), with medical expenses exceeding 15,000 won but not exceeding 25,000 won, their copayment rates have decreased differentially from 30%. This study aimed to examine the changes of health utilization of elderly after revised elderly fixed outpatient copayment. Methods: We used Korea health panel data from 2016 to 2018. The time period is divided into before and after the revised elderly fixed outpatient copayment. We conducted Poisson segmented regression to estimate the changes in outpatient utilization and inpatient utilization and conducted segmented regression to estimate the changes in medical expenses. Results: Immediately after the revised policy, the number of clinic and Korean medicine outpatient visits of medical expenses under 15,000 won decreased. But the number of clinic outpatient visits in the range of 15,000 to 20,000 won and Korean medicine clinic in the range of 20,000 to 25,000 won increased. Copayment in outpatient temporarily decreased. The inpatient admission rates and total medical expenses temporarily decreased but increased again. Conclusion: We confirmed the temporary increase in outpatient utilization in the medical expense segment with reduced copayment rates. And a temporary decrease in medical expenses followed by an increase again. To reduce the burden of medical expense among elderly in the long run, efforts to establish chronic disease management policies aimed at preventing disease occurrence and deterioration in advance need to continue.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the current status of hospice palliative care facilities, and to identify problems and improve hospice palliative care in Korea. Methods: The questionnaire survey was implemented from October to December, 2007. It was consisted of general characteristics of organization, health manpower, facilities & equipments, service programs, and so on. Sixty two (79.5%) out of 78 hospice palliative care facilities returned the questionnaires. Results: They were 42 hospital-based hospice palliative care hospitals and 9 clinics, and most of them are located at central metropolitan areas (Seoul and Gyeonggi Province). more than 80% of hospitals met with the requirements (one doctor per 10 patients and one nurse per 1.5 patients), whereas 42.9% of clinics met the requirements. Approximately 22% of them met the requirement of sick room (4 patients for 1 room). Most of them provided various hospice palliative care programs. The proportion of giving regular education programs to hospice palliative care personnels were about half (41.9%). Thirty two (51.6%) facilities provided home visiting hospice palliative care service. Conclusion: There were lack of enough health manpower, rooms, and programmes and they varied among facilities. It is necessary to increase the number of hospice palliative care facilities with consideration of regional fair distribution and standardization of programmes.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is one of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) with unknown etiopathogenesis. This case report details remission of UC induced by Korean herbal medicine treatment. A 31-year-old male patient diagnosed as UC after a series of examinations including endoscopy and fecal calprotectin (FC) test. He had severe bloody diarrhea over 10-20 times a day despite taking 5-aminosalicylic acid and steroid. He was given individualized Korean herbal medicine Dowha-tang according to pattern identification. After taking Dowha-tang for 7 months, clinical remission was achieved. The symptoms disappeared and FC level went down to normal level. No adverse events were reported. This case report shows that Korean herbal medicine treatment may have the potential for clinical remission of UC. Further investigation is warranted.

This study will be used as basic data to hold clinical training effective by researching and analyzing frequency, satisfaction and stress for the clinical practice of dental hygiene course students. The survey was undergone from Feb. 1, 2014 to Mar. 31 for 219 dental hygiene course juniors who had experienced clinical training in 3 year colleges located in Daejeon and Chungcheong Province. From the study, general and university hospital holds the highest satisfaction in clinical practice and dental offices in acquiring skills. Also, a significant difference is shown between the frequency and satisfaction according to clinical training sheets. The highest degree of stress is shown in dental offices for 'toothbrushing training and dental health education' and in general and university hospital for 'patient counselling'. Therefore, consideration should be made to establish the direction of education, standard criteria and evaluation method for student clinical training to raise its effectiveness.
