Spark-based Network Log Analysis Aystem for Detecting Network Attack Pattern Using Snort (Snort를 이용한 비정형 네트워크 공격패턴 탐지를 수행하는 Spark 기반 네트워크 로그 분석 시스템)

  • Recently, network technology has been used in various fields due to development of network technology. However, there has been an increase in the number of attacks targeting public institutions and companies by exploiting the evolving network technology. Meanwhile, the existing network intrusion detection system takes much time to process logs as the amount of network log increases. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a Spark-based network log analysis system that detects unstructured network attack pattern. by using Snort. The proposed system extracts and analyzes the elements required for network attack pattern detection from large amount of network log data. For the analysis, we propose a rule to detect network attack patterns for Port Scanning, Host Scanning, DDoS, and worm activity, and can detect real attack pattern well by applying it to real log data. Finally, we show from our performance evaluation that the proposed Spark-based log analysis system is more than two times better on log data processing performance than the Hadoop-based system.

기업보안 강화를 위한 취약점 진단 통합관리 체계 구축

  • 기업활동에서 IT에 대한 의존도가 증가함에 따라 기업들은 다양한 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어 플랫폼에서 제공되는 서비스들을 운영하고 있다. 서비스들이 보급, 확대되는 과정에서 새로운 보안 취약점들이 나타나고, 이들 취약점을 악용한 기업정보의 유출 및 해킹 등 보안사고의 발생도 비례하여 증가하고 있다[1]. 특히 다양한 유형의 사업을 운영하는 지주회사 또는 대기업 그룹사의 경우, 사업영역별로 운영 중인 IT 인프라의 보안 취약점이 네트워크로 연결된 타 사업용 IT 인프라에 대한 사이버 침해의 통로로 악용될 가능성이 있다. 이 같은 문제의 해결을 위해 기업들은 사업영역 별로 보유한 IT 인프라의 보안 취약점 진단과 대응을 위한 솔루션들을 도입, 운영해 오고 있다. 하지만 기업의 보안 거버넌스 관점에서 보안 취약점 관리도 전사적인 보안 정책과의 연계 강화, 투자 중복의 방지, 효과적인 관리와 통제에 대한 필요성이 대두되기 시작했다. 보안 거버넌스 체계 강화에 대한 기업의 요구변화에 맞춰 보안 취약점의 통합관리를 지원하는 상용 솔루션들이 일부 출시되고 있으나 기업들이 기 운영하고 있는 개별 취약점 진단 솔루션과의 연동, 로그관리 및 기업이 요구하는 특화된 기능 구현 등의 어려움이 도입에 장애가 되고 있다. 따라서, 대기업을 중심으로 개별 보안 취약점 진단 솔루션들을 연동하여 기업보안 거버넌스를 효과적으로 지원할 수 있도록 취약점 관리업무 프로세스의 재설계와 함께 취약점 진단 통합관리 체계를 구축하고 있다[2][3][4]. 본고는 보안 취약점 관리업무의 문제점을 소개하고, 최근 대 기업을 중심으로 활발히 구축이 추진되고 있는 웹 기반의 취약 점 진단 통합관리 체계의 개념, 기능 및 운영 프로세스를 소개한다. 아울러, 기업 IT 인프라에 대한 보안 취약점 진단 데이터를 축적하여 기업 내부의 보안위험 요소를 사전예측하고, 정보보호의 투자 대비 효과(ROSI: Security Return on Investment)를 효과적으로 산정하는 인프라로서 활용 가치를 소개한다.

  • The globalizing economic processes based on knowledge-based economic systems have changed the environment of competition between corporations fundamentally. As a result, all corporations must carry out their own activities for innovation in order to strengthen their competitiveness continuously. However, it may be difficult for the companies to meet the demand of rapidly changing markets as well as technological changes by themselves. Therefore, most of companies intensify their interdependent collaboration with other corporations for carrying out innovative activities. This is a process of building innovation networks. Innovation networks can provide opportunities to learn latest technologies and at the same time reduce uncertainties for the future. In fact, innovation networks enable not only to provide information about technology, market etc. but also to create learning processes between innovative actors. Thus, innovation networks are the most significant factor to stimulate innovative activities as well as to generate the growth of companies. This paper argues about impacts of innovation networks on the result of innovative activities. Furthermore, this focuses on the analysis of characters of corporations as well as patterns between innovation networks and innovation results.

  • The value chain is analytically useful for the cultural industry that has the characteristics of both manufacture and service industry, as the focus of value chain analysis moves from manufacturing only to the other stages of activity involved in supplying goods and services to consumers. The aim of paper is to analyse the value chain of the cultural industry in Gyeongbuk, find out the strengths and weaknesses of it, and suggest the ways to enhance the innovation capabilities of cultural industry in Gyeongbuk. First, the firms in advertisement & marketing, and circulation & distribution have low percent in cultural industry and need the low level of human resource, but produce high value-added in value chain; so, we should facilitate the make-up of the firms in advertisement & marketing, and circulation & distribution. Second, we should strengthen inter-firm networks to facilitate the ex-change of the equipment, human resource, information and technology between them. Third, we should construct the system to development human resource with two levels and spread the open atmosphere of firms.

  • In the phono-sapiens era of the intelligence information society, most business activities are increasingly dependent on networks and information systems. SMEs, which occupy the majority of Korean companies, are increasingly possessing the value and technology of their information assets, and their ability to protect core technologies that are the driving force of corporate growth will be the most important competitiveness of enterprises. Accordingly, the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency(KISA) provides a foundation for minimizing the damage from cyber threats such as hacking and information leakage by evaluating the current information protection level of SMEs and enhancing information protection capability by supporting a high level of customized information protection consulting. In this study, we analyze the effectiveness of information protection based on the results of KISA SMEs consulting. In addition, by identifying problems and limitations derived from SMEs information protection consulting results, SMEs should propose measures to improve information security of SMEs that can manage information protection management system more efficiently and effectively.

  • Since the advent of the internet as representative of the development of information communication technology (ICT), information transfer forms have changed rapidly these days. In the new techno-economic paradigms, I would ultimately consider how spatial structures of a knowledge-based service industry have been altered dynamically. To delve into this background, this study conducts an empirical case study of the internet advertising industry, particularly, among the whole advertising industry. Therefore, the primary objective of this study is to identify dynamic characteristics of spatial networks among actors for knowledge creation in Korea's internet advertising industry. In addition, it also is to analyze the formative elements of spatial networks which would have an influence on constructing the space of new economic activities. There are multilateral approaches. This research is classified into types of actors such as inter-firm, intra-firm, and firm-customer, and categorized according to spatial ranges such as local, regional, global levels. In the meanwhile, formative factors of the spatial networks could draw a conclusion from two aspects: inter-firm networks in the process of business in the internet advertising industry, and individual networks in the nonoccupational aspect. Accordingly, the results of this study suggest that actors' networks of two perspectives would make mutually complementary relationships and create new relational spaces in the digital economy.

  • Corporate business clusters create a borderless business network through value chains and value creation activities. Clusters in the IT sector are crossing regional boundaries because of their rapid technological development and short product life cycle. To investigate this phenomenon, we examined the value activities of IT companies. As a result, the global expansion of the case companies was limited, but they had business clusters that exceeded the regional boundaries. However, because the order of business clusters is not advanced, value activities are focused on productivity rather than innovation. Given the rapidly evolving nature of IT, it is necessary to evolve into a business cluster that can create new value. Companies must design and implement value-creating processes to develop new technologies or enter new markets, which can lead to cluster growth.   • 최근 정보기술, 정보통신기술등의 발달로 기존의 상거래 방식과는 많이 다른 방식의 거래가 이루어지고 있다. Electronic Commerce의 활성화는 가상상점(Electronic Shopping Mall), 전자지불체계 (Electronic Payment System), Web EDI 등 인터넷을 기반으로 한 전자적 경제활동을 다양하게 하였다. 이러한 EC의 한 패러다임으로 이동 상거래 방식이 등장하게 되었다. 이것이 개방 네트워크와 공중망을 통하여 이용자의 위치, 시간과 관계없이 텍스트, 음성, 화상의 디지털 데이터를 이용하여 기업 또는 개인의 상거래 활동을 정의하는 전자상거래(Electronic Commerce) 방식 중의 하나인 모빌커머스(Mobile Commerce)이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 모빌커머스가 기존의 인터넷 비즈니스의 한 방향으로서 유, 무선 통신망을 이용한 자유스런 정보의 전달을 통한해 어떤 상거래를 구축하는 것이 성공할 수 있는 것인가 이해하고자 전자상거래에서의 모빌커머스 역할에 대해 연구하고자 한다.

  • 컴퓨터 기술의 발전과 네트워크의 급속한 확산으로 사회전반에 걸쳐 특허, 기업뿐 아니라 교육 현장의 효율화를 지원하기 위한 분야에서도 웹이 응용되고 있다. 교육 현장에서 작성되어지고 있는 문서 중 학습 지도안 작성은 교육 정보의 체계적인 제공이 미흡하고, 많은 시간과 노력이 요구되는 활동이므로 교수 개인이 모든 교수 활동에 필요한 지도안을 작성하는데는 어려움이 있다. 이를 위해, 웹에서 정보를 공유하여 문서의 재사용성을 높일 수 있는 시스템이 필요하게 되었다. 웹에서 표준화된 XML을 이용하여 문서의 생성과 검색, 그리고 재사용이 가능하도록 제공함으로써 교수자의 다양한 요구사항을 융통성 있게 수용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 학습지도안 시스템을 분석하여 공통DTD(Document Type Definition)를 생성하고 공통 DTD를 통해 표준화된 XML 문서를 제공한다. 좀더 효율적인 수업을 위해 학습지도안 작성이 용이하도록 학습지도안 작성용 에디터를 제공하며, 또한 XML DOM(Document Object Model)을 이용하여 검색기에서는 구조기반, 패싯, 키워드 검색 방법을 제시하고, 등록기에서는 DOM을 이용하여 해당 데이터를 추출하고 DB에 등록한다. 이는 문서의 재사용성을 높일 수 있다. 따라서, XML을 학교 현장에서 이용함으로써 웹에서 정보의 공유를 원활히 하고, 문서 작성의 효율성을 높이고자 한다.

The impact of the Characteristics of Posting at Social Media Service on the Consumer Responsiveness in the Comics Publication Industry (출판 만화 기업의 소셜 네트워크 서비스 게시글의 속성이 소비자 호응도에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, comics pulication industry is experiencing long-time recess in Korean market. To overcome the difficulties firms are trying to develop various tools which fit new technological environments, but previous research tend to have focused too much on web-base contents such as webtoons, rather than communication effectiveness through social network services. Thus, this study investigated the relationship between the characteristics of postings at social network service and the consumer responsiveness. In the results, we found that posting with visual images and event invitations were positively associated with consumer responsiveness, and the amount of information was negatively associated with the responsiveness. This study shows some implications on how firms can effectively enhance communication with consumers through social network service.
