Building CSR through Organizational Acts of Compassion (조직 내 컴페션 행동을 통한 기업의 사회적 책임)

  • Our study builds up a theoretical model to explain how individual compassion in organizations affects the macro concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). A theoretical framework conceptualizes whereby individual compassions in work organizations responding to others' suffering generate positive or negative organizational identity, which impact their CSR activities. That is, we proposes that authentic compassion will develop positive organizational identity and then leads to proactive CSR, while pseudo compassion will trigger negative organizational identity and in turn results in reactive CSR. This study aims to explain the antecedents of firms' CSR in terms of individual compassion in organizations, interacted with the dynamics of organizational identity.

  • 유역 특히 상습침수지구의 통합관리는 유역이라는 한정된 범위 내에서 물에 영향을 미치거나 물에 의하여 영향을 받는 모든 인간 활동과 자연현상을 통합적으로 고려하는 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 유역관리는 유역 차원에서 물을 경제적이고 공평하게 관리하고 분배하여 수자원에 대한 장기적이고 지속가능한 해결방안을 마련하는 것이다. 여기에는 정부, 시민사회 및 기업 행위자가 사회경제적 개발목표와 정책형성, 집행계획을 수립하는 것으로부터 시작된다. 유역관리를 위한 의사결정들은 행위자들과의 영향으로 수정되며, 이런 과정에서 토지와 수자원에서 분쟁이 발생하며, 수자원 관리자는 자연현상, 물 사용, 재정적, 인적자원 및 외부적인 요인으로 인해 목적을 달성하는데 부합하지 않을 수도 있다. 효과적인 유역관리를 위해서는 제약조건하에서 수자원 관리자가 의사결정에 정보를 주고 주요 행위자들과 협력을 통해서 이루어 질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 유역관리를 위한 의사결정을 행위자기반모형(Agent based Model, ABM)으로 이해하고자 하며, ABM은 유역관리의 이해당사자간의 정책과정을 도출하고 다양한 유역관리 대안을 평가하고 유역관리의 영향을 설명하는 모델이다. 본 모형은 관측자료를 통해 상향식 접근법으로 가능한 많은 세부사항을 모의할 수 있다. 분석과정은 자료의 수집, 모델 확립, 모델의 개발, 통계자료 수집 및 모델의 결과와 실제 시스템의 보충된 관측자료를 비교하는 검증 순으로 진행되며, 본 모델에서의 행위자는 과거의 행동으로부터 주위 환경의 반응하는 패턴을 확인하고 개발하며, 이러한 패턴은 정책들을 구별하기 위해서 이용되며, 이러한 과정에서 강화학습이 이루어진다. 이를 통해 행위자의 익숙한 방식의 합리적인 행동과 정책들의 상관관계를 평가할 수 있으며, 강화학습을 통해 실제적인 통계적인 모델이 가능하다.

The Constituent Elements of State Responsibility Regarding Space Activities of Private Entities from the Perspective of General International Law (일반 국제법상 민간기업의 우주활동에 대한 국가책임의 성립요건)

  • In traditional international law, a state was internationally responsible only for its activities. With the diversification of the subjects of international law and with the expansion of state's activities, however, bearing international responsibility by the state for its nationals or private enterprises has been recognised in international case law and states practices. Also, this was codified in 2001 by International Law Commission, finishing Draft articles on Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts. Yet, international responsibility of state for private entities carrying out space activities including launching of satellites and space launch vehicles has been dealt with as an exception from state responsibility in general international law. As we have seen the successful launching of 'Falcon Heavy' by SpaceX which is an american private entity, the private activities in outer space are expanding to even as far as deep space such as Mars. In other words, the scope of the private activities is too enormous to deal with the activities, irrespective of general theories on state responsibility in international law. Therefore, it will be significant to see the constituent elements of state responsibility for private activities in outer space from the point of general international law, without prejudice to provisions related to international space law.

Comparison of Vietnamese Consumer Response to Advertisements of Korean Companies and Vietnamese Companies: Focusing on Balance Theory (한국 기업과 베트남 기업의 광고에 대한 베트남 소비자 반응에 관한 비교연구: 균형이론을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted for the purpose of comparing the advertising effect of Korean companies and Vietnamese domestic companies by applying the balance theory to Vietnamese consumers emerging as a new market for Korean companies. An experiment was conducted on female university students, and cognitive, emotional, and behavioral responses to advertisements in the two countries were investigated. The results showed that there was no difference in the cognitive dimension of Vietnamese consumers' evaluation of advertisements in Korea and Vietnam, but there is a difference in the emotional dimension and the behavioral dimension. This study contributed theoretically to the possibility of applying the balance theory to the study of international advertising effects, and the implications of international advertising of Korean companies in the underdeveloped markets were discussed.

  • 우리나라 지역발전정책은 80년대 들어서 심화된 국토불균형 문제를 해소하기 위하여 지역경제 활성화 및 지방투자 촉진 목적의 다양한 정책 수단을 마련하면서 본격화 되었다. 수도권 소재 기업의 지방 이전을 위한 각종 법률과 제도가 제정 시행된 결과 일정 부분 성공했다는 평가가 있다. 충북지역 역시 수도권 소재 기업의 유치를 위하여 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이러한 중앙정부와 지방정부의 다양한 노력 결과, 2000년 이후에 충북으로 이전한 총수는 약 170여개 기업 정도가 되었다. 이들 기업은 업종별이나 지역별 등과 같은 그 구성 비율로 볼 때 고르지 못한 면이 있다. 예를 들어 기업의 지역별 이전기업 수를 보면 충주 46개, 청원 28개 기업으로 주로 충북 북부지역과 중부권에 집중되어 있고 영동과 보은 등의 남부권으로 이전한 기업은 거의 없어, 균형 개발 차원에서 남부 3군(옥천 포함)에 대한 충북도 차원의 지원이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

Tax compliance of newly founded company with framing effect - detection rate, framing effect, client advocacy, risk seeking tendency - (프레이밍효과를 적용한 창업기업의 납세순응 - 적발률, 납세자 옹호성향, 위험선호성향을 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the tax compliance applying framing effect, with the influence of detection rates, client advocacy, risk seeking tendency on the amount of income declared. Questionaires were filled in by CFA in Busan. Questionaires involve three cases (newly founded company, loss-expected company, gain-expected company). Respondents declared least in newly founded company, next loss-expected company, to gain-expected company. Respondents declared more as detection rates rose. As client advocacy increases, newly founded company and loss-expected company declare less, while gain-expected company declare more. As risk seeking tendency increases, newly founded company and loss-expected company declare less, but gain-expected company. Finally the interaction effect between client advocacy and risk seeking tendency is supported.

  • 특정 기업 및 국가를 대상으로 하는 APT(Advanced Persistent Threat)공격의 경우 특정 시스템을 겨냥하여 제작되기 때문에 기존의 시그니처 기반의 악성코드 탐지 방식으로는 해당 악성코드를 탐지할 수 없다. 따라서 알려지지 않은 악성코드를 탐지할 수 있는 행위 기반의 악성코드 탐지 방식이 최근 이슈화되었다. 본 논문에서는 연구되고 있는 행위 분석 기반의 악성코드 탐지 방식들을 분석함으로써 향후 행위 기반 악성코드 탐지 기술 개발 및 연구에 기여하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study examines interaction between region and industries through industrial networks of the regional resource-based industry. To achieve this goal, the fermented soy products industry in Sunchang is selected as a case study. This study traces the process of adjustment of firm-activity networks. And then, it scrutinizes the coevolution process between region and industry. It shows that the fermented soy products industry in Sunchang is embedded in the region and it strengthens regional development potentials for the local/regional economy.

  • Korean companies currently operating in China have made active efforts to undertake corporate social responsibility activities and corporate advertising to improve their image, as well as marketing activities directly related to their products. In this context, this study aims to analyze how corporate social responsibility activities and corporate advertising influence a company's image from the perspective of Chinese consumers. This study also analyzes corporate image, consumer-company identification, and the structural relationship between the consumers' behavioral responses and their evaluation of Korean products. Based on theoretical discussions and previous studies, the study tests five research hypotheses for the development of a theoretical research model. In order to empirically test the research model, data were collected by enlisting and observing MBA students from major universities in China. The results obtained by actual analysis are as follows. First, corporate social responsibility activities and corporate advertising were found to be positively influential on corporate image. Second, corporate image is positively influential on consumer-company identification. The consumer-company identification of Chinese consumers' evaluation of Korean products, and positive evaluation of Korean products in turn induce positive influences on Chinese consumers' behavioral responses. These results suggest that the Korean companies already established in China not only need to enhance a positive corporate image but also have to make efforts to undertake corporate social responsibility activities and corporate advertising activities in order to improve their continuous and long-term relationship with Chinese consumers.
