Design of 2-Axis Actuator of Wire Suspension Type for CD Optical Head (와이어 부동형 CD 광학헤드용 2축 구동부 설계)

  • The optical heads as the key parts of digital audio/video players are applied extensively from general household electric appliances to computer memory or game apparatuses, and the demand of them tends to be increased according to the extension of optical medium market. In this paper, the 2-axis actuator, the key component for focus servo and tracking servo of the optical head is designed as a type of the cantilever suspended by 4 wires. The design propriety is verified through its simulation and the characteristic analysis of its mock-ups. The other factors which influence the performance of 2-axis actuators besides the design factors of them, are also verified through the mock-up analysis.

  • 프로그램 코드는 실행이 되기 전에 반드시 주 기억 장치에 Loading 되어야 하는데, 이때 Loading Time 은 압축 데이터를 NAND Flash Memory 로부터 읽어오는 시간과 압축을 복원하는 시간의 합이 된다. 따라서 빠른 압축 복원 속도는 코드 압축을 사용하는 임베디드 장치에서는 매우 중요한 요소가 된다. 일반적으로 휴대 장치의 경우 일반 PC 와는 달리 적은 배터리 용량 및 프로세서의 한계, 프로그램을 저장하는 NAND Flash Memory 의 크기 때문에 최적의 성능을 발휘할 수 없었다. 본 논문에서는 무 손실 압축 알고리즘에 대한 연구를 진행 함과 동시에 모바일 환경에 적합한 LZCode 을 개선하여 복원속도를 기존 LZCode 보다 1.5 배 향상 시키는 알고리즘을 제시 하고자 한다.

Development of Smart Switchgear for Versatile Ventilation Garments: Optimum Diameter and Voltage Application Unit Time of One-way Shape Memory Alloy Wire for a Bi-directional Actuator (가변 통기성 의복을 위한 스마트 개폐장치 개발: 양방향 작동 액추에이터 제작을 위한 일방향 형상기억합금 와이어의 최적 직경 및 전압인가 단위시간의 도출)

  • The study figured out the operational conditions of a two-way movement actuator made of one-way shape memory alloy (OWSMA) for versatile ventilation intelligent garments. To develop a low-power actuator that consumes energy only when a garment changes its form such as opening and closing, multiple channels of OWSMA were used, and optimum diameter of the wires was examined. For the switch device, optimum voltage application unit time was determined. Optimum diameter of OWSMA wire was determined by applying 3.7V to the pre-determined candidate diameters, which demonstrated two-way operation in previous studies. In order to evaluate the optimum voltage application time, the internal diameter of the actuator was measured while increasing and decreasing by 50 ms from the unit time of voltage application. Delay time under two-way operation of the actuator was measured to minimize interference caused by heat between channels. Power of 3.7V was applied to OWSMA for assessment of optimal time, and the whole process from heating to cooling was video-recorded with a thermal image camera to determine the point of time at which the temperature of OWSMA wire dropped below the phase transformation temperature. The results showed that $0.4{\Phi}$ was the most suitable diameter, and the optimum unit time of voltage applied to open and close the actuator was 4100ms. It was also shown that the delay time should be more than 1.8 seconds between two-way operations of the actuator.

Musicals and Memories of the March 1 Independence Movement - Centered on the musical Shingheung Military School, Ku: Songs of the Goblin, Watch (기념 뮤지컬과 독립운동의 기억 -<신흥무관학교>, <구>, <워치>를 중심으로)

  • On the musical stage in 2019, there were many works depicting the Japanese colonial period. This is due to 2019 the timeliness of the March 1st Movement and the centennial of the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. The way of remembering and commemorating historical facts reflects the power relationship between memory subjects and the time, namely the politics of memory. Until now, stage dramas dealing with the era of Japanese rule have focused on the commemoration of modern national and national defense, including feelings of misfortune and respect for patriots. This study analyzed the metaphor of the memorials emphasized to the audience in the commemorative musicals Shingheung Military School, Ku: Songs of the Goblin, and Watch which were performed in 2019, and looked at how to adjust memories and memorials. The above works highlight the narratives of ordinary people as well as those recorded against the backdrop of the Manchurian Independence Movement and Hongkou Park, expanding the object of the commemoration. Through this, active armed resistance efforts, self-reflection and reflection were highlighted. The case of Shingheung Military School revealed the earnestness of ordinary people who led the independence movement through the movement of central figures. Ku: Songs of the Goblin revises memories by reproducing forgotten objects and apologizing through time slip. Watch has strengthened the spectacles of facilities through documentary techniques such as photography, news reels, and newspaper articles, but it also reveals limitations limited to records. In the 3.1 Movement and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, devices that actively reveal that the "people's movement" is connected to the present. To this end, the official records reflected the newly produced values and memories and devoted themselves to the daily lives and emotions of the crowd. In addition, both empirical consideration and calligraphy were utilized to increase reliability. These attempts are meaningful in that they have achieved the achievement of forming contemporary empathy.

  • Morphing wing which has a configuration optimized to flight speed and condition is faced to a lot of barriers to be overcome such as actuator technique, structural mechanization technique, flexible skin material, control law, and so on. As the first step for developing a morphing wing with rapid response, we designed and fabricated the morphing airfoil using a SMA(shape memory alloy) wire actuator and torsional bias springs. The design concept of the morphing airfoil was verified through operation test. The measured results show that the flap deflects smoothly and fast.

  • Successful separation of satellites from launch vehicles and release its appendages such as solar arrays and antennas are one of the most important tasks for mission accomplishment during in-orbit maneuver. Especially, specific release devices called NEA(Non-Explosive Actuator) have been widely adopted to perform safe separation and release due to its outstanding performance of low functional shock (below 500g), no contamination and easy handing as opposed to the pyroshock device. In the paper, various kinds of NEA and its history of development are reviewed along with a summary on the domestic research trend.

  • CAD/CAM Software는 operating system(OS), 도형표시 회화처리, 형상정의, 형상조작, DBMS, 응용등으로 되어 있다. 그림 9에 이들 관계를 표시하고 있다. (1) operating system(OS) OS는 특히 CAD/CAM 특유의 것은 없고, 컴퓨터를 보다 효율있게 이용하기 위한 기본적인 software이다. OS 기능으로는 이하와 같은 것이 있다. .task 관리: CAD/CAM시스템은 일반적으로 복수의 단말에서 부터 다른 응용을 동시에 처리, 또는 back ground 로서 ploter를 움직인다. 이와같은 동질처리 (multitash)의 관리를 행한다. . Data 관리: 외부의 기억장치와의 data 수수를 행하기 위한 기본 software. .통신제어: 타의 컴퓨터와 통신회선으로 연결되어 있을 때, 이들의 data 수수를 행한다. 특히, LAN의 1 node로서 CAD/CAM 시스템이 연결되는 일이 많다. 이 경우, 다른 단말과의 communication 기능이 중요하다. .기타: FORTRAN등의 언어 processor, program 또는 data 관리와 같은 utilities가 포함되어 있다.

  • This paper suggests a new algorithm which minimizes the bit dimension of control memory considering the flexibility for reprogramming in the microprogrammed digital systems. The algorithm can not only minimize the bit dimension but also compensate the loss of flexibility by giving a highest MOP the unique field in the process of bit minimization. Also, programming the algorithm, that result and previous works are compared and reviewed. Then the bit reduction and the improvement of flexibility are proved.

  • 공학의 많은 응용분야에서 큰 회소 행렬(Large Sparse Matrices)에 대한 가장 작거나 또는 가장 큰 고유치(Eigenvalues)들을 요구하게 되는데, 이때 많이 이용되는 것은 Krylov Subspace로의 Projection방법이다. 대칭 행렬에 대해서는 Lanczos방법을, 비대칭 행렬에 대해서는 Biorhtogonal Lanczos방법을 이용할 수 있다. 이러한 기존의 알고리즘들은 새롭게 제안되는 병렬처리 시스템에서 효과적이지 못하다. 많은 프로세서를 가지는 병렬처리 컴퓨터 중에서도 분산 기억장치 시스템(Distributed Memory System)에서는 프로세서들 사이의 Data Communication에 필요한 시간을 줄이도록 해야한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 Lanczos 알고리즘을 수정함으로써, 알고리즘의 동기점(Synchronization Point)을 줄이고 병렬화를 위한 입상(Granularity)을 증가시켜서 MPP인 Cray T3E에서 Data Communication에 필요한 시간을 줄인다. 많은 프로세서를 사용하는 경우 수정된 알고리즘이 기존의 알고리즘에 비해 더 나은 speedup을 보여준다.

  • DRAM(Dynamic Random Access Memory)은 반도체 소자중 가장 대표적인 기억소자로, switch역활을 하는 1개의 transistor와 data의 전하를 축적하는 1개의 capacitor로 구성된 단순한 구조와 고집적화에 용이하다는 이점을 바탕으로, supercomputer에서 가전제품 및 산업기기에 이르기 까지 널리 이용되어왔다. 한편으로 DRAM사업은 고가의 장치사업으로 조기시장 진입을 위하여 초기에 막대한 자본투자, 급속한 기술발전, 짧은 life cycle, 가격급락등이 심하여, 시한내 투자회수가 이루어져야 하는 위험도가 큰 기회사업이라는 양면성도 가지고 있다. 이러한 관점때문에 새로운 DRAM기술은 매 세대마다 끊임없이 빠른 속도로 개발되어왔다. 그러나 sub-micron이하의 DRAM세대로 갈수록 그에 대한 신기술은 점차 어렵게 되어가고, 한편으로는 system의 다양화에 따른 요구도 강하여, 이제는 통상적인 DRAM의 고집적화/저가의 전략만으로는 생존하기 어려운 실정이므로 개발전략도 수정하여야만 할 것이다. 이러한 어려운 기술한계를 극복하기 위하여 새로운 소자기술 및 공정개발에 대한 breakthrough가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 현재까지의 DRAM개발 추이와 향후의 기술방향에 관하여 몇가지 중요한 item을 설정하여 논의해 보기로 한다.
