There has been abundant empirical research undertaken on the technical efficiency of Korean ports. Most studies have focused on the use of parametric and non-parametric techniques to analyse overall technical efficiency. This paper utilizes data for the period 2000-07 to offer a heterogeneous perspective on the overall efficiency of Korean ports. The framework assumes that ports use one input to produce one output; the output and input include port export(import) and regional export(import). This paper also employs panel analysis and heteroscedastic Tobit model to show the effect of the explanatory variables on the port efficiencies. The panel analysis shows that the regional export/total export has negative effect on the export efficiency while the regional import/total import has not any relations with the import efficiency. The heteroskedastic Tobit model shows that both regional export ratio and regional import ratio have negative effects on the efficiency while the gross regional domestic product has not any significant relations with the import efficiency.

The purpose of this article lies in investigating the problems and limitations of the current LIS education in Korea with an emphasis on the viewpoints of librarians. Also identified are the librarians suggestions for a better LIS educational system, in particular, for the renovation of the current LIS curriculum to upgrade the competencies of future librarians. To this end, 347 librarians from public, academic, special, and school libraries were e-mail surveyed. And the collected data were analyzed and interpreted to find out the specific problems and suggestions based on the types of libraries as well as the overall problems and suggestions.

Thanks to diffusions of mobile devices and advances of network technologies, demands for mobile app have been increased dramatically. It has resulted in mobile app industries as well as mobile app authoring tools are facing a crisis over subordinate to specific OS and platform such as iOS, Android and Apple App Store. Because these particular OS and platforms are obstacles to overcome for supporting interoperability and compatibility. In this study, we have conducted expert interviews and surveys to analyze status of mobile app markets and needs for mobile app user and developer. As a result, mobile app based on HTML5 leads to interconnect various mobile devises without additional efforts. Thereby, mobile app user and developer take a positive view of HTML5. However, mobile app developers tend to have the technical path dependence, they especially in venture and small enterprises need to government support for professional manpower training.

The performance of ultrasonic testing systems for industrial or medical purpose largely depends on the performance of ultrasonic transducers. Generally, the information about an ultrasonic transducer performance characteristics are expressed by the ultrasonic R/F signal back from a reflector and its frequency characteristics in the data sheet provided by manufacturers. In case of focused ultrasonic transducers, the two pieces of information can, however, hardly assure that the focused ultrasonic transducer would produce well-focused C-scan images. Therefore, we propose the measured size of focal spot and the reconstructed shape of effective focal zone in the focused sound field as novel measures for the performance evaluation of the focused ultrasonic transducers. The process of getting the both measures of the transducers is conducted by the implemented software including sound field scanning and virtual 3D reconstruction functions which requires the echo of a point reflector. The proposed method could, otherwise impossible in the existing method, effectively and simply distinguish superior ones among many transducers made in the same specification and be also used to detect the performance degradation due to the aging of the transducers. Eventually, the quality of performance of the ultrasonic testing systems for industrial or medical purpose is secured.

Today we live in a flood of web sites and access numerous websites through the Internet to obtain various information. However, unless the security of the Web site is secured, Web site security can not be secured from various malicious attacks. Hacking attacks, which exploit Web site security vulnerabilities for various reasons, such as financial and political purposes, are increasing. Various attack techniques such as SQL-injection, Cross-Site Scripting(XSS), and Drive-By-Download are being used, and the technology is also evolving. In order to defend against these various hacking attacks, it is necessary to remove the vulnerabilities from the development stage of the website, but it is not possible due to various problems such as time and cost. In order to compensate for this, it is important to identify vulnerabilities in Web sites through web vulnerability checking and take action. In this paper, we investigate web vulnerabilities and diagnostic techniques and try to understand the priorities of vulnerabilities in the development stage according to the actual status of each case through cases of actual web vulnerability diagnosis.

Cloud computing service is a next generation IT service which has pay-per-use billing model and supports elastically provisioning IT infra according to user demand. However it has many potential threats originating from outsourcing/supporting service structure that customers 'outsource' their own data and provider 'supports' infra, platform, application services, the complexity of applied technology, resource sharing and compliance with a law, etc. In activation of Cloud service, we need objective assessment standard to ensure safety and reliability which is one of the biggest obstacles to adopt cloud service. So far information security management system has been used as a security standard for a security management and IT operation within an organization. As for Cloud computing service it needs new security management and assessment different from those of the existing in-house IT environment. In this paper, to make a Information Security Management System considering cloud characteristics key components from threat management system are drawn and all control domain of existing information security management system as a control components are included. Especially we designed service security management to support service usage in an on-line self service environment and service contract and business status.

In e-commerce, rapid and accurate automatic product classification according to product information is important. Recent developments in deep learning technology have been actively applied to automatic product classification. In order to develop a deep learning model with good performance, the quality of training data and data preprocessing suitable for the model are crucial. In this study, when categories are inferred based on text product data using a deep learning model, both effects of the data preprocessing and of the selection of training data are extensively compared and analyzed. We employ our CNN model as an example of deep learning model. In the experimental analysis, we use a real e-commerce data to ensure the verification of the study results. The empirical analysis and results shown in this study may be meaningful as a reference study for improving performance when developing a deep learning product classification model.

Zhang yimou's film "the shadow" adopts a lot of modern literary symbolic content in the story structure. The novel has been greatly modified, abandoning the setting of the original work and making up the historical background of the story, thus completing the discourse practice of aerial literature rather than historical literature. The film expresses the historical story poetically and even writes the personal mind. In this way, the audience's sense of substitution is increased, and a large number of traditional Chinese cultural symbols are adopted visually. In terms of clothing, the most traditional is sought, which advocates loyalty to history, and adds cultural connotation and depth. The audience can feel the bold and unfettered artistic creation spirit of the main creator, as well as the novel and unique visual expression style, which makes his works have both traditional visual perception and modern story content. This paper examines the differences between the Korean and American stock markets using the Kospi and S&P 500 indices and discusses policy implications through them. To this end, in addition to the existing time series analysis method, a deep learning method was used to compare markets, and the comparison was made in terms of stock price forecasting ability and data generation ability. In monthly data, the difference between time series was not large, and in daily data, the difference in terms of stability was weak, and there was no significant difference in predictive power or simulation data generation. As shown in the results of this study, if there is not much difference in market price movement patterns between Korea and the United States, tax benefits for long-term stocks investment will be effective against the side effects of short selling.
