The Effect of Using the Functional Taping Applied Caffeine on Fatigue Substance during High-Intensity Training in Sprint Runners (단거리 육상선수들의 고강도 훈련 시 카페인을 도포한 기능성 테이핑이 피로물질에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest the basic information about functional taping applied caffeine which is to improve the fatigue and athletic performance during exercise by examining the effects of the functional taping applied caffeine on fatigue substance during high-intensity training. 10 male university students who are sprint runners were participated for this study and blood lipid components such as lactic acid, LDH, and phosphorous were analyzed. First, a group who used the functional taping applied caffeine showed lower rate of increase in lactic acid than other group who didn't use taping and also lactic acid showed lower rate of increase after the training than before the training. Second, a group who used the functional taping applied caffeine showed lower rate of increase in LDH than other group who didn't use taping and LDH also showed lower rate of increase after the training than before the training. Third, a group who used the functional taping applied caffeine showed lower rate of increase in phosphorous than other group who didn't use taping and phosphorous also showed lower rate of increase after the training than before the training. With this results, a group who used functional taping applied caffeine and perform high-intensity training can be a method which it can change the lactic acid, LDH, and phosphorous in positive way to sprint runners.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of complex ergogenic aid supplementation on endurance performance, energy substrate utilization (glucose, FFA) and blood fatigue factors (ammonia, lactate, phosphorous, pH, 5-HT) in endurance exercise. Subjects (male=10) took in complex ergogenic aid (180 ml/day) for 4 weeks and were tested after pre-test. Endurance performance times increased after supplementation compared to before supplementation. However, there was no additional accumulation of the fatigue materials. Thus the complex ergogenic aid supplementation caused the delay of the fatigue material accumulation during endurance exercise.

Usefulness of the quantitative analysis by using the functional parameter index from dynamic salivary glands scintigraphy (동적 타액선 신티그라피에서 기능적 매개변수 지표를 활용한 정량 분석의 유용성)

  • Purpose This study was to evaluate the usefulness through the comparison of patients group and healthy control group by acquiring a variety of functional parameters index from time-activity curves of salivary gland scintigraphy using $^{99m}Tc$. Materials and Methods From December 2014 to February 2015 with the targets of 30 patients in the patient group who presented themselves with xerostomia and underwent the salivary gland scan and 10 people in healthy control group, approximately 30 minutes of dynamic Scan was carried out after the intravenous bolus injection of 370 MBq of $^{99m}TcO_4{^-}$ and per os stimulation with Vitamin C powder 20 minutes after the injection. The method of quantitative analysis was as follows, the time-activity curve was drawn after the parotid gland and submandible gland were prescribed as a region of interest, a variety of functional parameters index was obtained in each position of the curve, and the patients group and the control group were compared. Results As for the methods applied in comparison and measurement, uptake ratio (UR), time at maximum counts (Tmax), time at minimum counts (Tmin), maximum accumulation (MA), accumulation velocity, maximum secretion (MS), maximum stimulation secretion (MSS), and secretion velocity (SV) were used. In the comparison of functional parameters index of patient group and normal group, the healthy normal group showed significant difference compared to the patient group in all indices except for the minimum radioactivity time (Tmin), and also in terms of variation over time the normal group showed significant difference compared to the patient group (p<0.05). Conclusion Consequently, it was considered that the quantitative analysis that used a variety of functional parameters index would be useful for evaluating the function of the salivary glands of the patients with xerostomia as an objective and standardized information.

  • A musculotendon model is proposed to predict muscle force during muscle fatigue due to the continuous functional electrical stimulation(FES). Muscle fatigue dynamics can be modeled as the electrical admittance of muscle fibers and included in activation dynamics based on the{{{{ { Ca}^{2+ } }}}} kinetics. The admittance depends on the fatigue variable that monotonically increase or decrease if electrical pulse exists or not, and on the stimulation parameters and the number of applied pulses. In the response of the change in activation the normalized Hill-type contraction dynamics connected with activation dynamics decline the muscle shortening velocity and thus its force under muscle fatigue. The computer simulation shows that the proposed model can express the muscle fatigue and its recovery without changing any stimulation parameters.

Patterns and Related Factors of Fatigue during Radiotherapy in Patients with Breast Cancer (유방암 환자에서 방사선 치료 경과에 따른 피로 양상 및 관련 변수에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the patterns and related factors of fatigue in patients with breast cancer undergoing radiotherapy. Method: 31 women with breast cancer receiving radiotherapy were recruited from the out-patient radiologic clinic of the university hospital in Seoul, Korea over a period of 3 months. Data was collected prospectively concerning three points for $5\frac{1}{2}\;-\;6\frac{1}{2}$ weeks : before radiotherapy(T1), 2 weeks after starting radiotherapy(T2) and the completion of radiotherapy(T3). Data were analysed by repeated measure ANOVA, Pearson correlaton, and multiple regression. Result: 1. Score of fatigue increased significantly over the course of radiotherapy. 2. Score of symptom distress and emotional distress increased and functional status scores decreased significantly over time. 3. Fatigue was positively related with symptom distress and emotional distress and negatively related with functional status over the course of radiotherapy. 4. At T2, emotional distress explained 24.7% of the variation in fatigue. At T3, symptom distress(41.9%) and emotional distress(7.2%) explained the variance in fatigue. Conclusion: The results of this study provided evidence that fatigue increased over the course of radiotherapy and symptom distress and emotional distress were influencing factors of fatigue in this group. The results of this study suggest that comprehensive intervention strategy for fatigue should be developed to maintain quality of life during and following radiotherapy considering these factors.

Thermal Fatigue Failure of Solder Joints in Electronic Systems (미세솔더접속부의 열피로파단)

  • 마이크로솔더링에 의한 전자기기는, 사회기능의 중추가 되는 컴퓨터, 통신 기기, 항공기 인공위성 등의 제어계를 구성하므로, 그 접속부에 대한 높은 신뢰성의 요구는 그 무엇보다 중요하다. 전자기기에 있어서의 솔더 접속부는 집과 기판의 전기 적.기계적 접속의 역할을 하고 있으며, 따라서 개개의 접속부의 파단은 전체의 불량 으로 연결된다. 실제 전자콤포넌트와 그 시스템의 단선 등의 사고에 있어서 자주 발생 하는 사고중의 하나가 솔더접속부의 단선에 의한 것이며, 그 단선중에서도 가장 보편 적이며 또한 대단히 심각한 문제로서 주목을 받고 있는 것이 솔더접속부의 열피로파단 이다. 전자기기를 사용할 때, 스위치의 on-off에 의한 power cycle과 환경의 온도변화 에 기인하는 반복열 사이클은 솔더접속부의 피로를 일으키게 되고, 결국에는 사용중에 파단을 초래하게 된다. 이러한 온도변화의 범위는 약 -55.deg. - 150.deg.C로 예상할 수 있으며, 여기서 최고온도인 150.deg.C는 Pb-Sn 공정합금의 경우 0.9Tm.p.이상의 고온에 해당한다. 이 피로는 등온적으로 또는 열사이클중에 발생하기도 한다. 솔더접 속부의 열피로수명은 대부분의 공업재료에서 나타나는 저사이클피로거동과 유사하게 발생하며, 솔더 접속부에 인가되는 열변형/응력(thermal strain/stress)의 크기에 크게 의존하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 솔더는 서로 다른 열팽창계수를 갖는 칩과 회로 기관의 두종류의 재료를 접속하기 때문에, 상기한 바와 같은 반복열사이클에 의하여 발생하는 열변형/응력이 접속부의 피로.파단을 야기시킨다. 이러한 솔더접속부에 대한 주기적인 응력/변형의 인가는 접속부에 내.외적으로 현저한 변화를 야기시키게 되고, 열피로로 연결되며 결국에는 시스템의 전기적 단선을 초래하게 된다. 또한 열피로파단 현상는 변형/응력의 크기 뿐 만아니라 솔더합금자체의 야금학적인 물성에도 크게 의존 하며, 내적.외적인 열변화에 의한 야금학적인 특성변화도 크게 영향을 미친다. 솔더 접속부의 신뢰성에 대한 연구는, 그 중요성에 비추어 볼 때, 지금까지 수많은 연구가 행하여져 왔다. 그러나 신뢰성과 관련된 열피로파단현상에 대한 야금학적인 면에서의 연구는 비교적 적은 편이다. 따라서 본 해설에서는 전자기기의 마이크로 솔더접속부 에서 발생하는 열피로파단현상에 대한 야금학적인 면에 중점을 두어 서술하고자 한다.

도공층의 공극 구조와 인쇄후 잉크의 잔류거동에 관한 연구

  • 종이가 가지는 공극 특성은 종이의 광학적 특성에 지대한 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 인쇄용 지로서 사용될 때 잉크의 다공성 기질로서 잉크의 잔류 특성에도 큰 영향을 미친다. 특히 다공성 기지의 표변에 유동성이 뛰어난 물질이 가해 질 때, 이들의 유동 특성은 기질이 지 니고 있는 공극율과 공극의 분포에 따라 큰 차이를 나타내는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 공극성은 백상지의 경우 사용된 펄프의 혼합 비율과 충전제의 사용량 그리고 펄프의 고해 정도에 따라 종이의 공극울이 달라진다. 종이의 공극성이 광학적 특성과 밀접한 연관성을 지니는 것은 종이의 광산란 계수를 결정하기 때문이다. 잘 알려진 바와 같이 종이의 광산란 계수는 빛의 산란과 관계되어 백색도와 백감도에 영향을 미친다. 그러나 도공지가 인쇄 용 지로 사용 될 경우, 도공지 표면에 도피되는 영크층은 도공지가 가지고 있는 구조적 특성을 변화시킬 수 있는 제3의 요인으로 간주 될 수 있다. 결국, 인쇄가 완료된 종이의 경우 원지층, 도공층 그리고 잉크층으로 구성된다. 따라서 다양 한 공극 구조를 가지는 기질위에 잉크가 도피될 경우 기질의 공극 특성에 따라 잉크 조성분 의 침투 거동에도 많은 차이가 있을 것으로 예측된다. 잉크의 구성 요소를 살펴보면 잉크의 색상을 결정하는 안료, 단일의 각 안료 입자를 도포하여 인쇄판으로부터 종이까지 운송시키 는 기능과 인쇄기에서 잉크의 유동성을 유지하고 종이 또는 기타 피인쇄체에 전이된 후에는 건조막을 형성하는 비히클 그리고 각종 기능성 첨가제로 구성되어 있다. 동일한 성분으로 구성된 잉크를 사용하여 각각 공극성이 다른 피인쇄체 위에 인쇄 될 경우 이들 조성분의 이 동과 표면 잔류 특성에 변화가 있을 것으로 생각된다. 즉 공극성이 풍부한 기질에 도피된 잉크는 반대의 경우와 비교하여 보다 많은 조성분이 종이의 공극 속으로 침투하게 될 것이 다. 이 과정에서 특히 미세한 안료 입자의 경우 피인쇄체의 표면 공극을 채우고, 비히클의 경우 미세한 공극속으로 침투되어 경화됨으로써 피인쇄체가 지니고 있는 공극량을 감소시커 게 될 것이다. 그리고 피인쇄체의 각종 형태의 공극으로 침투된 잉크의 양에 반비례적으로 피인쇄체의 표변에 잉크가 잔류하게 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여러가지 안료를 사용하여 각각 다른 공극 특성을 지니는 도공지를 제조한 후 이들이 가지는 공극 특성과 잉크의 잔류 거동에 대해 고찰해 보고자 하였다.

Quality Characteristics of Ogapiju Prepared by Different Raw Materials (원료 첨가를 달리한 오가피주의 품질 특성)

  • Quality characteristics of ogapiju prepared by adding different raw materials such as Acanthopanax(0, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5%), Ganoderma lucidum(0, 0.05%), pine needle (0, 0.05%), and red ginseng(0, 0.05%) were evaluated by chemical analyses and sensory evaluation. Total organic acid contents of samples containing ogapi and other medicinal herbs were higher than that of control group. Major free amino acid was histidine. Contents of total amino acid and free sugar were highest in sample C (Acanthopanax 0.1, G. lucidum 0.05, pine needle 0.50, red ginseng 0.05%). In each sample 31-49 volatile components were identified by solid-phase microextraction method, and 42 components were detected by sniff-test using GC-olfactometry. Ogapiju showed higher content of ${\alpha}-copaene$ than control group ${\alpha}-Pinene$, camphene, ${\beta}-pinene$, sabinene, ${\alpha}-terpinene,\;{\gamma}-terpinene$, p-cymene, terpinolene, ${\alpha}-thujone,\;{\beta}-thujone,\;{\alpha}-terpineol$, carvone, and ${\beta}-ionone$ were not identified in control group. Volatile composition of ogapiju was characterized by higher amount of terpenoids. Green and herbaceous note was stronger in ogapiju than control group. Sensory evaluation indicated that good taste and palatability were highest in sample C.

  • In order to utilize fish skin effectively, the acid-soluble collagen was extracted from the skin of filefish, Novoden modestrus, and the filefish skin collagen(FSG) was modified by papain-catalyzed incorporation of L-leucine alkyl ester(Leu-OCn). The functional properties of an enzymatically modified collagen were measured. The $FSC-Leu-OC_8$ showed very good emulsifiability and foamability and was suitable for use as a low-fat content proteinaceous surfactant.

An Evaluation of Structural Integrity and Fatigue Strength for the Bogie Frame of Monorail (모노레일 대차 프레임에 대한 구조 안전성 및 피로강도 평가)

  • In this paper, the structural integrity and fatigue strength for the bogie frame of Monorail being developed in domestic was evaluated. Presently, the standard of evaluation for the bogie frame of monorail was not regulated. Therefore, the evaluation of the structural integrity and fatigue strength for the bogie frame was performed on the basis of the UIC 615-4 standard. The structural integrity of the designed bogie frame was evaluated by displacement and Von-Mises stress under each load conditions. And the fatigue strength was evaluated by combined main in-service load conditions specified at UIC 615-4 standard and it was compared with result of fatigue analysis using winLIFE v3.1 with the function of batch processing. The results shows that the structural integrity and fatigue strength of the designed bogie frame was satisfied, and the fatigue analysis using batch processing was more effective than conventional fatigue analysis using combined load conditions.
