치매라는 말은 Dement라는 라틴어에서 유래된 것으로써 '정상적인 마음과는 거리가 멀어진것', '정신이 없어진 것'이라는 의미를 지니고 있다. 치매는 나이가 들어감에 따라 정상적으로 발달한 뇌가 후천적인 외상이나 질병 등 외부적인 요인에 의해 손상되거나 파괴되어 언어ㆍ학습ㆍ지능 등에 대한 전반적인 인지기능과 고등정신기능이 비정상적으로 감퇴되는 복합적인 임상증후군을 포괄적으로 이르는 것을 말한다.

The Web Services descriptions such as DAML-S/OWL-S, BPEL4WS and WSMF focusing on the functional aspects of Web Services have limitations for the representation of the conceptual and semantic capabilities of Web Services, although WSMF is based on ontology and can represent the goal of Web Services. This paper proposes the new description formalism based on the competence ontology that can represent both functional and semantic aspects of Web Services. This paper also presents the integration and the composition of Web Services by means of Data Mediator(D-Mediator) and Control Mediator(C-Mediator) to mediate compositional in compatibility between heterogeneous Web Services.

The first purpose of this paper is to design brand logo sign analysis frame, 'SCoL'(Analysis frame of signification and communication for the brand logo). It has semiotic view and communication function. And the second is to prove propriety of the suggested frame by application to social media brand logos. The SCoL frame is based on 4 features of logo sigh to have analytic consistency. Also, it covers whole semiological process with index, icon, symbol as signification understanding and reach communication step with Jakobson's theory. As the results, the findings are follow; The SCoL frame can be useful to get comprehensive semiotic understandings and communication functions about logo signs. The social media brands build their own meaning area with logo signs and they depend on different communication function.

In this paper, we propose modeling method for video data that represents structural and semantic contents of video data efficiently. Also, a browsing method that helps users easily understand and play the contents of video data is presented. The proposed modeling scheme consists of three layers such as raw data layer, content layer and key frame layer The content layer represents logical hierarchy and semantic contents of video data. We implement two kinds of browsers for playing video data and providing video contents. The playing browser plays video data and Presents the information of currently playing shot. The content browser allows users to browse raw data, structural information and semantic contents of video data.

The term 'memory' has acquired so many meanings today that it is not even confined to the mental domain any longer, although it is etymologically derived from the Anglo-Saxon word 'gemund', meaning mind. In its most typical sense, memory can be defined as 'the reawakening of the past in the service of present'. But in many papers, the term memory has been used in a various different meaning, which made the interpretation of the research result very complicated. Recently there has been tremendous development in the neurobiological researches with regard to the memory. This paper reviewed the concept, history, and current tendencies of the memory and memory researches comprehensively for the purpose of showing future direction of the memory researches.

문화는 정신적인 것에서부터 제도에 이르기까지 인간의 삶과 관련된 모든 것을 의미한다. 대중예술이라는 측면에서 대중문화는 디지털 정보매체의 발달과 관련하여 고전적인 것보다는 개성과 독창성을 중시하고, 사회 문화적인 의미 이상으로 그 중요성과 영향력을 가지고 있으며, 규격화되고 획일적이며, 동질적 성격을 띄는 특성을 지니고 있다. 대중문화의 기능은 순기능과 역기능으로 분류할 수 있는데, 전자는 문화가 대다수 대중의 삶의 표현이고 문화적 풍요를 경험할 수 있다는 관점이고, 후자는 대중을 한 집단의 구성원이나 개인으로 인식하기보다는 무차별적인 집합체로 인식하고, 상업주의, 획일성, 저속성 등의 부정적인 의미를 내포하고 있으며, 대중문화가 사회의 도덕과 윤리를 저해한다는 관점이다. 생명현상을 이해하기 위해서는 단백질의 기능 규명이 이루어져야한다. 단백질 기능 규명을 위한 서열분석 방법은 서열 상동성이 현저히 낮은 경우 단백질 기능 예측이 불가능하고, 과거의 전체적인 단백질 구조 분석을 통한 기능 예측의 문제점이 보고되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 기능상 중요한 의미를 가지고 있는 단백질의 특정하위구조의 기하학적 특징을 추출하여 이 특징과 잔기의 위치와의 관계를 규명하였다. 또한 NaiveBayes, SVM, C4.5의 분류알고리즘을 이용하여 각 알고리즘별 분류성능을 평가하였다. 기능상 중요한 의미를 가지고 있는 특정하위구조를 비교함으로써 모르는 단백질의 기능을 예측할 수 있다.

최근 텔레비전 화면 구성에서 활용되고 있는 화면분할 기법은 영상의 다양성과 동시성을 전달하는 시각 커뮤니케이션의 기능적인 역할을 충족하고 있다. 또한 다양한 장르에서 활용되고 있는 화면분할 기법은 유행적 패턴의 약호의 작용으로 드러나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 화면분할의 기법의 의미화 효과를 통한 장르별 특성을 살펴보고, 시각 커뮤니케이션의 기능적인 역할에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.
