The college students who are in the game generation have different cognitive characteristics from the previous generations, and the phenomena of attention loss in the existing education methods such as lectures are generally seen. This results in a problem that the satisfaction of the university education is lowered. To solve this problem, it is possible to improve students' interest and concentration by using game-based educational methods. In this paper, we propose a method of university education using alternative reality game. The prototype was implemented and tested to verify that the proposed method is suitable for the university environment and can be operated. Through the test results, we confirmed that the proposed method meets the requirements of the university education field and that the required functions are functioning normally. In addition, according to the results of the questionnaire surveyed for the students, it shows that the proposed alternative game method based on the alternative reality game will be more effective in attracting students and improving concentration than the current education method.

In modern society, as the rapid development of IT technology combined with the computer-based high-speed communication networks makes it possible to provide a wide spectrum of services and devices, we have been confronting a new cultural transformation era, referred to as the information society. However, the requirements to be considered in security aspect have became more complicated and diversified, and there remains the same security weaknesses as in the existing media or protocol. Particularly, the office network device with roaming is susceptible to the different kinds of attacks such as terminal hacking, virus attacks, and information leakage because the computing capacity is relatively low and the loading of already developed security functions is difficult. Although developed as one solution to this problems, PKI security authentication technology isn't suitable for multi-domain environments providing uonments proffice network service, and so the development of a novel authentication system is needed. Therefore, in this paper researched the roaming and device authentication/auth for multitechnology using an ID-based public key, authorization ticket, and Sub-device ticket with a purpose to contribute to the development of the secured and efficient technology.

To provide the privacy of transmitted message over network the use of cryptographic system is increasing gradually. Because the security and reliability of the cryptographic system is totally rely on the key, the key management is the most important part of the cryptographic system. Although there are a lot of security products providing encryption, the security of the key exchange protocols used in the product are not mostly proved yet. Therefore, we have to study properties and operation of key agreement protocols based on elliptic curve in ANSI X9.63. furthermore, we analyze the security of their protocols under passive and active attacker models and propose the most suitable application field taking the feature of the protocols into account.

In the recent years, various researches on the use cases of the cloud computing service have been achieved for its standardization. Notwithstanding, we need more additory effort to refine the operating mechanisms on the cloud computing environment. In this paper, we suggest an operating mechanism on IaaS cloud computing environment that is related to the integrated security management system. By using CloudStack 2.2.4 toolkit, we have built a test-bed for IaaS cloud computing service i.e., SWU-IaaS cloud computing environment. Through operating this hierarchical SWU-IaaS cloud computing environment, we have derived the attributes and the methods of its components. Its scenarios can be described in case of both normal state and abnormal state. At the end, a special scenario has been described when it receives a security event from the integrated security management system.

The aircraft fuel system performs a number of functions such as supplying fuel, transferring fuel between fuel tanks, and measuring the amount of residual fuel in each fuel tank. Since it is a direct cause of fire hazard in crash incident, it is a must to improve survivability of crew members by designing the airframe to tolerate expected crash impact. The civil aviation authority requires intensive verification of the fuel system design to determine precise application of the airworthiness requirement. Research activity on airworthiness certification criteria and verification scheme is still insufficient, although it has a significant importance. In this paper, as part of a study to improve flight safety by developing guidelines for demonstrating fuel system crash resistance, analysis results of fuel system crash-related airworthiness certification standards, verification scheme, and cases study applicable to military rotorcraft have been reviewed.

This paper presents the design process of an agricultural data sharing platform intended to address major challenges faced by the domestic agricultural industry. The platform was designed with a user interface that prioritizes user requirements for ease of use and offers various analysis techniques to provide growth prediction for field environment, growth, management, and control data. Additionally, the platform supports File to DB and DB to DB linkage methods to ensure seamless linkage between the platform and farmhouses. The UI design process utilized HTML/CSS-based languages, JavaScript, and React to provide a comprehensive user experience from platform login to data upload, analysis, and detailed inquiry visualization. The study is expected to contribute to the development of Korean smart farm models and provide reliable data sets to agricultural industry sites and researchers.

Along with the social interests and needs for health, the U-Healthcare Service as a new model to control individual dietary life and to prevent chronic diseases is now drawing the public attention. In this study, the characteristics of the requirement of U-Healthcare Service were investigated from subjects aged over 50 years old. As parts of the expectation to the U-Healthcare service, the customized clinical care & control (37.7%) and the systematic understanding of individual health state (21.4%) appeared significantly. And for the application of the U-Healthcare Service to the field of healthcare, the control of dietotherapy (43.9%) appeared higher than anything else and thus the customized service for individual dietotherapy seemed to be needed. Regarding the field of searching for health information, the disease control (35.6%), food materials (28.6%), and recipe for health foods (22.7%) appeared in sequence and revealed that the majority over 50% of subjects were interested in foods. The requirements for the information of dietary formula were also investigated through 5 points scaled questionnaires on respective topics of nutritive components, menus customized for corresponding health states (diseases), and the results obtained from surveys on respective topics all showed the needs for all information by representing each point value exceeded 3.9. Through the results obtained from this study, the provision of customized information enabling the nutritional control in accordance with individual states of health or disease was estimated to be needed for the popularization of U-Healthcare Service providing contents for dietary life of clients especially those of aged over 50 years.

Navigational equipment standardization mode is a function which is used to standardize key functions, screen display and operation method of major navigation equipment. This is aimed towards to quickly and accurately checking information relevant for safe navigation. Currently, the International Maritime Organization is working on the development of guidelines for the application of navigational equipment in the standardized mode to the task of NCSR Sub-Committee. This study was conducted to investigate users' opinions and preferences in the application of standardization modes and to reflect them in the development of guidelines. In addition, the test program was designed to investigate user preferences for ECDIS among the navigational equipment, such as the types of information and functions that are necessary or preferentially required to perform navigational duties, and the screen configuration. In the study, 333 preference surveys were conducted in 35 countries using a web - based test program. ECDIS users confirmed the content and screen layout of their preferred ECDIS information when conducting navigation duty. The results of the study are significant as they contribute to the development of effective guidelines by presenting user requirements to be considered in the standardization mode.

As the usage of database systems dramatically increases and the amount of data pouring into them is massive, the performance administration techniques for using database systems effectively are getting more important. Especially in data warehouses, the performance management is much more significant mainly because of large volume of data and complex queries. The objectives and characteristics of data warehouses are different from those of other operational systems so adequate techniques for performance monitoring and tuning are needed. In this paper we extend functionalities of the DBMax, a performance administration tool for Oracle database systems, to apply it to data warehouse systems. First we analyze requirements based on summary management and ETL functions they are supported for data warehouse performance improvement in Oracle 9i. Then, we design architecture for extending DBMax functionalities and implement it. In specifics, we support SQL tuning by providing details of schema objects for summary management and ETL processes and statistics information. Also we provide new function that advises useful materialized views on workload extracted from DBMax log files and analyze usage of existing materialized views.

In this paper, we propose a password-based authenticated key exchange protocol which authenticates each other and shares a session key using only a small memorable password between a client and a server over an insecure channel. The proposed protocol allows an authenticated client to freely change a his/her own password. The protocol is also secure against various attacks and provides the perfect forward secrecy. Furthermore, it has good efficiency compared with the previously well-known password-based protocols with the same security requirements.
