4세 영재아들의 유아교육기관 생활 - 문화 기술적 사례연구

  • 본 연구에서는 4세 영재아들이 유아교육 기관에서 일반 유아들과 생활하는 과정을 문화기술적(ethnographic) 연구방법을 통하여 분석해 보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 서울시에 위치한 유치원의 만 4세 남자 유아와 전주시에 위치한 어린이집에 다니는 만 4세 여자 유아를 대상으로 선정하였다. 1999년 4월 2일 - 1999년 6월 18일까지 14주 동안 진행되었다. 관찰은 1주일에 2-3회 1시간 정도씩 참여하였다. 교사와의 면담은 6차례에 걸쳐 총 2시간 10분 동안의 면담을 녹음하여 분석하였다. 부모와의 면담은 4차례에 걸쳐 실시되었으며, 영재아를 지도해 본 교사 6명에게 설문지를 실시하였다. 수집된 사례는 부호화하고 범주화 한 뒤 분석하였다. 본 연구는 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교육기관에서 4세 영재아들은 풍부한 지식과 우수한 기억력, 부한한 상상력, 문제해결 능력과 논리적 추리 능력, 흥미와 집착, 다른 장난과 배회, 포기와 합리화의 특징을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 4세 영재아들의 또래 친구들과 자기 중심적 사고와 자기 주장, 갈등과 화합, 놀이 주도자와 창안자의 관계를 갖고 있었다. 셋째, 부모들은 자녀에 대해 강력한 지지자, 정원사와 같은 신념과 양육태도를 가지고 있었다. 넷째, 교사들을 영재아 지도에 대해 놀라운 아이, 방해하는 아이로 인식하였으며, 논리적 설득과 중재, 제재와 격리의 방법으로 지도 하고 있었으며, 수용 혹은 지나친 인정, 그리고 방치하는 것에 대해 갈등을 갖고 있었다.

Convergence Relationship between Job Stress and Mental Health of Subway Operators after the Installation of Screen Doors (안전문(screen doors) 설치 이후 지하철 기관사의 직무스트레스와 정신건강과의 융복합적 관련성)

  • This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the job stress levels of 669 subway operators in Seoul after the installation of screen doors and their mental health. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and via web site. A multiple linear regression analysis was conducted using the SPSS 20.0 statistical program. The total score of job stress turned to be higher than the standard score, and physical environment, job demand, insufficient job autonomy, interpersonal conflict and occupational climate were within the top 50% and organizational system within the top 25%. A correlation analysis revealed that job stress was positively correlated with all sub-domains of mental health. In terms of effects of job stress on mental health, there were significant differences according to job demand, organizational system, lack of reward and occupational climate, with an explanatory power of 36.6%. It is expected that this study can provide foundation for the establishment of organizational measures accustomed to job characteristics to prevent job stress of subway operators and the development and implementation of intervention programs for mental health promotion.

The Perceived Importance and Performance Frequency of Nursing Interventions in the Oncology Units in a Tertiary Hospital (종양내과병동에서의 간호중재 중요도 및 수행 빈도에 관한 연구 - 일 종합요양 전문기관을 중심으로 -)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to understand the perceived importance and performance frequencies of nursing interventions and identify the core and major interventions in oncology units. Methods: Questionnaires using 151 nursing interventions were given to 45 nurses. The performance frequency was measured through the database of the nursing process recording system for 1 year. Results: The perceived importance of the nursing interventions averaged out to be 3.5 among 4 and on average 36.5 times of nursing interventions were performed on each patient. Fifteen core nursing interventions including 'pain management' were identified and they made up 82.7% of the entire performance frequency rate. And 26 interventions including 'drug administration: Amphotericin-B' were identified as major nursing interventions and occupied 10.6% of the entire performance frequency rate. Conclusion: Since the core and the major nursing interventions were identified and these occupied 93.3% of the all nursing interventions, these results can be utilized as baseline data for establishing the guidelines and standards of nursing interventions and providing systematic education for oncology nurses in Korea.

Analysis of the Core Nursing Interventions Used in the Medical and Surgical Units in a Tertiary Hospital (내·외과계 입원단위 핵심 간호중재 분석 - 일 종합전문요양기관 중심으로 -)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to analyze the core nursing interventions that are used in the medical and surgical units, and to present the basic data that can be applied in clinical fields. Method: The data was collected from 353 nurses of the medical and surgical units from Jan. 2005 to Dec. 2005, using the database of nursing process record system used at a tertiary hospital. Results: 190 interventions were performed in the medical units, with 21 core nursing interventions. 198 interventions were performed in the surgical units, with 16 core nursing interventions. There were 11 common core nursing interventions. Conclusion: The results revealed that the ratio of physiological interventions and the interventions related to safety were high. The interventions were classified according to one's field of specialization, together with the common interventions were also being performed. According to the changes in the demands of consumers, there was also increases in the performance of 'pain management' and 'fall prevention.' We expect that this study will allow for the performance of standardized interventions, and that it will be helpful in the role of the experienced nurse, and in the approach to the nursing specialty.

Factors Affecting Nurses' Pain Management for Cancer Patients: Personal and Hospital Institution Aspects (간호사의 암성 통증관리 수행정도와 관련요인: 개인 및 병원 기관 요인)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine potential factors related to the management of cancer pain, that is, hospital institutional factors as well as personal aspects of nurses. Methods: This study was a descriptive research study in which 229 RNs working in 2 tertiary medical institutions in Seoul and 4 secondary medical institutions in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi were surveyed. Results: It was found that nurses' knowledge about pain intervention, their working division and their knowledge about the use of analgesics had different effects on their pharmacologic interventions. These 3 variables explained 14.5% of the variance regarding pharmacologic interventions. On the other hand, nurses' knowledge about pain interventions and nursing organization were variables affecting non-pharmacologic interventions by the nurses. These two variables explained 22.1% of the variance regarding non-pharmacologic interventions by the nurses. Conclusion: The findings indicate that nursing organization, one of hospital institutional factors, had significant effects on non-pharmacologic interventions. Therefore, to increase effective pain management by nurses, an organizational system should be established such as placement of nurse practitioners, improvement of nurses' autonomy in pain management, and development and distribution of standardized guidelines.

On the Japanese New Alternative Dispute Resolution System in the Financial Sector (일본의 금융분야 ADR 에 관한 검토)

  • In the past, ADR has not been used as frequently in Japan as it has in other parts of the industrialized world. However, though litigation is still the most utilized vehicle of dispute resolution by Japanese financial institutions, this will be changing. The New Financial ADR system, which was created by a June 2009 amendment to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, is meant to deal with every stage of financial-related disputes and, as such, strives to resolve disputes before they become significant and acts to ameliorate any post-ADR issues that may remain, thereby completing the FIEA's purpose to protect investors. Since the foundation of the New Financial ADR system applies to all related industries, new provisions were set out in 16 business related acts, such as the Banking Act, the Insurance Business Act, and FIEA itself. October 2010 will mark the formal introduction of a new system of financial ADR in Japan. New Financial ADR in Japan will be modeled on the Financial Ombudsman Service in the United Kingdom, but will not feature one comprehensive dispute resolution system in which one dispute resolution institution covers all disputes in the financial field. The New Financial ADR system is merely one step towards a foundation of comprehensive financial ADR such as FOS. It must be noted, however, that this all important first step was over seven years in the making, involving a great deal of discussion, debate, and compromise amongst many parts of Japanese government, business, and society. The New Financial ADR system grants participating parties the ability to stop the clock on any statute of limitations which may correspond to any future possible court cases related to the dispute,13 and further grants the ability to suspend related court proceedings while the parties are utilizing the New Financial ADR system. In addition, where financial institutions have not accepted dispute resolution proceedings or have not accepted a special conciliation proposal, the Ministry of Finance may issue an order compelling compliance if it is found that certain actions are necessary to ensure the appropriate operations of a financial institution's business. In Japan, as best practices have not yet been created.

Fatigue and Fatigue-regulation Behavior in Hemodialysis Patients (혈액투석 환자의 피로와 피로조절행위)

  • This study was performed to examine the relationship between fatigue and fatigue-regulation behavior in Hemodialysis(HD) patients. Methods: The subjects for this study were 107 patients on HD who were registered in a hospital in Seoul. The data were collected from August 2 to August 14, 2010. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Results: The mean score of fatigue was 77.1 which means their experience of high level fatigue. Frequency of the fatigue-regulation behavior and the mean of efficiency of the fatigue-regulation behavior was 8.8 and 22.8. Positive correlation was found between fatigue and fatigue-regulation behavior (r=.45, p=.000). Conclusion: It is considered that the study emphasizes for the healthcare providers to recognize fatigue as the important nursing issue for HD patients. And it is necessary to develop an evidence-based nursing intervention program for regulating fatigue in HD patients.

A Study on the Revitalization of Private Mediation System - Lessons from the Italy's recent Via-Mediation mechanism - (민간형 조정제도 활성화에 관한 연구 - 이태리의 '완화된' 조정전치주의 도입을 중심으로 -)

  • As our society and industry develop, disputes are becoming ever more complicated and diversified to the point that it is alleged that dispute resolution by court proceedings has certain limits and setbacks. Therefore, it is commonly suggested that mediation by a qualified mediator should come as an alternative method, and there have been many attempts to establish and provide mediation service in the courts and government authorities. To comply with a party's autonomy, which is the essential basis of mediation, and to promote the use of mediation, it is highly recommended that private mediation, rather than court-driven or administrative mediation, shall take the initiative. In the meantime, despite a number of academic research and attempts to increase the awareness and use of mediation nationwide, we have not yet seen meaningful developments due to the longstanding misunderstanding and discredit of mediation. In contrast, Italy has begun to revitalize mediation by enacting 'Legislative Decree No. 28/2020' following the 'Directive 2008/52EC' of the European Parliament and encouraging the so-called via-mediation policy. It is acknowledged to have significantly contributed to the development of private mediation in Italy and the increased use of mediation as a dispute resolution method. It shall be particularly noted that Italy's mediation proceedings have certain traits, including preliminary mediation meetings, mandatory involvement of legal counsel, and tax benefits for the settled cases by mediation. Italy's efforts would provide people with meaningful lessons and perspectives. As society strives to promote private mediation to distribute and utilize the judicial resources' inefficient ways, institutions need to develop practical measures to increase the number of civil and commercial disputes in the mediation proceedings. To that end, legislative efforts to enact relevant laws necessary to provide incentives to disputing parties and establish integrated education and certification programs to train qualified mediators need to start soon.

A Study on Dispute Resolution Procedures under the German Consumer Alternative Dispute Resolution Act (독일의 대체적 소비자분쟁해결법상 분쟁해결 절차에 관한 연구 -분쟁조정인의 법적 지위와 역할을 중심으로-)

  • The legal integration in the European Union that seeks a unified system in consumer disputes and the German Consumer Dispute Mediation Act based on this pursues the procedural fairness of consumer disputes and the equality of results. The role and legal status of the dispute mediator, who plays a very important role in this process, and the stable operation of the dispute resolution system and the guarantee of reasonable results through the guarantee of fairness and independence are very important values. In particular, the dispute mediator under the Act is conceptually different from the existing mediator or mediator, and through this distinction, the duties and contents of the dispute mediator are also distinguished. For this reason, the qualifications of dispute mediators that affect the outcome of dispute mediation are strictly stipulated. There have been some criticisms of this strictness, and such strictness is also seen as an excessive limitation. However, these standards can be understood as one of the efforts to make the dispute mediation procedure more systematic and to operate objectively in accordance with laws and procedures. In addition, in relation to the issue of independence and impartiality of the dispute mediator, the status of the dispute mediator is guaranteed in various aspects. In economic terms, it is not influenced by external factors, and furthermore, in order to guarantee job stability, the results of job security and dispute resolution are not linked. By examining the appropriate level of discipline for these dispute mediators, we expect the developmental growth of the consumer dispute resolution system under our Act.

Sensory Integration and Occupational Therapy for Elementary Students Collaborative Group Program : Implementing School AMPS (초등학생집단 다전문가 협업프로그램에서의 School AMPS 분석을 통한 작업치료와 감각통합접근의 의미)

  • Objective : This is a descriptive study using a program review collaborative group program by special educator and occupational therapist for supporting children's school tasks, and it is designed to explore how changed school performance skills and to analyze how applied intervention methods including sensory integrative approach. Methods : Participants were 6 male elementary students(5 = 1st grade, 1 = 2nd grade). Pilot program had reviewed and its results used as base for planning main program. Main program was implemented by collaborative process with teacher and occupational therapist for 1 year. School AMPS was used to assess school task participants, and informal motor and process skill observation was used to assess self-help activities. Description of records by professions about intervention strategies through assessments was described as qualitative way. Japanese sensory inventory was used by parents. Results : Through the collaborative process, assessing children, planning and modifying program, establishing intervention strategies were implemented. Self-help abilities in group program were increased much more independently. School task abilities were increased slightly but skills changed irregularly and unexpectedly and their reasons became considered more complex from sensory processing reasons to social and emotional reasons. Conclusion : Sensory integration had benefits for primary group program and more complex intervention strategies became to emerge demands for person- environment-task challenges. Collaborative practice with teacher and occupational therapist was supplement and synergic effect for children and group dynamics. More objective and comprehensive methods for measure collaboration and group effect would be needed in further study.
