複合構造의 結合

  • 복합재료를 이용하여 부품제작을 한 후 어떠한 결합방법을 채택할 것인가를 결정할 때 고려해 야할 점을 기계적 결합법과 접착결합법을 비교하여 검토하였다. 기계적 결합은 하중을 많이 받고 분해 및 결합이 자주 예상되는 부품에 채택해야 할 것이며 복합재료의 특성을 고려하여 보강 시에 부착하는 평판의 섬유방향은 가급적 드릴구멍주위를 부드럽게 하여 응력집중을 낮출 수 있으며 하중의 종류에 따라 적층의 섬유방향을 조절함으로서 응력집중을 조절할 수 있다. 드릴 구멍 주위인 파손은 평판의 폭과 구멍의 직경등이 크게 작용함으로 강도해석을 할 경우에 응력 해석을 한 후 허용응력등을 결정해야할 것이다. 접착졀합법은 작업이 간단하나 신뢰도가 떨어지 므로 하중을 많이 받는 구조물에의 사용에 주의를 요하며 설계방법도 매우 다양하게 제안되어 있어 선택함에 있어 하중 환경조건등을 점검해야할 것이다. 접착결합법은 드릴구멍같은 불연속 성을 갖지 않기 때문에 응력집중이 생기지 않으나 접착층의 길이등 기하학적 형상에 따라 다르게 나타남으로 잡착층의 분리가 일어나지 않도록 설계되어야 한다. 특히 복합재료의 이방성인 성 질을 감안하여 접착층에 이웃하는 피접착층의 섬유방향에 주의해야 하며 층간응력이 파손에 미 치는 영향을 고려하여 설계에 임해야 한다.

Mechanical Properties and Degradability of Degradable Polyethylene Films Containing Crosslinked Potato Starch (가교결합 감자 전분을 함유한 분해성 polyethylene 필름의 기계적 성질 및 분해 특성)

  • Potato starches were crosslinked with 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0% epichlorohydrin. Starch/polyethylene(PE) cast films were prepared to contain 5% of the crosslinked potato starch. Mechanical properties and degradability of these films were measured and compared to those of the films containing native potato starch. Mechanical strength of the films containing crosslinked potato starch was higher than that of the film containing native starch. Thermal degradability measured by a FT-IR and an Instron showed that crosslinked starch/PE films degraded faster than native starch/PE films. Biodegradability of the starch/PE films was accelerated by the addition of crosslinked starch to the PE films.

  • This study is to apply the mechanical press joining method to join two kinds of sheet metals with circular holes by mechanical pressing instead of laser beam. Usage of the mechanical pressing avoids the thermal deformation of sheet metals which occurs inevitably in laser joining. A die design has been proposed to make the mechanical press joining applicable with finite element analysis. Five design factors related to the joining force have been selected and applied to the Taguchi method for optimization. Among five factors, 'Forming Depth' and 'Punch Corner Radius' have been revealed to be the most influential ones.

Effects of Thermal and Mechanical Fatigue Stress on Bond Strength in Bracket Base Configurations (열적, 기계적 피로응력이 교정용 브라켓의 결합강도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of mechanical and thermal fatigue stress on the shear, tensile and shear-tensile combined bond strengths(SBS, TBS, CBS) in various orthodontic brackets bonded to human premolars with chemically cured adhesive(Ortho-one, Bisco, USA). Five types of commercially available metal brackets with various bracket base configurations of Photoetched base(Tomy, Japan), Non-Etched Foil Mesh base(Dentaurum, Germany), Micro-Etched Foil Mesh base(Ortho Organizers, USA), Chessboard base(Daesung, Korea), and Integral base(3M Unitek, USA) were used. Samples were divided into 3 groups, the first group was acted with shear-tensile combined loads($45^{\circ}$) of 200g for 4 weeks(mechanical fatigue stress), the second group was subjected to the 5,000 thermocycles of 15 second dwell time each in $5^{\circ}C\;and\;55^{\circ}C$ baths(thermal fatigue stress), and the third group was the control. Bond strengths were measured at the crosshead speed of 0.5mm/min. The cross-section of bracket base/adhesive interface and the fracture surface were examined with the stereoscope and the scanning electron microscope. The resin remnant on bracket base surface was assessed by ART(Adhesive Remnant Index). The obtained results were summarized as follows, 1. In static bond strength, Photoetched base bracket showed the maximum bond strength and Integral base bracket showed the minimum bond strength(p<0.05). In all brackets, shear bond strength(SBS) was in the greatest value and shear-tensile combined strength(CBS) was in the least value(p<0.05). 2. After mechanical fatigue test, Photoetched base bracket showed the maximum bond strength and Integral base bracket showed the minimum bond strength(p<0.05).   • An investigation was performed to study the predicting the joint strength of mechanical fasteners. Bearing failure is most important failure mode for designing joint. So in this study, the prediction method in consideration with bearing failure was chosen. In the proposed method, the characteristic length is combined with the Yamada-Sun failure criterion, Tsai-Hill failure criterion and characteristic length for Tension and Compression is determined from investigation. Especially the length of compression is determined from the "bearing failure test" that newly conceived to take bearing failure into consideration. The proposed prediction method was applied to quasi-isotropic carbon/epoxy joint showing net-tension and bearing failure experimentally. Good agreement was found between the predicted and experimental result for each joint geometry. geometry.

이중층 압전변압기의 특성

  • 2중층 압전변압기를 공진주파수로 동작시키면 부하저항이 클수록 전압비가 커지고 부하저항의 변동에 대하여도 안정되며, 특히 무부하시의 전압비는 전기기계결합계수의 제곱과 기계적 품질계수의 곱에 비례하고, 또 그 크기나 형상에는 관계없으므로 설계시 제약이 적은 장점이 있다. 한편 이 변압기의 공진주파수는 압전진동자의 직력공지주파수에 크게 의존하고, 진동자의 고정용량, 전기기계결합계수, 절연판의 정전용량 등에 의해서도 영향을 받으며, 부하저항이 큰 경우의 공진주파수는 부하저항의 변동에 대하여 안정됨을 알 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 2중층 압전변압기를 이용하여 높은 전압비를 얻으려면, 변압기를 전기기계 결합계수와 기계적 품질계수가 큰 압접진동자로 제작하고, 또 그 변압기를 저항이 큰 부하에서 공진주파수로 동작시키는 것이 바람직하다.

  • 본 연구에서 matrix간의 계면 결합력을 불리하게 작용하는 Wax성분이나 Lignin, Hemi-Cellulose등의 제거를 위해 화학적 개질방법중인 NaOH, Acetic acid, Silane으로 처리하여 기질 고분자의 계면의 영향을 알아보고 SEM을 이용하여 형태학적 변화와 열적특성 변화를 관찰하였다. 형태학적 변화에서는 NaOH, Acetic acid 처리보다 Silane처리가 계면결합력이 증가하여 기계적 물성이 증가되었다는 것을 볼수 있었고, 열분석에서는 NaOH, Acetic acid, Silanec 처리가 유사하게 나타났지만, 복합재를 전처리하지 않은것보다 기질고분자와 천연섬유간의 계면 결합은 전처리하는 것이 결합에 있어서 좋다는 결과를 확인하였다.

  • Acupuncture is a treatment method that originated more than 3,000 years ago in China and is practiced in most of the world. Acupuncture became the most popular complementary and alternative medicine modality. Ultrasound is useful for research and educational purposes, visualizing needle insertion at acupuncture points, especially next to vulnerable structures such as nerves or the pleura. Additionally, ultrasound is an ideal imaging method for evaluation the biomechanical effects of needle manipulation on tissue and has the distinctive advantage of yielding both images of tissue morphology and biomechanical information. Elastography take aim at quantifying a mechanical response or the mechanical property of tissues from a mechanical stimulus, generated internally or externally. Therefore, the combination of ultrasound and elastography analyses allows quantitative assessment of dynamic changes in the structure of human connective tissue.

  • The commercial cermet cutting tools consist of multi-carbide and a binder metal of iron group, such as cobalt and nickel which are ferromagnetic. In this paper, a new approach to evaluate the mechanical properties of TiCN based cermet by magnetic properties were studied in relation to binder content and sintering conditions. The experimental cermet was prepared using commercial composition with the other binder contents by PM process. It was found that the magnetic properties of the sintered cermets remarkably depended on the microstructure and the total carbon content. The magnetic saturation was proportional to increment of coercive force. At high carbon content in sintered cermet, the magnetic saturation was increased by decreasing the concentration of solutes such as W, Mo, Ti in Co-Ni binder. As the coercive force increases, the hardness usually increases. The strength and toughness of the cermet also increased with increasing the magnetic saturation. The measurement of magnetic properties made it possible to evaluate the mechanical properties in the cermet cutting tools.
