Analysis of Application Status of Process-Centered Assessment in Elementary School Science Classes (초등학교 과학 수업에서 과정중심평가 적용 실태 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze application status about the process-centered assessment in elementary school science classes. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 133 teachers and 2,089 students in elementary schools, and in-depth interviews with eight teachers were conducted. Elementary school teachers had a positive attitude toward the adoption of the process-centered assessment of 2015 revised science curriculum. After applying 2015 revised science curriculum, teachers used more performance assessments and less traditional ones in science classes. Elementary school students recognized that they receive feedbacks from their teachers more often with the implementation of the 2015 revised science curriculum. Through in-depth interviews, it was possible to confirm the difficulty of applying the process-centered assessment of elementary school teachers, such as lack of understanding of process-centered assessment and lack of time for its application. Based on the results of the study, the necessity for improving teacher understanding of process-centered assessment and the need to disseminate process-centered assessment materials are suggested.

  • This study investigated the effect of visual mathematics education using smartphones and immediate feedback through SNS on students' understanding of basic mathematical concept and academic achievement at the tertiary level. Researchers analyzed the test results of 214 students' mid-term and final examination in 4 classes consisted of 16 weeks' classes with two hours per week. Also their 30 questionnaire survey results were analyzed. The result reveals that classes using smartphones promoted understanding mathematical concepts and induced students' motivation and affirmative reaction. This study implies that an appropriate use of technology will support dynamic visualization of mathematical modeling and its interpretation, which enables students' active participation and deeper understanding.

  • 사용성의 주관적인 판단기준으로써 재미(Fun)라는 요소는 사용성 지각에 있어 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다는 논의는 제기된 반면 개념자체의 모호성과 객관적인 측정의 어려움으로 인해 실증적인 연구가 많이 이루어지지 못했다. 재미와 관련된 기존의 연구들은 시각적인 요인에만 국한되었다. Shneiderman(2004)은 재미를 설계하기 위한 5가지 fun-feature 중 하나로 만족스러운 소리(satisfying sound)를 제시하였는데, 시각적인 요인 못지않게 청각적인 요소는 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용에서 사용자에게 과제를 적절하게 수행해나가고 있는지에 대한 하나의 피드백으로도 작용할 수 있고, 즐거움을 줄 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 승차권 자동발매기를 중심으로 소리의 유무와 소리의 재미수준이 사용성에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 소리가 없는 조건, 재미없는 소리 조건, 재미있는 소리 조건에 따라 사용성을 다르게 지각할 것이라고 가정하였다. 또한 모형의 사용성 수준이 매개 변인으로 작용할 수 있다고 보고 사용하기 좋은 모형과 좋지 않은 모형 두 가지를 제시하였다. 참가자들은 두 가지 모형에 대해 각각의 소리조건에 따라 과제를 수행하고 모형과 소리 조건에 대해 집단 면접을 실시하였다. 실험 결과 재미있는 소리조건에서는 정답률이 다른 소리 조건들에 비해 더 높았으며 총클릭수는 더 적었다. 면접 결과에서는 좋지 않은 모형에 재미있는 소리는 긍정적으로 인식되지 않음을 발견하였다. 이는 Davis(1992)가 사용성이 뒷받침 되지 않은 상황에서 재미는 긍정적인 요인으로 작용하지 않는다는 주장을 지지한다. 본 연구는 재미의 한 구성 요소인 소리를 통해서 사용성에 있어 재미가 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다는 것과 사용성을 전제하지 않은 것에 있어 재미요소의 적용은 부정적으로 인식될 수 있다는 점을 제안하였다.

  • Today, large enterprises are changing their team organization to group organization. These trends have brought work flexibility of project and manpower usage. However, communication among group members has become more complicated, and it has been found that ERP was not efficient enough to solve this communication problem. The main purpose of this study was to design a quick and systematic communication system for group project management, and Web-based Information Reporting System (hence forth WIRS) has been proposed. The main topics covered in this paper are design of functions and system architecture, process model design, database design, and implementation of the prototype. Focus group interview was conducted and user feedback was positive about main functions for WIRS and its overall impact on the enhancement of productivity.

  • Computer programming education gives students a chance to use computers independently and actively. This plays a very positive role in acquiring higher cognitive skills such as mathematical skills and creative logical thinking. Thus the purpose of this study is to measure the degrees of students' problem-solving abilities using MCU programming kits based on the ICT Education Guide. The experiment confirms that programming classes using MCU kits have a more positive effect on the students problem-solving abilities than do those using the existing computer textbooks. The sub-constituents of problem-solving abilities - problem recognition, information gathering, analysis, diffuse thinking, decision-making, planning, execution, evaluation and feedback - also show significant statistical differences. Therefore, we can conclude that programming classes using MCU kits are very effective in advancing problem-solving abilities.

  • This study examines the changes in learners' positive/negative perceptions of classroom experience and actual utilisation of AI chatbots in response to the recent changes in education trends caused by generative AI. AI chatbots were utilised in web programming classes for six classes of engineering students over two semesters. The learners' experience and usage were analysed from the beginning of the semester through surveys until the submission of midterm and final examination reports. The study's results indicate that the chatbot enhanced learning by providing Q/A feedback and solving practical problems. Additionally, the perception of the chatbot improved from midterm to the end of the course. The study also drew meaningful conclusions about the issue of community disconnection (personalisation) in the classroom and how to use it as educational software. This research is significant for the development of generative AI-based software.

  • The following research investigates core factors required for IT professionals to achieve and remain happy on their jobs through dynamic and structural CLD and suggests personal, organizational, and government level (happiness) promoting factors. Researcher adopted the system dynamics methodology which is qualitative research techniques pursue behavior probability by using CLD. It spotlights 6 CLD: job satisfaction, organizational commitment, positive sensitivity, negative sensitivity, amicable relationship, job sustainment intention, in addition to numerous factors that affect them from an integrative perspective. It differentiates itself from one-way relationship focused qualitative research to an advanced mutual and realistic perspective exploratory research.

  • Capacity of making assessment items among teacher's assessment competency is essential element in validity and reliability of assessment. Errors in test items on the formal and content aspects can be a big stumbling block to derive a correct evaluation result. Through this assessment, the positive feedback can not be derived. In this study, By analyzing midterm and final 60 exam papers for geometry and vector in 45 high Schools of Seoul GyeonggiIncheon area, We argue error items and improvements on the formal and content aspect the paper-based assessment of mathematics. Through this, Our intention is to improve the skills of teachers for making assessment items.

  • This study proposes community based web service for contents providers and web designers to provide user-centered approach on Wordpress theme search and customizstion process. The contents and structure of theme information is analyzed and online communities on programming and Wordpress are studied to development of community based, theme contents service scenario. As a result, I launched 'Themettack' web service, I took beta testing with 20 users for 2 weeks, and found that theme template image and ideal theme contest services are the most satisfactory experiences. Various community contents which tested in this study and user participation data provided proper directions of Wordpress theme service as open source platform.

  • 멀티캐스트 서비스는 한 단말이 수신 그를 내의 여러 단말들에게 같은 내용의 데이터 패킷을 전송하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 단일 채널 다중 접속 무선 LAN(Wireless LAN)의 작은 셀 환경을 기반으로 효율적 인 멀티캐스트 서비스에 대한 방안을 제안한다. 이 시스템에서 이동 단말들이 동시에 하나 이상의 패킷을 전송하는 경우 패킷 충돌(collision)이 발생하여 수신단말은 정확하게 패킷을 수신할 수 업다. 그러므로 하나의 단말만이 전송을 해야 한다. 이와 같은 문제점 때문에 신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트 서 비스를 위해서는 단일 채널 다중 접속 방법을 그리고 무선 링크의 높은 에러율을 극복하기 위해서는 재전송 기법(ARQ)을 고려해야 한다. 제안하는 MLBP(modified Leader-Based Protocol)는 멀티캐스트 그룹 내에서 리더(leader)를 선정하고 이 리더가 송신단말에게 피드백 정보를 대표로 전송하는 역할을 수행한다. 신뢰성 확보를 위해서는 에러가 있는 패킷을 리더 외의 단말들이 수신 했을 경우에 재전송을 유도하기 위해 리더는 긍정응답(ACK) 패킷을 전송하지 않고 침묵한다. 리더 외의 단말이 에러가 있는 패킷을 수신했을 경우 각 단말들은 지체 없이 부정 응답(NAK)을 전송하여 이를 수신하는 단말에서 패킷 충돌을 유발시키고 재전송을 유도한다. 기존의 지연응답(delayed feedback) 방법과 확률적 방법을 사용한 기법들을 분석하여 측정 한 성능을 비교한 결과 제안하는 mLBP이 다른 두 기 법보다 우수한 성능을 나타냄을 보인다.
