A Study on the Improvement of the Shift Pattern for Field Employees in Busan Container Terminal (부산항 컨테이너터미널 현장인력의 교대근무제 현황 및 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the effective method to improve the competitive power in the Busan container terminal. To achieve this, we analyzed the present of the shift pattern in the container terminal, and identified the problems in the pattern. This study shows the issues of shift pattern for field employee in Busan container terminal and also improvement plan to solve them. We suggested two approaches as an effective approach; the flexible use of employees through overtime, use of workers pool among terminals, and outsourcing; the promotion of welfare by leisure, fitness, and community service.

Factors Influencing Nursing Service Quality of Nurses in Long Term Care Hospitals (요양병원 간호사의 간호 서비스 질 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting nursing service quality for nursing hospital nurses and An attempt was made to confirm the correlation between nursing work environment, human-centered care, and work stress on nurses in nursing hospital. The data was collected using questionnaire filled out by 129 nurses at nursing hospitals in G city area from August 20 to September 10, 2019. As a result of the study, factors influencing the quality of nursing services among nursing hospital nurses were married, Practice Environment of Nursing Work, and human-centered care. Based on these results, hospital management will need to make efforts to improve the organizational system to create a desirable nursing working environment in nursing hospital.

  • It is very essential to recruit professional teachers for Gifted Education because the main goals of this school are focusing on the highly advanced technical science fields, enhancing self study and research environment which leads to develop self-directed learning and creative learning. The purpose of this study is to improve of the current Gifted Education Action Law For Teacher Recruitment in Gifted Education. The results of this study are follows; 1. Establishment of Standards for Teachers' Qualification in Gifted Education To recruit professional teachers, they are studied to use the current Gifted Education Action Law and to converse the legal position of Busan Science Academy 2. Developing Professionalism and Improving Conditions of Employment To gualify for Gifted Education, it is necessary to developing professionalism and improving conditions of employment. To provide long-term training and a sabbatical year for research. To make able teachers teach in a school longer than other teachers if teachers agree to it. To pay research funds for teachers for gifted education. To give advantage for gifted teachers in promotion. As the result of study, it has been systemized the standards of recruiting qualified teachers of the Science School for Gifted, has been proposed the ways of developing specialty of teachers and working conditions.

A Comparative Study on Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention according to the Type of Shift Work Preferred by Female Nurses (여성 간호사의 근무형태 선호도에 따른 조직몰입 및 이직의도 비교연구)

  • This study was performed to improve the working conditions of female nurses by comparing their organizational commitment and turnover intention according to the type of work shift they prefer. This study is a descriptive survey study, and data were collected by conducting an online survey of 465 female nurses working in three shifts at seven medical institutions. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 24.0 in a χ2 test, a two-sample independent t-test, a pearson correlation and MANCOVA. The result shows that the group of nurses preferring fixed work shift had higher organizational commitment at higher ages and had higher turnover intention if they had an experience of transferring to another medical institution. The study also found that the group that prefers fixed work shift had lower organizational commitment and higher turnover intention than the group of nurses preferring shift work. The nursing department in hospital should strive to improve the working environment in female nurses by developing various types of work, with an aim to increase the organizational commitment of female nurses preferring fixed work and reduce their turnover.

  • The quality of service provided by Vessel Traffic Services depends on the tasks characteristics and the work environment of Vessel Traffic Service operators. In this paper, the working conditions of Vessel Traffic Service operators are analyzed in order to propose methods to improve the working environment of Vessel Traffic Services and to provide high quality service through them. The questionnaire survey was conducted for Vessel Traffic Service operators working at 20 Vessel Traffic Service centers. It is expected that it might be used as the basic data for improvement of work environment and organization of Vessel Traffic Service center in the future.

도선의 안전성 향상을 위한 도선사의 근무 연한에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 도선사의 근무 연한이 도선의 안전성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 도선사의 근무 연한에 영향을 주는 요인에 대해 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 우선, 지난 10년간 도선사의 진입연령 추이를 통해 해마다 약 0.3년씩 신규 도선사의 고령화가 진행되고 근무 연한 또한 줄어들고 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 도선사의 근무 연한이 짧아져서 전문 인력의 활용도가 떨어지고 도선의 안전성에도 악영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 도선사의 근무 연한에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 요인인 도선사 면허시험 응시요건과 승무경력가산점 그리고 도선사의 정년에 대하여 상세히 분석하였다. 따라서 도선사의 근무 연한에 영향을 미치는 이러한 요인들에 대하여 정책적으로 개선한다면 도선의 안전성을 향상시키고 나아가 아름다운 우리나라의 항만을 깨끗하고 안전하게 지킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
