This study links the concept and implications of the anthropocene to the humanistic functionalism of Scandinavian design. Since the Industrial Revolution, the direction of modern design has been centered on the standardization of mechanical products and functionalism aimed at standardization. This is based on the human-centered dual idea of human and nature. But Scandinavian countries have developed humanistic functionalist designs, with exceptions emphasizing human organic relationships to nature instead of dual thinking. This is believed to be in line with the anthropocene discourse, which envisions the emergence of a new level of humanity and the regeneration of the natural environment under the banner of equality for all species on Earth. In this paper, the discussion was embodied in a way that combines the wide range of anthropocene discourses with the major issues of posthuman and postnature, which are the latest human and natural views. And we have selected and analyzed examples of modern Scandinavian designs focused on the circulatory potential of materials, and have sought the direction of trends suitable for the anthropocene era.

Through academic-industrial collaboration program, special knowledge and human resources in the university are utilized in the society and it may contribute to the development of industry and enhance the competitiveness of the corporation to the activation and acceleration of the regional economy and finally to the enhancement of competitiveness of national industry in international level. This study is based upon design process for the development of body-shower product for bath room, and expected to be used as an important educational material for establishment of order-based education system which conforms to the job site needs that may be analysed from feedback of product results and for practical learning.

Choice and use of color are very important field for designer. Present color sprang by central field of design business unlike past. Color is used mainly by three fields of sensitivity, administration, mind. But, do substantial design including all of three fields at use. Practical research field that is based on basic research when see as actuality of domestic color design is been behind real condition. Specially, color sensitivity field and color management field are very important field, it can speak that color name arid related area are most important among two. Because collar name includes sensitivity and color management. This research constructs correct data because investigate and analyze and search all compatible color names that is announced in existing or is recorded in public cosmopolitanly. As a result, it is to promise accuracy when produce creation of idea and result of design using color name. Examined laying stress on color that domestic data that is used in research is basis with Korean industrial Standard, connection literature, on-the-spot probe. International data investigated American ISCC-NBS to base. Other abroad color name data examined official data of each country all systematically with Japan, Europe. Findings about 11,000 basis color names and 33,000 application color names sorted collection. Collection method and classification system follow in international standard and arranged for user's tile convenience. Also, use frequency did laying stress on Munsell that is high color system so that can aid in industrial design business. Improved to write all international standard color values sue as RGB, CMYK, XYZ and can be applied all in each field of design. Is applying and get along with continuation improvement and development in homepage of present KIDP, it may become more worth research.

Typography is very important for the delivery of information and for its aesthetic functions, typography focuses on facilitating faster and easier legibility for audience in modern society. But analysis for pre-studies for typography are limited in trend in the center of Kinetic Typography, dissolution of typography and territory extend as well as its typography analyzed by plastic arts aspects to acutely requiring expressing strategy and study based on typographic theory in working-level are insufficient. This study is to apply systematic theory to typography in order to suggest guidelines for increasing utility of typography for graphic design. It presents case studies, organized by theme, focusing on graphic design artworks featured in world-renowned specialty publications like the Creative 38 Annual Awards during 2008 and 2009. For practical help to designers engaged in various projects, it also suggests practical tactics for development that may enhance creative strategies in the creation of designs adopting typography. This study offers systematic usage methods of typography to the practical graphic designers and expected to contribute to the development of graphic designs that stimulate the visual senses of their audiences.

This study aims at investigating the influences exerted by the visual elements of outdoor signboard on consumers' capacity to make judgment on values. Therefore, it intends at studying the values displayed by signboards. As the phase one of the investigation, on-site study has been performed to photograph signboards of the entertainment and amusement business premises in 4 regions of Busan, thus to investigate and analysis the photographed data. For the second phase, survey was peformed on the basis of the analyzed data to select 15 signboards to be used in making judgement of values based on results of frequency measure per each category of geographical region, business type and three grades of the high, medium and low. In the third phase, survey was peformed on the items of value (A-G) to analyze consumer values. Finally, the fourth phase was carried out to compare and analyze the actual values of business premisses against that of the consumers. The result of study displayed that the effect exerted by visual elements of signboards on consumers is not of simple information provision, but is of essential factor to serve as the foundation of added values for business premises.

The eyeS of human beings are the very interesting objects of research, which were believed to do deliver any meanings without direct words and also to represent best description of key characteristics of humans than any other parts in the body. With respect to this hypothesis on eyes, the study of various expressions of eyes is the fascinating research topic in the area of optical design which is deeply connected to the figurative images. Traditionally, physiognomy was settled by many Koreans to become one of the branches of discourses. Physiognomy has been developed through the statistical summaries of life patterns of various kinds 'of science based on the results of systematical analysis. This research was focused on elucidating the relationship between the consumers' perception and the image of eyes which were thought to be the most important sign emitted from the body of human beings. Furthermore, study was conducted to derive a practical usage from the research results if above relationship was showed to be true. It was unveiled that the considerable close relationship was established with small errors and that eye's image was compensated and enhanced with the help of lip's image to obtain more perfect image. As a result, it was concluded that the rationales of phtsiognomy could assist to choose figures as a figurative image. (Keyword)

세계 경제가 고도성장에 따른 산업구조의 변화를 갖게 되었고, 의학기술의 발달로 건강한 고령자의 증가가 나타나는 사회 현상이 나타나게 되었다. 우리나라 역시 65세 이상의 건강한 고령인구의 증가 추세와 고령화 사회로의 진입이 현실화 되고 있다. 또 급속한 핵가족화 등으로 인하여 가족 내의 노인부양 기능이 약화되고 있으며, 건강한 노인 단독세대가 급증함에 따라 해당 관련 복지의 구체적인 정책 실천방향에 대한 요구와 신체적, 사회 심리적 특성에 따른 힐링 환경의 개발요구가 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 인류 건강증진 개념 및 고찰을 통해 힐링 환경의 공간특성을 도출하고, 이를 통하여 보다 질적으로 향상된 건강한 주거환경을 제시하고자 하는데 그 의미가 있다. 본 논문에 있어서의 공간에 의한 인류 건강증진은 1. 건강과 질병은 하나의 스펙트럼 상에 놓여 있으며, 한편은 최상의 건강 상태이며 다른 한편은 질병에 의한 사망이라는 개념에 의미를 둔다. 2. 병, 의학 전문가 관점에서 건강을 증진시키는 과정에 중심을 두고 있는 새로운 치료적 환경에 대한 혁신적인 패러다임을 주지하는 입장에서, 안녕(healing)을 양성하는 공간 특성을 도출 개념이다. 3. 환경변화에 적응하는 역동적 건강개념에 그 근거를 두고, "건강은 단순히 무 질병의 개념이 아니라 신체적, 정신적, 문화적 에다가 영적으로 완전한 안녕 상태"라는 개념을 적용한다. 4. 특히, 병, 의학 전문가 관점으로 인해 간과되었던 대상자의 공간으로부터 얻게 되는 심리적, 사회적, 정신적 요구들을 반영하는 안녕(healing) 개념의 힐링 철학의 개념을 갖는다.

With the recent increasing interest in preventive medicine, observation has been made regarding the positive relationship between a routinized place that includes activity and health improvement. This study evaluates the effective value of a designed landscape for seeing a healing environment and sees the difference of the effective value of classified physical settings regarding Evidence Based Design. Therefore, the study evaluates the perceived restorativeness scale of Cheonggyceheon's 1.5km section and five type settings in the same section regarding how much it works as a healthy urban park. The research methodology used to study sub-settings' and the research site's restoration effects was observation and questionnaires. A PRS (Perceived Restorativeness Scale) questionnaire survey was the research tool employed. The study drew two major results. Firstly, PRS 6.12 is the score of the whole research site, so the study identifies that Cheonggycheon has a mental fatigue restoration function. Secondly, the sub-setting named 'Near Sidewall' was the most attention restorative, according to the ANOVA results. In conclusion, this study suggests significant information support regarding the reasons for creating green areas in urban settings by identifying a particular designed healing sit.

The contingency theory of leadership was proposed by F. Fiedler. In his theory, he divided the group into Task oriented and Relationship-oriented people based on work-style by LPC(Least Preffered Co-workers) test. This survey searches significance of interaction usage depending on which group has more aggressive interaction on the address list with mobile phones focusing on the differences between mainfunctions (name, cell phone, group name) and sub-functions (birthday, Photo, E-mail). Itis the hypothesis that the relationship-oriented group has more interaction than the task-oriented group which was identified through the analyzed usage of the address list. Results show that the contingency theory was not appropriately related with the research. Interaction usage by the following task based on Fiedler's contingency theory of leadership isn't related much. However, by discovering the interesting patterns by the test, this research is able to guide human-centered address design directions.

The act of design in landscape architecture consists of a concept within a designer's mind, technical representations, and finally, a process of construction. In the 4th Industrial Revolution, the design process is facing many changes due to the rapid development of computer technology and the IT ecosystem. Computer technology was initially developed for simple functions, such as mathematical calculation and graphic representation. However, after the spread of Personal Computers, starting with IBM and Macintosh, programming languages and hardware rapidly developed, algorithms and applications became specialized, and the purpose of using computers became very diverse. This study diagnoses issues concerning the functions and roles that new design methods, such as computational design, parametric design, and algorithmic design, can play in landscape architecture based on changes in the digital society. The study focused on the design methodology using parametric technology, which has recently received the most attention. First, the basis for discussion was developed by examining the main concepts and characteristics of parametric design in modern landscape architecture. Prior research on the use of parametric design in landscape architecture was analyzed, as were the case studies conducted by landscape design firms. As a result, it was confirmed that parametric design has not been sufficiently discussed in terms of the number and diversity of studies compared to other techniques investigated by landscape design firms. Finally, based on the discussion, the study examined specific cases and future possibilities of the parametric design in landscape architecture.
