Study of the Experience Process in Action Learning for Fostering Essential competency of University Students -Grounded Theory Approach- (대학생의 핵심역량 육성을 위한 Action Learning에서의 경험과정 연구 -근거이론 접근-)

  • In order to live up to public expectations, universities dedicate their best efforts to cultivating all Essential Competencies for outstanding individuals, especially reorganizing and improving their general education curricula and methods of teaching and learning, in light of the fact that a cutting-edge technology in a specific field does not bear a long span in the modern society. Through a Grounded Theory approach, the aim of this research is to study undergraduates' Experience Process of Action Learning designed to foster their Essential Competencies. With broadly selected 15 students from the courses for Essential Competencies, the method of theoretical sampling was employed so as to secure the diversity of the subjects' characteristics and backgrounds. After in-depth interviews, the data from the subjects were analyzed on the basis of Grounded theory approach of Strauss and Corbin. The conclusions of this analysis are as follows; Firstly, a learning coach should play a different role depending on the levels of Action Learning. Secondly, some time for introspection should be taken for the effective operation of Action Learning. Thirdly, learners ought to solve the problems faced during the learning process on their own. Fourthly, the aims of courses for Essential Competencies are also needed to be focused.

Model Development for the Spatial Diffusion Effect Estimation of Nodal Accessibility Increment in the Subway Network (지하철 접근성 증가의 공간적 파급효과 산출모형 개발)

  • It is likely that the spatial structure of the intraurban accessibility as well as the accessibility value of each of the nodes in the subway network is affected by the addition of new linkages. The changes in the accessibility at individual nodes also affect the accessibility in the surrounding areas at some distances away from the nodes. Graph-theoretic algorithms have been developed as a proper measurement scheme for the nodal accessibility in tracked transport networks such as subway networks. However, the graph-theoretic measurements have limitations to estimate the spatial diffusion effect on the surrounding areas. This study proposes a new model for the spatial diffusion effect estimation of nodal accessibility increment in the subway network toward the surrounding areas. Since the distance decay trend of subway station use reflect the spatial diffusion effect of the accessibility of subway station toward the surrounding area. The model is deduced from the subway station use density function which is formulated by the questionnaire survey data.

  • 혼돈이론은 불규칙하다고 간주하고, 통계적접근 방법이외의 분석적방법의 접근이 어려웠던 시스템들에 대하여서 새로운 접근 방법을 제공하여주며, 보다 많은 시스템에 대하여 구조적 특성을 파악하게 하여주고 그 내부적 기전을 분석할 수 있게하여준다. 이러한 혼돈적 특성은 근본적으로 시스템의 내부적 비선형성에 의하여 근거한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 특히, 생체시스템의 경우에는 그 내부적 발생기전이 근본적으로 선형적 특성을 보이는 것보다 비선형적 특성을 나타내는 분석이 불가능하게 여겨졌던 생체시스템의 분석 및 의공학의 여러분야들에 다양한 형태로 적용될 있을 것이다.

  • This research is to study the interaction of multiculture parents in law between. daughter in law. We approached hermeneutical grounded theory and six of multiculture family's parent's in law participated this research. Data were collected by the depth interview and various written records and we could construct 9 hermeutical theme by analyzing and categorizing 83 meaning units, 22 categories. We descripted the process of acculturation between parent's in law and daughter in law. The result as follows : ① sticking self dimensions → ② strategic acceptomce → ③ making shade of co-existence → ④ self dismantling and reconstruction. Finally we proposed the 「joint program of parent's in law and daughter in law for reinforcing culture unpetence」.

Theory of Mind in Old Age: A Review from a Neurocognitive Perspective (노년기의 마음이론: 신경인지적 접근)

  • Theory of mind (ToM) is the ability to infer one's own and other people's mental states such as beliefs, desires, and intentions. Although the majority of research in ToM has focused on young children or autistic individuals, several studies have investigated ToM in normal old age and in the demented elderly. This article provides an overview on existent findings of theory of mind in aging populations and suggests future directions for research including applying neuroimaging techniques and real-life tasks. It is still unclear how ToM in aging is associated with other aspects of cognition. However, it is expected that ToM perspective on aging will increase our understanding of aging of cognition and social functioning.

Study on the experience of defecting North Korea women in South Korea : Grounded Theory (북한이탈여성의 자녀양육경험에 관한 근거이론접근)

  • This study, based on grounded theory, explores the child-rearing process of defecting North Korea women in South Korea. Interviews were conducted with five defecting North Korea women who had children. With the permission of the participants, the interviews were recorded with the digital recorder and transcribed by the researchers. Data were collected with in-depth interviews and observations until they were saturated. The interviews were analysed according to the constant comparative method used in grounded theory. The study derived 86 concepts, 31 subcategories and 11 categories in open coding. A core category was 'enduring hardships with hopes for children's success ' in selective coding. And The child-rearing process of the defecting North Korea women takes 'stage of entry', 'stage of confrontation', 'stage of struggle', 'stage of adjustment' and 'stage of hope for children's success'. The findings of the study will be useful in seeking an effective social welfare intervention plan for successful child-rearing of defecting North Korea women in South Korea.

Tension Crack and Lateral Pressure on Gravity Wall Backfilled by Cohesive Soil : Undrained Analysis (점성토로 뒤채움된 중력식옹벽에서의 인장균열 및 수평토압 : 비배수 해석)

  • Coulomb's theory has been usually used in practice to obtain lateral earth pressure against retaining wall. Such theory is based in the assumption that the lateral pressure is a tai angular distribution, since the point of applying the lateral thrust cannot be obtained by using it. However, the results of laboratory and field tests showed that the lateral pressure was not a triangular but a nonlinear distribution. To overcome the drawback of the Coulomb's theory, the different theoretical approaches(Handy, 1985. Kingsley, 1989 : Kellogg, 1993, Chung et at,1993, 1996a) were performed for gravity wall backfilled by cohesionless soil. On the other hand, for retaining wall backfilled by ,cohesive soil, theoretical analyses were carried out only on the basis of the Rankine's or Coulomb's concepts, but the equations showed different results. Here was newly derived the equations of lateral pressures under undrained condition against gravity wall backfilled by cohesive soil. They were based on the Coulomb's wedge, adopted the arching concept. Some of the equations were derived by neglecting tension crack, while the others by considering it. Comparative results for applying different examples showed that the equation considering tension crack might be reasonable.

  • 오늘날 사회가 더욱더 복잡해지고 도시규모가 확대됨으로서 사람들의 의식과 행태로 사회, 경제적 여건의 변화에 따라 다양하게 변모하고 있다. 이에 따라 교통계획의 대상이 다양화되어 지역적인 시각에서 국부적이고 단기적인 교통정책에 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 토지이용지표의 하나인 접근성을 고려하여 이에 대한 통행거리에 따른 통행자의 교통수단선택이 어떻게 나타나고 분석되는 가를 도출, 장래 교통수요를 예측하여 교통계획을 수립하는데 있어서 교통수단에 대한 공급결정 및 교통시설에 대한 설치를 하는데 이들 수단이나 시설의 적정성 여부를 판단하는 지표가 되는 것이다. 이에 대한 근거로는 전통적인 4단계 수요예측방법을 사용하여 왔으나, 이러한 방법을 사용하는데에는 한계가 도출되어 최근에 사용되고 있는 개별행태모형 중에서 로짓모형을 이용한 방법을 선택하고 적용 가능한 가를 문헌적으로 접근하여 기본이론을 파악하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to discover the nature of users' flow experience in virtual reality education services. To this end, we analyzed the factors that affect the user's immersion in virtual reality by applying grounded theory, which is one of the qualitative research method. An experiment was conducted on 11 subjects who were interested in conducting virtual reality education, and conducted interviews after experiments. All of the interviews were documented and configured to construct a paradigm model through the steps of opening coding, axial coding, selective coding. Based on the results, it presents suggestions for future virtual reality education services.
