An Analysis of Analogies in Chemistry Content of Middle School Science Textbooks and High School Chemistry Textbooks Developed under the 2009 Revised National Curriculum (2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 중학교 과학 교과서의 화학 영역과 고등학교 화학 교과서에 사용된 비유의 분석)

  • In this study, we analyzed the analogies in the chemistry domain of 27 middle school science textbooks and 8 high school chemistry textbooks developed under the 2009 Revised National Curriculum. A total of 284 analogies (science, 143; chemistry, 141) were identified from the textbooks, which means that 8.11 analogies (science, 5.3; chemistry, 17.6) per textbook and 0.68 analogy (science, 0.66; chemistry, 0.70) per 10 pages were used on average. Compared with previous curricula that the number of analogies gradually increased, the use of analogy was found to be somewhat decreased in the 2009 Revised National Curriculum. The number of analogies found in each textbook considerably varied depending on course, unit, and publishing company. One hundred ninety one different kinds of analogies were used, among which 38(19.9%) were used over twice. Further analyses of the types of analogies indicated that verbal and pictorial analogy, analogy with abstract target and concrete analog, and enriched analogy were frequently used. However, the term 'analogy' and the description about the limitation of the analogy were rarely mentioned. Artificial analogy, teacher-centered analogy, and analogy with low systematicity were also found to be frequently used. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

Petrology of the Volcanic Rocks in Geoje Island, South Korea (거제도 화산암의 암석학적 연구)

  • Andesitic pyroclastics and lava flows are deposited as a part of composite volcanoes by Cretaceous volcanic activity in Geojae Island, off the coast of Korea. The andesitic pyroclastics are composed of tuff breccia and lapilli tuff minor intercalated tuff. Lava flows are divided into dense and porphyritic andesite containing phenocrysts of plagioclase, pyroxene, and/or hornblende. The andesitic rocks represent charactersitcs of carc-alkaline BAR association with basalt, basaltic andesite, andesite, and dacite to rhyolite. Major element variations of the volcanic rocks show that $Al_2O_3$, total FeO, CaO, MgO and $TiO_2$ decrease with increasing $SiO_2$ but $K_2O$ and total alkalis increase, and represent differntiation trend of calc-alkaline rock series. In spider diagram, contents of Sr, K, Rb, Ba, and Th are relatively high, but contents of Nb, P, Ti and Cr are low. These petrochemcial characteristics are similar to those of rocks from island arc or continental margein related to plate subduction. Chondrite-normalized REE patterns of volcanic rocks are paralle to subparallel, with LREE enriched than HREE, and show gradual increase of negative Eu anomaly from basalt to dacite and rhyolite, suggesting comagmatic fractional crystallization with minor effects of assimilation and magma mixing. Andesitic rocks are assumed medium-K orogenic andesites that formed in the tectomagmatic environment of subduction zone under normal continental margin arc.

수소처리와 후성장층의 특성이 다이아몬드 박막의 전계방출 특성에 미치는 영향

  • 화학증착법으로 증착된 다이아몬드 박막은 우수한 전기적 특성과 뛰어난 화학적, 열적 안정성 때문에 전계방출소재로 많은 관심을 불러 일으키고 있다. 다이아몬드 박막의 전계방출은 저전계에서 일어나는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 저전계방출의 원인을 규명하려는 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 한편, 다이아몬드 박막의 전계방출전류는 금속기판의 사용에 의한 기판/다이아몬드 접촉의 개선, 다이아몬드 박막내의 흑연성분의 조절에 의한 구조변화, 보론이나 인 (P), 질소의 도핑, 수소 플라즈마나 cesium 등의 금속을 이용한 표면처리 등의 여러 방법에 의하여 향상된다는 것이 입증되었다. 그 외에 메탄과 대기 분위기 처리, 암모니아 분위기에서의 레이저 조사도 전계방출특성을 향상시키는 것으로 보고되었다. 그러나, 다이아몬드 박막의 성장후 구조적 특성이 다른 박막의 후성장이나 열분해된 운자수소 처리가 다이아몬드 박막의 전계방출특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 지금까지 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 수소처리와 후성장이 다이아몬드 박막의 전계방출특성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고 이로부터 그 원인을 규명하고자 하였다. 다이아몬드 박막은 hot-filament 화학증착법을 이용하여 증착하였다. 후성장한 다잉아몬드 박막내의 흑연성분과 박막의 두께를 체계적으로 조절하여 후성장 박막의 구조적 특성과 그 두께의 영향을 확인할 수 있었다. 후성장층내의 흑연성분과 두께가 증가할수록 전계방출특성은 향상되다가 저하되었다. 한편, 다이아몬드 박막을 성장시킨 후 수소분위기 처리를 함에 따라 전계방출특성은 향상되었지만 수소처리시간이 5분 이상으로 증가함에 따라 그 특성은 저하되었다. 본 연구에서는 수소처리와 후성장시 나타나는 전계방출특성의 변화 원인을 규명하고자 한다.기판위에서 polymer-like Carbon 구조는 향상되는 경향을 보였다.0 mm인 백금 망을 마스크로 사용하여 실제 3차원 미세구조를 제작하여 보았다. 그림 1에서 제작된 구조물의 SEM 사진을 보여주었으며, 식각된 면의 조도가 매우 뛰어나며 모서리의 직각성도 우수함을 확인할 수 있다. 이와 같이 도출된 시험 조건을 기초로 하여 리소그래피 후에 전기 도금을 이용한 금속 몰드 제작 및 이온빔 리소그래피 장점을 최대한 살릴수 있는 미세구조 제작에 대한 연구를 계속 추진할 계획이다. 비정질 Si1-xCx 박막을 증착하여 특성을 분석한 결과 성장된 박막의 성장률은 Carbonfid의 증가에 따라 다른 성장특성을 보였고, Silcne(SiH4) 가스량의 감소와 함께 박막의 성장률이 둔화됨을 볼 수 있다. 또한 Silane 가스량이 적어지는 영역에서는 가스량의 감소에 의해 성장속도가 둔화됨을 볼 수 있다. 또한 Silane 가스량이 적어지는 영역에서는 가스량의 감소에 의해 성장속도가 줄어들어 성장률이 Silane가스량에 의해 지배됨을 볼 수 있다. UV-VIS spectrophotometer에 의한 비정질 SiC 박막의 투과도와 파장과의 관계에 있어 유리를 기판으로 사용했으므로 유리의투과도를 감안했으며, 유리에 대한 상대적인 비율 관계로 투과도를 나타냈었다. 또한 비저질 SiC 박막의 흡수계수는 Ellipsometry에 의해 측정된 Δ과 Ψ값을 이용하여 시뮬레이션한 결과로 비정질 SiC 박막의 두께를 이용하여 구하였다. 또한 Tauc Plot을 통해 박막의 optical band gap을 2.6~3.7eV로 조절할 수 있었다. 20$0^{\circ}C$이상으로 증가시켜도 광투과율은 큰 변화를 나타내지 않았다.부터

  • IS 실무자들은 과거처럼 단순한 시스템 분석이나 프로그래밍 기법만을 갖추는 것만으로는 조직이 원하는 정보기술을 효과적으로 운용하는 것이 어렵게 되고 있다. 예전과는 달리 최근의 기업에서는 통신 시스템을 포함하는 다양한 정보기술에 관련된 지식과 기술을 전문적으로 다룰 수 있는 전문가를 원하는 추세이다. 이러한 맥락에서 IS 실무자들이 자신의 업무를 성공적으로 수행하기 위해 필요한 전문 지식과 기술은 무엇인가라는 질문에 대한 대답을 알 수 있어야만 한다. 본 연구는 IS 실무자들이 그들이 직면하고 있는 ‘IS 지식과 기술의 빠른 변화’를 얼마만큼 인식하고 있으며, 그들이 필요로 하는 지식과 기술과 업무를 수행함에 있어 필수적인 지식과 기술을 얼마만 큼 보유하고 있는지를 조사하였다. 본 연구에서는 조사된 자료를 통하여, 기존의 국내외의 문화에서 밝혀진 인구 통계학적 분류기준 (예를 들자면, 경력 수준, 지역, 직종) 이외에 이들을 분류할 수 있는 기준에는 어떠한 것이 있는가에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 분석을 위하여 실무자들이 현업에서 많은 시간과 노력을 들이고 있는 IS 활동영역에 대한 투자시간을 기준으로 실무자들을 분류하였다. 분석에서는 조사자의 군집분석과 다차원 분석을 통하여 분류된 실무자 그룹에 대한 여러 가지 기술적인 특성과, 인구 통계학적 특성을 파악하고, 그룹들에 대하여 새로운 분류에 적합한 표기를 제시하고자 하였다. 본 논문은 정보시스템 영역에서 수행된 IS 실무자들에 다양한 연구의 한 부분으로서, 기업 환경, 조직 환경, 나아가 실무자들의 직무환경의 개선에 필요한 지식과 기술을 제공할 것이다.아날로그 방식에서 IT 기반에 의한 디지털 환경으로 변화되고 있다. 또한 e러닝, T러닝, m러닝, u러닝 등의 용어가 생성되고 있다.키지에어컨에서 사용되고 있는 밀폐형 압축기에 대해서 그림 2에서 나타내고 있는 냉방능력 10tons(120,000Btu/h) 이하를 중심으로 상기의 최근 기술 동향을 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.질표준의 지표성분으로 간주되는 진세노사이드의 절대함량과 그 성분조성 차이에 따른 임상효과의 차별성이 있는지에 대한 검토와, 특히 최근 실험적으로 밝혀지고 있는 사포닌 성분의 장내 세균에 의한 생물전환체의 인체 실험을 통한 효과 검정이 필요하다. 나아가서는 적정 복용량의 설정과 이와 관련되는 생체내 동태 및 생체이용율(bioavilability)에 관한 정보가 거의 없으므로 이것도 금후 검토해야 할 과제로 사료된다. 인삼은 전통약물로서 오랜 역사성과 그동안의 연구결과에 의한 과학성을 가지고 있으므로 건강유지와 병의 예방 및 회복촉진을 위한 보조요법제 또는 기능성 식품으로써의 유용성이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 앞으로 인삼의 활용성 증대를 위해서는 보다 과학적인 임상평가에 의한 안전성 및 유효성 입증과 제품의 엄격한 품질관리의 필요성이 더욱 강조되어야 할 것이다.xyl radical 생성 억제 효과를 보여 주었다. 본 실험을 통하여 BHT 를 제외하고 전반적으로 세포 수준에서의 oxidative stress 에 대한 억제 효과를 확인해 볼 수 있었으며 특히 수용성 항산화제들에서 두드러진 효과를 보여 주었다. 제공하여 내수기반 확충에도 노력해야 할 것 이다.있었다., 인삼이 성장될 때 부분적인 영양상태의

  • This study investigated the contents related to the plane figures in the geometry domains of Joseon-Sanhak in the late 18th century and focused on changes in explanations and calculation methods related to plane figures, the rigor of mathematical logic in the problem-solving process, and the newly emerged mathematical topics. For this purpose, We analyzed , and written in the late 18th century and and written in the previous period. The results of this study are as follows. First, an explanation that pays attention to the figures as an object of inquiry, not as a measurement object, and a case of additional presentation or replacing the existing solution method was found. Second, descriptions of the validity of calculations in some problems, explanations through diagrams with figure diagrams, clear perceptions of approximations and explanations of more precise approximation were representative examples of pursuing the rigor of mathematical logic. Lastly, the new geometric domain theme in the late 18th century was Palsun corresponding to today's trigonometric functions and example of extending the relationship between the components of the triangle to a general triangle. Joseon-Sanhak cases in the late 18th century are the meaningful materials which explain the gradual acceptance of the theoretical and argumentative style of Western mathematics

Development of Intelligent OCR Technology to Utilize Document Image Data (문서 이미지 데이터 활용을 위한 지능형 OCR 기술 개발)

  • In the era of so-called digital transformation today, the need for the construction and utilization of big data in various fields has increased. Today, a lot of data is produced and stored in a digital device and media-friendly manner, but the production and storage of data for a long time in the past has been dominated by print books. Therefore, the need for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to utilize the vast amount of print books accumulated for a long time as big data was also required in line with the need for big data. In this study, a system for digitizing the structure and content of a document object inside a scanned book image is proposed. The proposal system largely consists of the following three steps. 1) Recognition of area information by document objects (table, equation, picture, text body) in scanned book image. 2) OCR processing for each area of the text body-table-formula module according to recognized document object areas. 3) The processed document informations gather up and returned to the JSON format. The model proposed in this study uses an open-source project that additional learning and improvement. Intelligent OCR proposed as a system in this study showed commercial OCR software-level performance in processing four types of document objects(table, equation, image, text body).

Clinical Implication of Images of Island : Based on Dreams, Sand Trays and Art Work of Four Korean Women (분석심리학적 관점에서 본 '섬' 상징의 임상적 적용 : 꿈, 모래상자, 그림작업에 출현한 섬 이미지 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to illustrate the nature of Objective Psyche based on island related case materials. Theoretical background starts with psychological meaning of islands, a kind affective symbol rather than cognitive image, and creation myths as the story of man's awareness of the world; Chaos as archaic identity (unconscious), islands as emergence of the ego from unconscious. In alchemical symbolism, island related to coagulatio, the operation which turns something into earth, the realm of ego. In addition, related parts of Hindu creation myths, Korean giant woman creator Sulmoonde-halmang, and legends of "Relocation of Island/Mountain" will be presented to integrate with case materials. Case A : Starts with a dream of killing a huge dragon and dead body became an island. The dragon in the water was seen as Spirit of Mercurius, the autonomous spirit, connecting of the ego with the Self. The act of killing related to Primeval being which needs to be killed to be transformed. Myths of Eskimo, The Eagle's Gift, the giant woman creator in Korea, and Marduk, the Babylonian hero will be integrated. Case B : Prior to introduce six island images in sand trays, a dream of a giant serpent (python) wound around her body will be presented to portray her situation. By relating Jung's "The Sermons to the Dead," her effort to make the solid island regarded as an act of bringing order out of original oneness (pleroma). Then stresses the importance to coagulate archetypal image Case C : A vignette of active imagination seminar where island image emerged will be described. Her endeavor of focusing on inner image related to the Hindu Creator, Cherokee creation myth, as well as Sulmoonde-halmang. As a motif of growing island, Samoan creation myth, and Legend of Mountain, Mai were incorporated. Colors in her art work regarded as expression of inner need, and importance of expressing inner feeling images as a mean to coagulate volatile emotional and spiritual content. Case D : A dream and art work of terminally ill woman; embracing the tip of the island with gushing up water will be presented. Her island and replenishing water image regard as "an immortal body," corresponds to the Philosophers' Stone for she accepted her death peacefully after the dream. Also related to "The Mercurial Fountain" in Rosarium Philosophorum, and aqua permanence, an allegory of God.

The development of Home Economics Education program for the prevention of school violence in middle school : Based on the Practical Action Teaching Model (학교폭력 예방을 위한 중학교 가정과 교육 프로그램 개발 - 실천적 행동 수업 모형을 적용하여 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a school violence prevention program featuring the Practical Action Teaching Model(hereafter, PATM) for middle school students to prevent school violence by Home Economics Education. To accomplish this purpose, the processes of analysis, design, development, and evaluation based on ADDIE were conducted. The validity of the program was evaluated twice by Home Economics education experts(36 experts for the first group and 10 experts for the second group) and the contents of the program were modified according to the comments from the evaluators. The school violence prevention program in Home Economics classes consisted of 5 topics such as changing perception on school violence, enhancing self-esteem, relating with others, practicing consideration and sharing, and strengthening the will of preventing school violence. Twenty-four units were developed with 7 practical problems(What should I do to make friends to help with each other?, What should I do to establish positive self-concept?, What should I do to communicate to build good relationship?, What should I do to solve the conflicts peacefully?, What should I do to practice consideration and sharing in food consumption?, and What should I do to practice consideration and sharing in clothing?) in 5 topic areas. Teaching-learning plans included four steps such as problem perception, practical reasoning, action, and evaluation that comprise PATM to solve the practical problems. Every step of the teaching-learning plan consisted of questions for practical reasoning and activity assignments. Materials for students and teachers were developed. Materials for students comprised 80 pieces in total including student activity, reading, movie, and clips to make students enhance understanding and interest. Materials for teachers comprised 35 pieces in total such as rationales, newspaper articles, and movies that make teachers that lesson teaching loads and were helpful for teachers. The PATM was incorporated into developing the program and a Likert-scale was used to assess usefulness, applicability, appropriateness, fidelity, substantiality, and validity of this program. This program gained more than 4.00 on a 1-5 Likert scale. This result indicated that program is expected to be effective and useful to school violence prevention.

The Content Analysis of the Clothing Life Unit in the Technology.Home Economics Textbooks of Middle School Based on the Elaboration Theory (정교화 교수이론에 근거한 중학교 기술.가정 교과서 의생활 영역 분석)

  • This study analyzed the 12 different technology home economics textbooks I, II for middle school students and the content systems of the textbooks by 7 instructional strategies in Reigeluth's elaboration theory. The units analyzed were 'Clothing and self-expression' and 'Eco-friendly clothing life and recycling by reform'. The purpose of this study was to provide basic information for the development of textbooks and teaching materials by analyzing current textbooks. Researchers analyzed the textbooks individually using pre-developed analysis frame using Reigeluth's elaboration theory. The results of the study were as follows. The conceptual elaboration process was used in the unit of 'Clothing and self-expression' of all the textbooks used in this study, and procedural elaboration process was mostly used in the unit of 'Eco-friendly clothing life and recycling by reform'. The strategies of advance learning ability were presented mostly in the forms of 'Learning Objective', 'Thought Opening', 'Key terms' in either unit and sub unit. The strategies of summarizer were presented as 'Unit Summary', 'Cleanup' and 'Assessment'. The strategies of synthesizer were used in all the textbooks as the 'Exploration' to increase the students interest through the promotion of the learning content in a variety of activities and projects. The cognitive activator strategies were shown in all of the textbooks using mostly 'Figure,' and others such as 'Table,' 'Diagram', and 'Explanation of Terms'. The strategies of learner control were used to guide the supplement and deepen the learning by various forms. However the analogy strategies were hardly used in units of textbooks analyzed in this study. As a result, the technology home economics textbooks I, II for middle school students applied the Reigeluth's elaboration theory, except the analogy strategies. It is recommended to utilize th analogy strategies and various activities to enhance the students' understanding and participation.

An Analysis and Evaluation of Cyber Home Study Contents for Self-directed Learning - Focused on the Earth Science Content of the Science Basic Course for the 7th grade - (사이버가정학습의 자율학습용 콘텐츠 분석 및 평가 - 중학교 1학년 과학 기본과정 지구과학영역을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the self-directed learning contents of Earth science area in the basic course of the 7th grade. For this purpose, we applied the 'Cyber Home Study Content Quality Control Tool' presented in 'Elementary Secondary Education e-Learning Quality Management Guidelines (Ver.2.0)' of Korea Education & Research Information Service (2008). The results of contents analysis are as follow: First, it was presented that the study guide introduced the contents which should be studied for one class, properly. And it was not analyzed that the diagnosis assesment was not completed in the initiative study; Second, it was possible to study choosing the contents fitting the learner's level of learning in the main study, it was comprised of about 15 minutes. Third, it was performed without feedback for incorrect answers in the learning assessment, just the number of wrong questions. And the learning arrangement present the important contents learned in that class, summarizing and arranging again. The results of content evaluation are as follows: First, a big difference was not showed against the needs analysis, instructional design, interaction in each class. And the evaluation of the ethics was not included a word or sentence not suitable. The evaluation of copyright, it was analyzed that Work within the content display in compliance with international copyright Second, the evaluation of instructional design presented mainly the description of a simple picture based, the visible resources like flash card were poor. And in the evaluation of Supporting System, it was presented that the contents were installed so that it was freely available for learners. But it was analyzed that there was no memo-function learners were able to jot down something during the studying contents. And in the evaluation for evaluation, the clear valuation basis about the described content was not presented. So there were slightly differences for each class. Third, in the evaluation and analysis for learning content, it was presented that there were some big differences for each class because it was not composed of the latest information, not corrected and complementary.
