Target Object Detection Based on Robust Feature Extraction (강인한 특징 추출에 기반한 대상물체 검출)

  • Detecting target objects robustly in natural environments is a difficult problem in the computer vision and image processing areas. This paper suggests a method of robustly detecting target objects in the environments where reflection exists. The suggested algorithm first captures scenes with a stereo camera and extracts the line and corner features representing the target objects. This method then eliminates the reflected features among the extracted ones using a homographic transform. Subsequently, the method robustly detects the target objects by clustering only real features. The experimental results showed that the suggested algorithm effectively detects the target objects in reflection environments rather than existing algorithms.

  • The use of medical imaging in hospitals is being gradually increased as it is of utmost importance in treatment and diagnosis of patients. With the drastic increase of the usage of medical imaging in hospitals per day necessitates more speedy and accurate systems for precise diagnosis and the treatment. Hence the modality and development of network infrastructure are also need to be improved day by day and this trend may be continued. Thus there is a great need improvement of PACS concerned. In this paper, by using the computational grid technology, we design a medical image storage system that improve the compression speed, and implement a prototype as a part of PACS. We also demonstrate the performance improvement from experimental results of the prototype.

  • When scenes in the real world are perceived for the purpose of computer/robot vision fields, there are great deals of texture based patterns in them. This paper introduces a texture feature representation on a coordinate system in which many different patterns can be represented with a mathematical model (Gabor function). The representation of texture features of each pattern on the coordinate system results in the high performance/competence of texture pattern classification. A decision tree algorithm is used to classify pattern data represented on the proposed coordinate system. The experimental results for the texture pattern classification show that the proposed method is better than previous researches.

  • 최근 병렬처리 시스템에 대한 연구는 마이크로 프로세서 제작 기술과 네트워크 기술이 발달함에 따라 고성능의 PC와 워크스테이션 여러대를 고속의 네트워크로 연결하여 구축하는 클러스터링 환경에 관심이 고조되고 있다. 그런데 이러한 클러스터링 시스템의 성능은 수행되는 애플리케이션 프로그램의 병렬성이나 xdhtls 빈도 등의 특성에 따라 달라진다. 그러므로 클러스터링 시스템의 성능을 향상시키기 위해서는 애플리케이션의 이러한 특성을 고려하여 최상의 효과를 얻기 위한 조정작업이 필요하며 그 방법중의 하나가 시스템 상에서 발생하는 통신들에 대하 스케줄링을 수행하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 Myrinet 스위치를 사용하여 선형으로 구성한 클러스터링 시스테과 2차원 메쉬 형태로 구성한 클러스터링 시스템의 두 가지 모델을 가정하고 이들 모델 상에서 특성 시간에 주어지는 통신요청들에 대하여 순위차원 라우팅을 사용하여 메시지들을 최단시간에 전송할 수 있는 최적 통신스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 시스템 상에서 같은 방향으로 동시에 링크를 공유한는 통신들의 개수의 최대값을 $L_{MAX}$로 시스템에서 하나의 메시지가 전달되는데 걸리는 시간을 T로 정의하면 알고리즘에 의해 선형 네트워크에서의 통신 요청 집합에 대한 메시지 전송 완료 시간은 최대 $L_{MAX}{\cdot}T$, 메쉬 네트워크에서의 통신요청 집합에 대한 메시지 전송 완료시간은 최대 $frac{3}{2}{\cdot}T$임을 증명하였다.

An Efficient Multicast Routing Protocol for Ad-Hoc Networks with Mobility (이동성이 큰 에드-혹 네트워크를 위한 효율적인 멀티캐스트 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • 본 논문에서는 에드-혹 망의 멀티캐스트 라우팅 프로토콜인 ODMRP(On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol)를 확장한 PatchODMRP를 제안한다. ODMRP는 네트워크 상에서 멀티캐스트그룹의 송신원으로부터 수신원에 이르는 경로 상에 있는 노드들을 FG(Forwarding Group) 노드로 선출하여 이들이 해당 멀티캐스트그룹에 속하는 패킷을 모두 플러딩하도록 함으로써 멀티캐스트 그룹데이타 전송을 담당하는 메쉬를 구성하도록 하는 방안이다. 그런데 ODMRP는 주기적으로 이 메쉬를 구성하는 FG 노드들을 재 선정하기 때문에 이 주기가 길어지면 메쉬 구성이 네트워크 노드들의 이동성을 따라가지 못해 메쉬분리가 발생하고 데이터가 손실될수 있다. 반면에 이 주기를 짧게 하면 오버헤드가 지나치게 커질수 있다. 특히 송신원의 수가 적은 경우 ODMRP의 메쉬는 매우 성기게 형성되는데 이때 호스트들의 이동성이 크면 메쉬 연결을 유지하기 위하여 이 주기를 짧게 잡아주거나 높은 데이터 손실율을 감수해야한다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제점을 해결하고자 각 FG 노드들이 BEACON 신호를 이용해 자신에 인접한 메쉬에 손실이 발생한 것을 인지하고 이를 국부적인 플러딩을 통하여 빠르게 복구하는 메커니즘을 ODMRP에 추가한 PatchODMRP 방식을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존의 ODMRP와 제안하는 PatchODMRP의 성능을 비교한 결과 PatchODMRP가 호스트의 이동성에 훨씬 강하며 ODMRP에 비하여 낮은 오버헤드로 높은 데이터 전송률을 제공할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

  • These days American private security industries has rapidly grown, and its scales(employment, expenditures) exceed the public police. American private security are based on the theories such as privatization, co-production, and build more developmental framework. But the behind of private security, its civil and criminal liabilities are more issued. In this, among the civil liabilities focused on the tort liability. In civil liabilities, contract liability is specially raised by between contractors, on the other hand tort liability is raised in general without special relationship in civil law relations. In this study, I would observe the types, conditions, protest reasons and the cases in tort generated by private security officials.

  • Industrial control system was designed mainly in the form of analog in early days. However, necessity of digital system engineering is increasing recently because systems become complicated. Consequently, stability of digital systems is improved so most industrial control systems are designed with digital. Because Using digital design of Industrial control system is expanded, various threatening possibilities such as penetration or destruction of systems are increasing enormously. Domestic and overseas researchers accordingly make a multilateral effort into risk analysis and preparing countermeasures. In this paper, this report chooses common security requirement in industrial control system and nuclear control system through relevant guidelines analysis. In addition, this report suggests the development plan of nuclear cyber security system which will be an essential ingredient of planning approvals.

  • Extensible 3D(X3D) is a software standard for defining interactive web and broadcast-based 3D content integrated with multimedia. The data size of Web3D representation based on polygon meshes is so large that transferring practical data fast is a hard problem. This paper proposes 3D object structure, a new framework for compact 3D representation with high quality surface shape. By utilizing a free form surface technique, qualified surface are transferred with limited amount of data size and rendered. 3D graphic structure can be regarded ad both polygon meshes and free form surfaces. Therefore, it can be easily integrated to existing Web3D data formats, for example VRML & XML. 3D object structure also enables modeling free form surface shapes intuitively with polygon modeling like operations.

  • The modulation transfer function is generally used as a method to estimate the characteristics of this kind of optical system because it cannot reappear or implement image of the object perfect. By the way, it is difficult to assess the optical system with existing MTF method since the reaction between diffraction and aberration of aperture is very complicate if the aberration is very small. The MTF has to be calculated considering the numerical aperture, defocusing, OPD and phase difference. We validate its feasibility using bessel function as an estimating method, and then realize it through illustration in this paper.

  • Digital is the main topic of 21C design. Experts analyzed that pop art and related cultural products are becoming popular as digital generations of twenties to forties are centered of new art culture. This survey is to suggest the differentiated jewelry products which are out of the existing products as combining the embodiment of various colors by using celebrities who are taken kindly to and the lenticular which can be image converted through an optical illusion. As public's living standard is getting improved, design elements would come into the spotlight. Therefore, this research is expected to work as the part of an epoch-making design in the jewelry industry by extending the design field.
