This paper examines the effects of corporate governance on internationalization in Korean firms. Using the data from 454 Korean manufacturing firms listed in the Korean Stock ExchanFge (KSE) from 1999-2006, we analyzed the role of corporate governance on internationalization in Korean firms, including Chaebols (Korean business groups) and family firms. In addition, we investigated the moderating effect of concentration of ownership on internationalization. The results of the analysis showed a positive association between corporate governance in Chaebols and family firms and internationalization. Interestingly, the influence of ownership concentration overpowered the ambivalent behaviors of Chaebols, leading to less internationalization. We conclude that corporate governance in Chaebols and family firms is important to internationalization strategy.

In this study, a firm's internationalization level was measured as the ratio of foreign sales to total sales (FSTS) of individual firms. A demonstration was conducted with several control variables that affect the persistence of the firm's profits using the Sloan (1996) model as a proxy for its primary relationship between net profit and the next profit. An empirical analysis of the end-December settlement firms listed on the securities market from 2011 to 2016 was conducted using a fixed-effect model to confirm that the persistence of the firm's internationalization and accounting profits was positive at the 1% significant level, indicating that the persistence of the firm's profits also increased as the level of individual firm's internationalization increased. In addition, the firm size, financial soundness, cash accompanying, growth, and investment ability, consistent with forecasts, represented a statistically significant (+) relationship with globalization. These results suggest that firms can maintain and expand their value stably by securing new overseas markets and promoting growth by implementing internationalization strategies.

Globalization brings changes to universities in particular facilitating internationalizing students exchange and curriculum diversification. Such efforts are relatively weak in education college even though the demands are high in students' global learning expectations internally and educational development cooperation from developing countries. The demands of global education arise from the increase of multi-cultural family, the compelling foreign language proficiency and others. The demands of development cooperation arise from the contribution of education to the rapid economic development. However, Korean participation focuses on vocational training which is far from the international norm of basic education provision and carried out without enough educational specialists. Global education and teaching practices in developing countries would substantiate the internationalization of education college while the effectiveness of educational development cooperation would be enhanced after learning the international norms and local knowledge which are learnt from the global education including foreign school practices.

우리나라도 국제화 시대에 대비한 조경수 생산기술개발이 어떠한 방향으로 이루어질 것인가? 조경수를 연구하고 있는 본인에게도 어려운 질문 중에 하나이다. 무엇보다도 국내의 조경수 생산기술 및 유통체계가 구축되지 않아 총체적인 문제점을 지니고 있기 때문이다. 이에 따라 현시점에서 국제화 시대에 대비하는 것이 우선적으로 국가나 지자체에서 작목반을 구성하여 그 지역에 맞는 새로운 품종육성으로 계속해서 생산할 수 있는 품종과 국제적으로 정보를 통하여 수출입을 할 수 있어야 한다. 그리고 홍보 및 전문가의 컨설팅으로 재배관리 및 수종선택이 필요함과 동시 모든 것이 기계화, 규격화로 이루어지는 시스템이 중요하다.
