지하도상가의 HVAC 구성방식에 따른 운전특성 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Operating Characteristics with HVAC Type of Shopping Center in Underground Passage)

  • The shopping center in underground passage increased for efficient space utilization in urban area. This study describes operation characteristics of all air type and hybrid type with local ventilation and fan coil unit fixed to ceiling. In order to compare energy saving, thermal environment and installation space, etc., integrated simulator with heat production and indoor distribution system is designed and constructed. Energy saving of the hybrid system is calculated as over 30% compared to conventional all air type. And also the results showed that humidity decreased about 6%, also indoor thermal distribution is improved as temperature variation of around $1^{\circ}C$.

급기-흡기 국소환기시스템의 성능개선에 관한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on the Improvement of Fume Mixing Ratio in the Push-Pull Local Ventilation System)

  • Numerical analysis has been conducted to investigate the fluid flow and fume mixing ratio characteristics of scattering fume in a push-pull ventilation system and optimally improve the flow patterns of scattering fume in the existing ventilation system. This ventilation system has been simulated by using commercial CFD code. In the case of the existing system, although the air is sprayed from air-curtain to prevent the fume from being scattered in upper hood, the improved air supply hood can remove the fume from the wide area in the high pressure. It is verified that the deeper plating storage is more advantageous. Also, by installing the shied around the plating storage, the scattering of the fume to the atmosphere was prevented effectively by surrounding flux.

  • We performed the numerical analysis on the characteristics of indoor air quality and local supply index with a variation of supply · exhaust airflow rate. We analyzed the local supply index and carbon dioxide concentration at the room and breathing zone with respect to the variation of the supply · exhaust airflow rate. From the numerical results, we found that local supply index was affected but carbon dioxide concentration was hardly affected by the variation of the airflow rate in the room. And we also knew that carbon dioxide concentration was raised in despite of the increment of the supply airflow rate in the breathing zone. After this study it is necessary to analyze the local exhaust index when we evaluate the state of the ventilation in the room.

  • 일반적으로 실내 공기질을 조절하기 위해서는 환기의 역할이 중요하다. 최근 코로나-19 등 감염병의 확산으로 거주자들의 실내에서 보내는 시간이 늘어남에 따라 환기의 중요성은 더욱 높아지고 있으며, 환기성능에 대한 관심도 더욱 높아지는 추세이다. 많은 국가에서 현재 환기 성능을 파악하는 지표로서 시간당 환기횟수를 사용하고 있으며, 국내에서도 공동주택을 대상으로 시간당 0.5회 이상의 환기횟수를 확보하도록 규제하고 있다. 하지만, 선행연구 및 국내외 환기성능 평가 관련 표준을 검토한 결과 시간당 환기횟수만을 통해 실내 환기 성능을 평가하는데에는 실질적 실내 환기 성능을 평가하는 데에는 한계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 실질적인 환기 성능을 평가하기 위해서는 실내 국소부위를 대상으로 오염물질 저감속도와 공간내 환기 성능 균일도 등을 고려하는 것이 필요할 것이다. 이에 대해 본 연구에서는 추적가스 희석법을 이용한 실증 실험을 통해 측정 위치별 유속, 공기연령 및 환기효율을 측정하고 비교하였으며, 측정점별 조합에 따른 평균값과 공간 내 중심점에서의 측정값을 비교하여 측정점 선정에 따른 환기성능 차이를 비교 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 실환경 기반의 주거공간 실내 환기성능을 평가하기 위한 실험절차 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study is undertaken to evaluate the relationship between the indoor $CO_2$ concentration and the local mean air-age in the lecture room with the occupants. We conducted the experiments to examine the indoor $CO_2$ concentration and the local mean air-age with respect to the supply airflow of the ventilation system and the discharge angle and air-flow of the system air conditioner. Through the experiments, we found out that indoor $CO_2$ concentrations calculated by the prediction equation of Seidel are about 350 ppm lower than those measured by the experiments. The indoor $CO_2$ concentration is not related with the air-flow and the discharge angle of the system air-conditioner, but with the ventilation airflow. From the numerical calculation, the indoor $CO_2$ concentration is not related with the ventilation effectiveness, but strongly with the local mean air-age. In case of our model, the indoor $CO_2$ concentration is likely to fall within the acceptable air quality when the local mean air-age is averagely predicted under 400 seconds.

실내 기류패턴에 따른 급기효율과 배기효율의 분포 (Distributions of Local Supply and Exhaust Effectiveness according to the Room Airflow Patterns)

  • A pulsed tracer gas technique is applied to measure distributions of local mean age and residual life time of air in a half-scale experimental chamber. The room airflow patterns are flow-visualized by a Helium bubble generator for three different exhaust locations. A supply slot is located at the top of a right wall, and an exhaust slot is either at bottom-left(Case 1), bottom-right(Case 2), or top-left(Case 3) location. Results show that the distribution of LMA and LMR are different from each other, but both of them are closely related to the airflow pattern in the space. Results on overall room ventilation effectiveness are provided depending upon ventilation airflow rates for three different supply-exhaust configurations.

전산실의 환기성능 최적화를 위한 연구 (A Study for Optimization the Ventilation Performance of the Computer Room)

  • The objective of the present study is to identify the ventilation problems and to suggest the optimal ventilation system to save energy and to improve IAQ in the computer rooms, which annually performs the cooling operation by the server with the highly thermal load. Numerical results on the temperature and local mean age are presented along with some of the discharge velocities. Results show many interesting aspects of airflow patterns affecting the ventilation performances, according to the discharge velocity of the supply diffuser installed in the bottom surfaces between the servers. As the results, 2.5 m/s of the optimal discharge velocity is needed in order to improve the ventilation performance.

  • In this study, a tracer gas technique was used to measure ventilation effectiveness in a thermal environmental chamber simulating an under-floor air conditioning system. A tracer gas of $SF_6$ was injected in a supply duct using step-up and step-down methods. Local mean ages and room mean ages were calculated from the measured concentrations under isothermal and cooling conditions with and without diffusers. Ventilation effectiveness is found to be higher in cooling ventilation operations than in isothermal operations. Results also show that ventilation effectiveness is not significantly affected by a diffuser.

  • This paper presents a control algorithm of supply and exhaust diffusers by recognizing a contaminant source location. CFD analysis has been conducted to calculate steady state airflow and concentration distributions in a model room, which has two supply and two exhaust openings on the ceiling. Calculations have been performed for five cases out of nine different ventilation modes by combining on/off control of the supply and exhaust openings. Local mean residual life times are obtained and compared at 9 internal points for each ventilation case. Depending on the contaminant source location, the ventilation system is operated at an optimum ventilation mode, which can results in maximum exhaust performance.

지하 수처리시설 유지관리층 환기설비의 성능평가 (Evaluation of the Ventilation Efficiency in an Underground Sewage Disposal Plant)

  • In this paper, the ventilation efficiencies of an underground sewage disposal plant were investigated for ventilating system without fan, ventilating system with eleven cross flow fans and ventilating system with sixteen cross flow fans by numerical method. It has been found that the air change effectiveness of the system without fan was predicted 0.44. It means that an additional ventilating equipment is needed to maintain good indoor air quality. For the ventilating system with sixteen cross flow fans, the air change effectiveness was predicted 0.55. The air change effectiveness of the ventilating system with eleven cross flow fans was predicted 0.51. It is known that the air change effectiveness above 0.5 is enough to eliminate pollutant and bad smell in the indoor. Therefore, it is recommended to select the ventilating system with eleven cross flow fans for the underground sewage disposal plant in an economic point of view.
