Abstract We have investigated the structure and the conductivity of the CdTe films evaporated on the glass substrates by Electron Beam Evaporator (EBE) technique. The structure is observed to be polycrystalline whose phase is mainly hexagonal phase with some cubic phase. Dark electric conductivity is of the order of $1-^{-8} {\Omega}^{-1} cm^{-1}$ and slightly increased by annealing for an hour at $300^{\circ}C$. Activation energy calculated from the electrical conductivity which varies with increasing temperature is 1.446 eV in the case of room temperature substrates. The values of optical band gap are 1.52 eV in direct transition whereas 1.44 eV in indirect. The photoconductivity of the films is of the order of $1-^{-8} {\Omega}^{-1} cm^{-1}$ and the peak energy is about 600 nm in the room temperature. The photoconductivity starts to increase at 850 nm, which is close to 1.446 eV, the activation energy of CdTe polycrystal films.

We have investigated the structure and the conductivity of the $Cd_{1-y}Zn_{y}$ Te films evaporated on the glass substrates (Corning 7059) by Electron Beam Evaporator (EBE) in pressure of approximately $1 {\times} 10^{-6}$ torr. The structure temperatures were held at both room temperature and $300^{\circ}C$, and the samples have annealed for an hour at $300^{\circ}C$ The survace com-position of the as-prepared films were slightly different from those of CdZn Te source material.Cd losses on the CdZnTe surface was measured about 4% of atomic ratio at room temperature substrate, whereas Zn atomic ratio was nearly constant, relatively. The strure is observed to be polycrystalline whose phase is mainly cubic phase. Thermal expansion coefficient was $6.30 {\times} 10^{-5}/^{\circ}C$ which was calculated from the variation of lattice parameter by X-ray powder pat-terns measured at $400^{\circ}C$.Diffraction peaks were slightly increased by annealing for an hour at $300^{\circ}C $, but they werey highly affected by substrate temperature during evaporation.
Anisakid larvae were found from the liver and stomach of the codfish (Notothenia negzecta) caught from the Antarctic Ocean, South Pole, where the Polar Research Center of The Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute is operating- Through observations by scanning electron (SEM) and light microscopy (LM), they were identified as the third stage larvae of Pseunotewnnovo necipiens, a potential agent of human codworm anisakiasis. They measured 25.0-28.5 mm in length, and 0.6-0.8 mm in width. The SEM revealed a prominent boring tooth, three lips, and excretory pore at the anterior end, and a small but prominent mucron at the posterior end. From whole mounts and cross sections of the larvae the ventriculus, intestinal cecum and a Renette cell were found characteristically at the same plane. Raw eating of the codfish caught from the Antarctic Ocean near the South Pole should be avoided so as to prevent human codworm anisakiasis in this area.
Major characteristics have been studied on Daejappong which is autotetraploid brooded for mulberry fruit and Garmbacppong selected from the wild mulberry of Turkey. The number of chromosomes of Daejappong was 2n=56 recornized tetraploid, and that of Gambacppong was 2n=42 as a triploid. The percentage of seed formation, sank seed and germination of Daejappong were 48.2%,32.7%,90.0% respectively, on the other hand these of Carmbacppong were very low level as 41.0%, 1.9%,7.0% respectively. On the single fruit (sorosis) weight, Daejappong was large fruit as 4.39 g with light purple color, and Garmbacppong was medium fruit as 3.26 g with milk white color. Sugar contents (Brix %) and total acidities of Daejappong and Garmbacppong were 14.2%,0.45%, and 19.3%,0.15% respectively. Maturities of 2 cultivars were late and mulberry fruit yield of Daejappong was high and that of Garmbacppong was medium yielding.

The water and $40\%$ ethanol extracts from mulberry fruits were tested for their antimicrobial activities against Helicobacter pylori and antioxidant. Kangwon III (Morus albba L.) was higher phenolic content (2.90 mg/g) than other water extracts. The phenolic contents of $40\%$ ethanol extracts from Kangwon III and Hihak were 3.02 mg/g and 2.46 mg/g, respectively . The ABTS [2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfornic acid)] radical decolorization, electron donating ability (EDA), thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) and antioxidant protection factor (PF) were determined for water extracts and $40\%$ ethanol extracts from mulberry fruits. EDA was higher in water extracts than ethanol extract. EDA of water extract from Kangwon III was determined as $99.54\%$ while the activity of ethanol extracts was $89.61\%$ in Daechoukmyeun. The water extracts from Cheongilppong showed higher antioxidative activity than another mulberry fruits extract when evaluated by ABTS [2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiaznoline-6-sulfornic acid)] radical decolorization, TBARS and antioxidant PF by water extracts. Kangwon III was higher phenolic content (2.90 mg/g) than other that of water extracts. $40\%$ ethanol extracts were determined that phenolic contents of Kangwon III, Hihak were 3.02 mg/g, 2.46 mg/g for each other. Antimicrobial activity showed the high value in water extracts of Cheongilppong, Kuksang 20. The result will be useful nature microbial medicine for mulberry fruits.
The water extracts and 80% ethanol extracts from mulberry leaves of 108 kinds were tested their antimicrobial activities against Helicobacter pylori and antioxidant effects. The ABTS [2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiaznoline-6-sulfornic acid)] radical decolorization, electron donating ability (EDA), thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) and antioxidant protection factor (PF) were determined for water extracts and 80% ethanol extracts from mulberry leaves. In the electron donating activity, the 13 kinds of water extracts showed high inhibition (>80%), whereas the 59 kinds of 80% ethanol extracts showed high inhibition. The inhibitory activities of water extracts from all kinds of mulberry leaves were higher than 90% in ABTS [2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiaznoline-6-sulfornic acid)] radical decolorization. The thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) and antioxidant protection factor (PF) of the 80% ethanol extracts were higher than that of water extracts. Antimicrobial activity against Helicobacter pylori showed high value in 80% ethanol extracts of 15 kinds mulberry leaves. The results implied that the mulberry leaves can be useful for natural antimicrobial medicine.

We have fabricated Sb/SiC(4H) Schottky barrier diode (SBD) of which characteristics compared with that of Ti/SiC(4H) SBD. The donor concentration of the n-type SiC(4H) obtained by capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurement was about $2.5{\times}10 ^{17}{\textrm}cm^{-3}$. The ideality factors of 1.31 was obtained from the slope of forward current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of Sb/SiC(4H) SBD at low current density. The breakdown field of Sb/SiC(4H) SBD under the reverse bias voltage was about $4.4{\times}10^2V$/cm. The built-in potential and the Schottky barrier height (SBH) of Sb/SiC(4H) SBD were 1.70V and 1.82V, respectively, which were determined by the analysis of C-V characteristics. The Sb/SiC(4H) SBH of 1.82V was higher than Ti/SiC(4H) SBH of 0.91V. However, the current density and reverse breakdown field of Sb/SiC(4H) were low as compared with those of Ti/SiC(4H). The Sb/SiC(4H), as well as the Ti/SiC(4H), can be utilized as the Shottky barrier contact for the high-power electronic device.

We bred new mulberry cultivar through local adaptability test, which was registered as a new cultivar for fruit production. Local adaptability test had been carried out at three places(Suwon, Chuncheon and Jinju) for four years since 2003. This is tetraploidy variety belonging to (Morus Lhou(Ser.) Koidz.) made by colchicine treatment on growing point of winter buds. Daejappong was high yielding in productivity by 3% compared to control cultivar "Chungilppong" for two years. The sugar contents of Daejappong was higher than that of control cultivar 'Chungilppong(Morus alba L.)'. It is adaptable to every where except the places where cold damage and sclerotic disease happen frequently.
Occurrence of popcorn disease on mulberry fruits was surveyed in several locations in Korea from 2005 to 2007. The diseased fruits turned grayish white and changed to hard and black sclerotia during overwintering after falling onto the ground. Apothecia produced from overwintered sclerotia in the fields of mulberry trees were observed in early May. Two types of apothecia were produced from the sclerotia, which were cup-shaped or club-shaped. The fungus with cup-shaped apothecia was identified as Ciboria shiraiana, and that with club-shaped apothecia as Scleromitrula shiraiana. C. shiraiana occurred at the ratio of about 6 vs. 4 in the fields. Occurrence of the disease differed remarkably depending on years, locations, and varieties of mulberry trees investigated. Field survey of the disease incidence showed that Baekhahyeongsang, Dahojosaeng, Hasusang, a native variety and Sawonppong 22 were resistant to the disease, Cheongilppong, Daeseongppong, Guksang 20 and Turkey-D were moderately susceptible, and Cateneo, Moreji and Sanggwa were highly susceptible. Disease incidence in the fields mulched with nonwoven fabrics or plastic films was much lower than that in the non-mulched fields. Disease incidence in the fields mulched with rice straws was similar to that in the non-mulched fields.
This study puts its focus on Honjeon space which relatively small number of precedent studies chose as a subject of a study. The objective is to analyze Honjeon space's spatial relationship and palaces that consist Honjeon through analysis of spatial configuration and elements that affected construction of Honjeon space. The Royal Funeral, among other ceremonies of Joseon Dysnasty, carries religious characteristic along with functional and structural characteristics. By analyzing "National Five Rites", "Uigwe for the State Funeral 魂殿都監儀軌", and "Annals of Joseon Dynasty", the study organized elementary details about Honjeon space and surrounding spaces to determine the symbolism of Honjeon space's location at each palace and compared them to see if any systematical features existed between Honjeon spaces of each palace. Through this study, it was apparent the king mainly used Jaseongdang Hall of Gyeongbokgung in the early period of Joseon Dynasty and he mainly used Sunjeongjun of Changdeokgung while the queen used Munjeongjun of Changgyeonggung as the time reached the later period of Joseon Dynasty. Also in determination of Honjeon space, the study found that there were records of avoiding Pyeonjeon space in need for political space. The study also determined that places other than Pyeonjeon space was intended to be used for Honjeon space through the analysis which indicates that spaces that were initially used as Pyeonjun in the early Joseon Dynasty and simultaneously as Honjeon space were moved due to changes made in terms of theirs usages. Through the study, it could be also known that primary spaces of Honjeon was composed accordingly to "National Five Rites" and constant pattern of spaces existed among buildings near Honjeon which were arranged according to each palace's characteristic.
