We reported an unrecorded species from Korean flora, Sedum makinoi found at Mt. Sung-am, Sajung-dong, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The species is distinguished from other Korean species of section Seda-genuina by flat and orbicular leaves and opposite phyllotaxy on flowering shoots. Description and illustration of the species and photos of the habitat are provided.

Four species of Crambidae, Patania brevipennis (Inoue, 1982); Herpetogramma tominagai Yamanaka, 2003; Aethaloessa calidalis (Guenée, 1854); Anania subfumalis (Munroe et Mutuura, 1971), are reported for the first time from Korea. The genus Aethaloessa is new to the Korean fauna. Photos of external and genital features are provided for those species. Subspecies assignment and occurrence status in Korea are discussed for Aethaloessa calidalis and Anania subfumalis.

Fleshy fungi were collected during field trips to mountain areas throughout the country from October in 1994 to June in 1995. Through the observation and identification of specimens belonging to the wood-rotting fungi of the Aphyllophorales, one genus, Phlebiopsis, and six species, Athelia bombacina, Ceraceomyces sublaevis, Hyphoderma sibiricum, Hyphodontia arguta, Phlebiopsis gigantea, and Radulomyces confluens were confirmed as new corticioid fungi to Korea and are registered here with descriptions.

Wood-rotting fungi of the Aphyllophorales were collected through field trips to mountain areas of the country from January to December of 1997. Through the observation and identification of specimens, two genera, Meruliopsis (type species=M. taxicola) and Pseudomerulius (type species=P. aureus), and four species, Phanerochaete calotricha, Phanerochaete chrysorhiza, Meruliopsis corium, and Pseudomerulius aureus were confirmed as new wood-rotting fungi to Korea and are registered here with descriptions.

We isolated endophytic fungal strains from roots of Rhododendron schlippenbachii growing in Minjujisan mountain, Korea. The two strains were identified as Engyodontium album and Phaeosphaeria microscopica based on their morphological characteristics and sequence analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and large subunit regions of the ribosomal DNA. These two species, E. album and P. microscopica, have not been previously reported in Korea.

The family Ciidae is presented for the first time from Korea. Two unrecorded species, Octotemnus laminifrons (Motschulsky) and Octotemnus japonicus Miyatake are reported. Morphological photographs of adults, description, illustrations of diagnostic characteristics, and host fungi are provided.

Fourteen new records of yeasts were screened from one hundred thirty-three yeasts strains which were isolated from wild flowers in east, west and south coast near areas and inland areas, Korea. Candida silvae, Cryptococcus terrestris and Auriculibuller fuscus were newly isolated from wild flowers collected at Donghae and Andong, respectively. Candida quercitrusa, Hanseniaspora opuntiae, Sporobolomyces carnicolor, Candida saopaulonensis and Sporobolomyces phaffii were newly isolated from wild flowers in Geumsan-gun and Taean-gun in Chungcheongnam-do, respectively. Candida oleophila and Jaminaea angkoriensis were newly identified from flowers in Yesan-gun and Hannaella zeae was also newly identified from flowers of Daecheon. Hanseniaspora vineae and two other yeast strains including Pseudozyma hubeiensis were newly isolated and identified from flowers collected at Gwangju and Wando-gun, respectively. Morphological and physiological characteristics of their new recorded yeasts were investigated.

The Korean species of the genera Cremastus Gravenhorst, 1829 and Pristomerus Curtis, 1836 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) are studied. Here we report three species, Cremastus crassitibialis Uchida, 1940, Pristomerus rufiabdominalis Uchida, 1928 and P. scutellaris Uchida, 1932, new to South Korea. Among them genus Cremastus is recorded for the first time from South Korea. The number of Korean Cremastinae is now 11 species in four genera including the three newly recorded species. A key to the genera of Korean Cremastinae, diagnosis of newly recorded species and photographs of redescriptions characters are provided.

The genus Italochrysa Principi in Korea has been recorded with only one species, I. japonica (McLachlan) so far. Here we report that Italochrysa nigrovenosa Kuwayama is recognized for the first time in Korea. Specific description, a key based on diagnostic characters, and adult and genital images of the species are provided.
