"Borderless village" is a kind of alternative social project to build a multi cultural community of migrant workers around Wongok-Dong, Ansan leaded by Ansan Migrant Center since 1999. We thought this project deserved attention from a view point of social sciences for such reasons as follows. (1)This project could give an opportunity for us to examine the concrete effects of globalization on local areas and responses of these areas to those ones. (2)This project was composed of theoretical concepts very similar to those of reflexive modernization theory. So by examining this project we could have a chance to judge the validity of the latter. (3)The process of making discourses on this project was very interesting. It looks like more democratic and constructive one than others. (4)This project proposed the problem of creating a new form or way of social movement different from so called 'old or new social movements.' Our provisional conclusion of this study was this project could be estimated as very creative and progressive one but it was too abstract to be realistic and effective yet.

Scientists and engineers without borders (SEWB) was established on 2009 as the NGO having specialist groups to support the underprivileged in developing countries living in the isolated area and having water and sanitation problems. After the SDGs were suggested by the UN on 2016, activities are globally conducted by the nation, NGO and etc. to improve health and education of the underprivileged in developing countries. SEWB also have been conducted the projects in Korea and developing countries to reduce the gap of the infrastructure between the developed and developing countries and to help sustainable development in the developing countries by providing appropriate technology. In Korea, SEWB have been held international conference on appropriate technology (ICAT), lectures, and competitions for specialists and students. In developing countries including Cambodia and other 5 countries, SEWB have been provided water packages funded by iCOOP KOREA and volunteer opportunities. Since 2019, 'SEWB sustainable village development project' have been conducted in Bot Veng village, Cambodia to improve infrastructures on water, electricity, transportation, and agriculture by using desalination system, Solar Cow system, strengthened wooden bridge, and poultry farm, respectively. The developed solution for developing countries from SEWB could contribute to eliminate the water shortage and poverty.

최근 중국 등 인잡국가에서 구제역 조류인플루엔자가 계속 발생 확산됨에 따라 국립수의과학검역원은 2009년 4월 15일 축산분야 상산자단차를 대상으로 국경검역 현장방문을 실시하였다. 이 현장방문에는 한국오리협회 이강현 전무, 허관행 사원 및 각 협회 및 단체의 주요 임직원들이 참여하였다.

철새가 대한민국 땅을 찾아 오는 겨울이 어김없이 다가오고 있다. 철새 도래와 함께 AI 발생 위험도가 높아지고 있는 가운데 지난 10월 23일 천안시 병천천의 야생조류 분변시료에서 H5형 AI 항원이 검출됐다. 최종 바이러스에서는 AI가 미검출됐지만 본격적인 AI 위험시기가 도래했음을 예고하고 있다. 농림축산식품부는 '19.10월부터 '20.2월가지 AI 특별방역대책기간으로 정하고 강도 높은 방역에 돌입했다. 농식품부에 따르면 대만, 중국, 러시아 등 주변국에서는 AI가 지속적으로 발생하고 있으며, 이들 국가에서 우리나라로 오는 겨울철새는 '19.10.22일 기준 지난해 동기보다 34%나 증가('18년 455천수${\rightarrow}$'19년 611천수)한 것으로 조사됐다. 충북, 충남 등 철새도래지에서 AI 항원이 지속적으로 검출되고 있으며, 겨울 철새는 내년 초까지 계속 늘어날 전망이다. 설상가상 ASF(아프리카돼지열병)가 국내 최초로 발생됨에 따라 모든 방역 인력과 장비 등 물자가 총 동원되고 있는 실정이다. 국경방역의 중요성이 그 어느 때보다 강조되는 지금 가금농가, 지자체, 농식품부는 혼신을 다해 AI 차단방역에 신경을 써야 한다. 이에 이기중 농림축산식품부 조류인플루엔자 방역과장으로부터 오리농가가 알아야 할 기분적인 방역수칙과 달라진 고강도 방역정책에 대해 들어본다.
