다양한 활성제 이온이 치환 고용된 MgNb2O6 형광체의 특성

  • 최근에 산화물 형광체는 황화물 형광체에 비해 높은 화학적 안정성을 나타내기 때문에 백색 발광 다이오드, 전계방출 디스플레이와 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널에 그 응용성을 넓히고 있다. 마그네슘 니오베이트(magnesium niobate, MgNb2O6)는 우수한 유전 특성(상대 유전상수=18.4)을 나타내기 때문에 마이크로파 유전체로 응용 가능하며, 단일상 릴랙서 페라브스카이트(relaxor perovskite) Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3을 합성하기 위한 전구체 (precursor)로 널리 사용되고 있으며, 나이오븀산염 이온에서 다양한 색상을 방출하는 활성제 이온으로 효율적인 에너지 전달이 일어남으로써 Sm3+, Dy3+, Eu3+와 같은 희토류 이온의 좋은 모체 격자로 개발할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 마그네슘 니오베이트 MgNb2O6 모체 결정에 다양한 활성제 이온, 즉 Eu3+, Sm3+, Dy3+, Tb3+를 선택적으로 주입하여 발광 효율이 높은 천연색 형광체를 합성하고자 한다. 특히, 모체 결정에 주입되는 활성제 이온 주위의 국소적인 환경이 반전 대칭에서 변형되는 척도를 조사하여 활성제의 주 발광 파장의 세기가 최대가 되는 최적의 조건을 결정하고자 한다. Mg1-1.5xNb2O6:REx3+ 형광체 분말 시료는 초기 물질 MgO, Nb2O5와 희토류 이온을 화학 반응식에 맞게 정밀 저울로 측량하여 플라스틱 용기에 ZrO2 볼과 함께 넣고, 소정의 에탄올을 채운 뒤 밀봉하고서, 300 rpm의 속도로 20시간 볼밀 (ball-mill) 작업을 수행하였다. 그 후, 체(sieve)로 ZrO2 볼을 걸러낸 다음에 혼합된 용액을 각 비커에 담아서 $40^{\circ}C$의 건조기에서 24시간 건조하였고, 건조된 시료를 막자 사발에 넣고 잘게 갈고 80 ${\mu}m$의 체로 걸러낸 후에, 알루미나 도가니에 활성제 이온별로 각각 담아, 전기로에 장입하여 매분당 $5^{\circ}C$의 비율로 온도를 상승시켜 $350^{\circ}C$에서 5시간 동안 하소 공정을 실시한 후에, 온도를 계속 일정한 율로 증가시켜 $1,200^{\circ}C$에서 5시간 동안 소성하여 합성하였다. 합성된 형광체 분말의 결정 구조는 $Cu-K{\alpha}$ 복사선(파장: 1.5406)을 사용하여 X-선회절장치로 측정하였으며, 형광체의 표면 형상은 전계형 주사전자현미경으로 관측하였다. 흡광와 발광스펙트럼은 제논 램프를 광원으로 갖는 형광 광도계를 사용하여 측정하였다. 모체 결정에 활성제 이온 Eu3+, Sm3+, Dy3+, Tb3+가 도핑된 형광체 분말은 각각 적색, 주황색, 황색, 녹색 발광이 관측되었다. 각 발광 스펙트럼과 결정 입자의 크기와 형상 사이의 상호 관계를 조사하였다. 실험 결과로부터, 각 형광체의 발광 파장은 활성제 이온의 종류 와 서로 밀접하게 관련되어 있으며, 형광체 시료 합성시 활성제 이온의 농도를 선택적으로 조절함으로써 발광의 세기를 제어할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Experiment for Reduction Effectiveness of Pollutants with the Improvement of Infiltration Ability in Vegetation Filter Strip (식생여과대내 침투능력 향상에 따른 오염물질 저감효과에 대한 실험)

  • Soil layer in vegetation filter strip is one of the very important factor for reduction of non-point pollutants by physical, chemical and biological reactions of it through infiltration process. This study was carried out to prepare more effective vegetation filter strip through modification of soil layer for river water quality improvement. Therefore, the main aims of this study are to compare and evaluate normal (straighten type) and modified (step type) vegetation filter strip, which make artificially change the soil layer to improve infiltration ability, through bench scale experiments. In the results of this study, vegetation filter strip of step type is much more highly reduction effectiveness of pollutants in surface flow compared with normal vegetation filter strip. In case of below effluent, however, it appeared that the vegetation filter strip modified soil layer showed lower reduction effectiveness of pollutants than the general vegetation filter strip. This result was judged because effluent through the vegetation filter strip of step type passed bigger size of aggregate or sand than the vegetation filter strip of straighten type. If we compare it as a definition of pollutant load to estimate total amount of reduced pollutants by vegetation filter strip, reduced pollutants load by step type showed higher than those by straighten type because below effluent amount relied on total effluent amount was higher at step type (4%) than at straighten type (2%). In conclusion, the vegetation filter strip of step type to improve infiltration effect is much more reduction effectiveness of pollutants than vegetation filter strip of straighten type.

  • Uncertainty analysis is used to eliminate the climatic variables of input nodes and construct the model of an optimal type from COMBINE-GRNNM-GA(Type-1), which have been developed in this issue(2007). The input variable which has the lowest smoothing factor during the training performance, is eliminated from the original COMBINE-GRNNM-GA (Type-1). And, the modified COMBINE-GRNNM-GA(Type-1) is retrained to find the new and lowest smoothing factor of the each climatic variable. The input variable which has the lowest smoothing factor, implies the least useful climatic variable for the model output. Furthermore, The sensitive and insensitive climatic variables are chosen from the uncertainty analysis of the input nodes. The optimal COMBINE-GRNNM-GA(Type-1) is developed to estimate and calculate the PE which is missed or ungaged and the $ET_r$ which is not measured with the least cost and endeavor Finally, the PE and $ET_r$. maps can be constructed to give the reference data for drought and irrigation and drainage networks system analysis using the optimal COMBINE-GRNNM-GA(Type-1) in South Korea.

X-선 회절분석을 이용한 일라이트-스멕타이트 기본입자의 적층성에 관한 연구

  • 일라이트-스멕타이트 혼합층광물(I-S)은 열역학적으로 상호 대립적인 두 가지 모델로 이해되고 있다. 첫째, MacEwan 결정자 모델은 I-S를 5-20개의 스멕타이트와 일라이트 층으로 구성된 결정자로 해석한다. 이러한 모델은 분산과 재응집 과정을 기초로 하는 X-선 회절분석(XRD)에서 기인한 것으로 Reynolds의 XRD 모델과 동일하다. 둘째, 기본입자 모델은 I-S를 물리적으로 분리될 수 있는 최소 입자인 기본입자가 $c^{*-}$축 방향으로 응집된 응집체로 해석한다. 이러한 모델은 분산 과정을 기초로 하는 주사전자현미경(TEM) 관찰에서 기인한 모델이다. 강일모 등(2002)은 이 두 가지 모델을 비교함으로써 1< $N_{F}$<100/% $S_{XRD}$ ( $N_{F}$=평균 기본입자 층개수, %$S_{XRD}$=XRD 분석을 통하여 측정된 팽창성)을 도출하였다. 이 식은 기본입자모델과 Eberl & Srodon(1988)이 제시한 최대 팽창성(%$S_{MAX}$)을 동시에 해석할 수 있게 해준다. %$S_{MAX}$는 XRD 모델에서는 고려하지 않는 I-S 결정자 상$\cdot$하부에 존재하는 두 개의 0.5nm 규산염층을 하나의 스멕타이트 층으로 간주하여 얻어진 팽창성이다. Srodon et al.(1992)은 %$S_{MAX}$=100/ $N_{F}$을 제시하였으며, 강일모 등(2002)은 %$S_{MAX}$는 기하학적으로 기본입자가 무한적층을 하였을 때 관찰되는 %$S_{XRD}$와 동일함을 밝힌 바 있다. 만약, XRD 분석을 위한 시료 준비과정에서 I-S 결정자가 분산되었다가 재응집을 한다면, XRD에서 관찰되는 결과는 일차적으로 기본입자의 적층성에 영향을 받게 된다. 따라서, 기본 입자의 적층성은 XRD 분석을 이용하여 I-S 구조를 해석하는데 매우 중요한 요인이다. 본 연구는 기본입자의 적층성을 정량화하기 위해 %$S_{XRD}$=A/ $N_{F}$ (0$S_{MAX}$=100/ $N_{F}$로부터 얼마나 벗어나 있는가는 지시해 준다 금성산화산암복합체에서 산출되는 11개 I-S 시료와 14개의 Drits et al.(1998) 자료로부터 1nA=-0.14 $N_{F}$+4.7의 실험식을 도출할 수 있었으며, 기본입자의 적층성은 일차적으로 기본입자의 두께에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 관찰되었다. Nadeau(1985)는 기본입자두께분포로부터 I-S 결정자의 팽창성을 측정하기 위하여 Ps=$\Sigma$p(N)/N을 제시하였다(Ps=스멕타이트 층 비율, N=기본 입자 층개수, p(N)=N의 확율). 그러나 위식은 실질적으로 %$S_{MAX}$를 제공해주기 때문에 %$S_{XRD}$를 유추하는데는 부적합하다. 본 연구는 이를 변형하여 Ps=$\Sigma$p(N)A(N)/N을 제시하였다(A(N)=N에 대한 A값). 위의 실험식을 사용하여 헝가리산 Zempleni 시료(15%$S_{XRD}$)의 기본입자분포로부터 %$S_{XRD}$를 계산한 결과, 16%$S_{XRD}$의 결과값을 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 도출한 관계식들이 유효함을 확인할 수 있었다.계식들이 유효함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The thermal behavior and the crystallographic characteristics of an epitaxial $C49-TiSi_2$ island formed in a Si (001) substrate by $N_2$, treatment were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). It was found from the analyzed results that the epitaxial $C49-TiSi_2$ was thermally stable even at high temperature of $1000^{\circ}C$ therefore did not transform into the C54-stable phase and did not deform morphologically. HRTEM results clearly showed that the epitaxial $TiSi_2$ phase and Si have the orientation relationship of (060)[001]$TiSi_2$//(002)[110]Si, and the lattice strain energy at the interface was mostly relaxed by the formation of misfit dislocations. Furthermore, the mechanism on the formation of the epitaxial $_C49-TiSi2$ in Si and stacking faults lying on the (020) plane of the C49 Phase were discussed through the analysis of the HRTEM image and the atomic modeling.

Synthesis of YSZ Thin Films by PECVD (PECVD에 의한 YSZ(Yttria Stabilized Zirconia)박막 제조)

  • A Abstract Yttria-stabilized zirconia(YSZ) thin films were synthesized by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition process. $Zr[TMHD]_4$ $Y[TMHD]_3$ precursors and oxygen were used with the deposition temperature of $425^{\circ}C$ and rf power ranging 0-100 watt. Effects of the deposition parameters were studied by X-ray diffraction and thickness anal­ysis. YSZ thin films have cubic crystal structure with (200) orientation. From the results of EDX analysis, the converte ed content of TEX>$Y_2O_3$ was determined to be 0-36%, and the film thickness was increased with bubbling temperature which is considered to be due to increasing TEX>$Y_2O_3$ flux. The depth profiles of Zr, Y and 0 appeared relatively $\infty$nstant through film thickness. Columnar grains of $1000~2000\AA$ grew vertical to the substrate surface for the case of Ar carri­er gas. In case of He carrier gas, the grain size was observed to be about $1000~2000\AA$. X-ray diffraction data showed the increase of lattice constant with TEX>$Y_2O_3$ content. It was that the presence of the cracks formed during film deposition, partially released the stress generated by the increase of lattice constant.

Shear Behavior of Rough Granite Joints Under CNS Conditions (일정 수직강성 조건하 화강암 인장절리의 전단거동 특성)

  • Stability and mechanical deformation behavior of rock masses are highly dependent on the mechanical characteristics of contained discontinuities. Therefore, mechanical characteristics of the discontinuities should be considered in the design of tunnel and underground structures. In this study, direct shear tests for rough granite joints were carried out under constant normal stiffness conditions. Effects of initial normal stress, shear velocity, and surface roughness on the characteristics of shear strength and deformation behaviors were examined. Results of shear testing under constant normal stiffness conditions reveal that shear behaviors could be classified into two categories, based on the amount of decrease in shear stress at the Int peak shear stress. With initial normal stiffness increasing, it turned out that shear displacement at peak stress and the first peak shear stress increased, however friction angle and friction coefficient showed decrease. In case of shear stiffness and average friction coefficient, it turned out that they are not dependent on the initial normal stress. Minor effects of shear velocity on rough joints were observed in several shear quantities. However, the effects of shear velocity were insignificant regardless of the normal stress increase. Change of shear strength and deformation characteristics on joint roughness were examined, however, it turned out that the variations were attributed to deviation of shear test specimens.

Ultrastructural and Immunohistochemical Study of Hepatic Fibrosis after the Ligation of the Common Bile Duct in Rats (백서의 총담관 결찰에 의한 간 섬유화의 초미세구조적 및 면역조직화학적 연구)

  • Purpose: Proliferation of bile duct-like structures and fibrosis is a hepatic cellular reaction observed in most forms of human liver disease and in a variety of experimental conditions associated with liver injury. The aim of this study was to investigate the activation of Ito cells and bile duct proliferation in the rat after common bile duct ligation (CBDL). Methods: Hepatic morphological abnormalities were examined in rats whose bile ducts had been irreversibly ligated for 15, 21, 24 and 28 days. The liver was examined by immunohistochemical staining for ${\alpha}$-smooth muscle actin, the known marker of activated Ito cells, and light and electron microscopes. Results: After CBDL, the bile canalicular proliferation and interstitial fibrosis were gradually increased in the periportal areas extended to hepatic sinusoids. Ito cells positive for ${\alpha}$-smooth muscle actin were frequently observed in the periductular space and in perisinusoidal space of Disse. Ito cells and myofibroblasts were gradually increased in the interstitial fibrosis until the 28th day after CBDL. Ito cells and myofibroblasts had microfilaments with dense body at the periphery of the cell. Conclusions: Our results suggest that Ito cells may be fibroblastic or myogenic. It has also been postulated that during the development of hepatic fibrosis, Ito cells become myofibroblasts or fibroblast like cells.

  • Among many types of light rail transits (LRT), the rubber-tired automated guide-way transit (AGT) is prevalent in many countries due to its advantages such as good acceleration/deceleration performance, high climb capacity, and reduction of noise and vibration. However, AGT is generally powered by high-voltage electric power feeding system and it may cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) to measurement sensors. The fiber optic sensor system is free from EMI and has been successfully applied in many applications of civil engineering. Especially, fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors are the most widely used because of their excellent multiplexing capabilities. This paper investigates a prestressed concrete girder bridge in the Korean AGT test track using FBG based sensors to monitor the dynamic response at various vehicle speeds. The serviceability requirements provided in the specification are also compared against the measured results. The results show that the measured data from FBG based sensors are free from EMI though electric sensors are not, especially in the case of electric strain gauge. It is expected that the FBG sensing system can be effectively applied to the LRT railway bridges that suffered from EMI.

Screening of anti-obesity drugs, their analogues and prohibited ingredients in slimming foods (식품 중 부정 혼입된 비만치료제 및 사용금지 성분 실태조사)

  • Globally, obesity has been recognized as a serious health problem. Recently, slimming foods for weight loss and maintenance were found to contain anti-obesity drugs, their analogues, and prohibited ingredients. To avoid inspections by the Government, structurally modified analogs have been continuously synthesized. For rapid determination of adulterated slimming products, we simultaneously analyzed 21 illegal compounds using liquid chromatography (LC) equipped with photo diode array, and LC coupled with tandem mass spectrometry. The validation of the method was performed with regard to selectivity, linearity, limit of detection, limit of quantification, precision, and accuracy. We purchased 128 samples from the Korean market and online sources in the year 2015. In 31 samples, 3 illegal compounds were detected as follows: 9.9-135.3 mg/g of sibutramine, 0.2-17.5 mg/g of yohimbine, and 1.8 mg/g of icariin. This simultaneous detection method might prove to be a simple and rapid analysis for monitoring illegal compounds in slimming foods.
