Optimal Design for Heterogeneous Adder Organization Using Integer Linear Programming (정수 선형 프로그래밍을 이용한 혼합 가산기 구조의 최적 설계)

  • Lots of effort toward design optimizations have been paid for a cost-effective system design in various ways from a transistor level to RTL designs. In this paper, we propose a bit level optimization of an adder design for expanding its design space. For the bit-level optimization, a heterogeneous adder organization utilizing a mixture of carry propagation schemes is proposed to design a delay-area efficient adder which were not available in an ordinary design space. Then, we develop an optimization method based on Integer Linear Programming to search the expanded design space of the heterogeneous adder. The novelty of the Proposed architecture and optimization method is introducing a bit level reconstruction/recombination of IPs which have same functionality but different speed and area characteristics for producing more find-grained delay-area optimization.

  • The programming(algorithm) automated assessment system is to evaluate automatically the accuracy and time/space efficiency of user's solution to the problem which is provided. This system gives the immediate feedback of the solution, real-time ranking. So, in the course of data structure and algorithm, we can apply the knowledge which we have learned to the problem solving. Especially, in the basic course of learning the syntax of the programming language, the novice student can learn in easy and fun by solving the simple problem. The university students can understand in the easy way the meaning of asymptotic analysis of algorithm in data structure & algorithm course.

  • The object-oriented (OO) distributed real-time (RT) programming movement started in 1990´s and is growing rapidly at this turn of the century. Distributed real-time simulation is a field in its infancy but it is bounded to receive steadily growing recognition for its importance and wide applicability. The scheme is called the distributed time-triggered simulation scheme which is conceptually simple and easy to use but widely applicable. A new generation object oriented (OO) RT programming scheme is called the time-triggered message triggered object(TMO) programming scheme and it is used to make specific illustrations of the issues. The TMO structuring scheme is a general-style components structuring scheme and supports design of all types of component including hard real time objects and non real time objects within one general structure.

  • A transition-based Objet-oriented programming system(TOPS) is a transition-based object-oriented system suitable for development of various concurrent systems.A TOPS consists of a collection of interacting structural active objects(SAOs),and their behaviors are determined by the transition statements provided in their class definitions.Furthermore,SAOs can be structurally and hierarchcally composed from their component SAOs like hardware commponents. These features allow SAOs to model components for circuit simulation more naturally than passive objects used in ordinary object-oriented programming. Also,we can easily add new kinds of components by using the inheritance mechanism.Executions of transition statements may be eventand/or time-driven, and hence digital,and mixed-mode simulation is possible.Prototype simulation programs with graphical user interfaces have been developed as TOPS progrms for digital,analog,and mixed-mode circuit simulation.

  • We introduce some well-known approaches to formalization and automatization of the meta-theory of a programming language with binders. They represent the trends in POPLmark Challenge. We demonstrate some characteristics of each approach by showing how to formalize some basic notations and concepts of Lambda-calculus using the proof assistant Coq.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the programming language teaching materials for the gifted of information with using the game. There are many curricula for teaching the information and technology to the gifted of information. There are not differences between these programs and the general IT curricula. The gifted of information has some complains about his curriculum(58/60, 96.67%). So this study developed the alternative programming language teaching materials for the gifted of information. This study concluded the effects of alternative materials for teaching programming language depend on learners' academic achievement about programming language with game activity. This study also looks forward to being able to indicate new direction to develop the teaching materials for the gifted of information.

  • There has been several meaning full efforts to save costs on system development and expand the life-time of a system in changeful IT circumstance. It was a module-based architecture that empower productivity at structured programming era. But it couldn't grow nor evolve, but could raise only calling frequency of module. But OOP or OO-method overcome limit of structured programing by class inheritance and/or overloading and/or over-riding. A component centric architecture, what is mixture of distributed systems, like CORBA or DCOM with OOP, can support not only high reusability or expansion of life-time but also Plug-&-Play between them. To assemble these component to build a new system in easy way, the well-formed specification of a component is highly required. At this study, the enhanced referential component architecture and its UML specification will be suggested.

  • 플랫폼과 프로그래밍 언어에 상관없이 애플리케이션을 이용할 수 있는 웹서비스가 차세대 플랫폼의 대안으로 부상하고 있다. 현재의 웹서비스는 XML을 이용한 애플리케이션 통합에 중점을 두고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹서비스를 이용한 네트워크 관리 시스템의 구조를 제안한다. 또한 다양한 플랫폼. 프로그래밍 언어를 이용하여 개발되어 있는 기존의 개별적인 네트워크 관리 시스템에 웹서비스를 도입하는 방안을 제시한다. 본 논문의 웹서비스 네트워크 관리 시스템은 에이전트를 이용하여 사용자가 요청한 웹서비스를 탐색. 전달해 준다.

  • 상위의 타입 구조를 갖춘 (higher-order and typed) nML을 고안하고 그 컴파일러를 개발하였다. nML은 프로그래밍 언어 분야의 중요한 성과들을 충실히 실현한 언어로서, Standard ML과 Objective Caml 장점과 실제 프로그래밍 세계의 관성을 염두에 두고 정의되었다. nML 컴파일러의 실용성과 안전성은 이미 여러 응용 시스템 소프트웨어의 개발로 실험되고 있다. 이 전통적인 컴파일러 시스템에 본 연구단의 프로그램 분석기술들이 장착되면서, 실시간 안전성 검증이 가능하고, 작고, 자발적인 적응력 있는 코드를 만들어내는 컴파일러로 발전하는 발판이 마련되었다.

  • Refactoring is an engineering technique for securing the quality of existing legacy code, improving the internal structure without changing the functionality of the software. Along with the reuse of open source software, reuse of source code through programming language conversion is increasingly required due to technical or market requirements. In this situation, the refactoring technique including language conversion as well as energy efficiency is considered to be an important means for improving the productivity and the quality of embedded software development. This paper proposes a code refactoring technique that converts the grammar and structure of a programming language into those of a different language through comparison and mapping, in addition to the existing energy efficient refactoring technique. The use of the proposed refactoring technique can expect to improve the competitiveness of the product through rapid software development and quality improvement by coping with the environment change of the software development language and enhancing the reuse of the existing code.
