Structural Analysis of TPU Membrane Plate in Multi-purpose Module for Solid-liquid Separation (TPU 재질을 적용한 다목적 고액분리 모듈의 여과판 구조해석)

  • Polypropylene is the main existing material in the domestic market being used for the filter plate because of its moldability, low cost, and commercial availability. Polypropylene filter plate once distorted due to the high-pressure during operation may cause the problem in the continuous operation of the solid-liquid separation module. Thermoplastic Poly Urethane (TPU) can be a high-performance alternative material for the filter plate in the solid-liquid separation module of the dehydration process. Hence, to predict and evaluate the TPU for structural stability in the filter plate through analytical techniques designed and experimental verification is essential. As a result, TPU filter plate had maximum strain of 27.85 MPa at 20 bar pressure condition. This result is less than TPU stress-strain limit, which ensures the structural stability of the TPU material.

Evaluation of Track irregularity due to Adjacent Excavation Work on Serviced Urban Transit (도시철도 인접굴착공사에 따른 운행선 궤도의 궤도틀림 분석)

  • In this study, finite element analysis was performed to evaluate the track irregularity of the existing track system on urban transit according to the large-scale excavation work that is constructed adjacent to the serviced line. Based on the numerical analysis, the effect of track irregularity generated during the step-by-step construction process was analytically derived, and the stability in terms of track deformation was evaluated through comparison with related standards. As the results, in the case of track irregularity items evaluated based on the relative displacement difference at a certain distance, such as alignment and vertical irregularity, it occurred most clearly at the location where deformation of the existing structure begins, such as the end point of adjacent excavation work. On the other hand, the overall vertical and horizontal displacement of the track was the largest deformation at the center of the construction section. The vulnerable position of the deformed side of the existing structure due to adjacent excavation is analytically proven that the both of the end point section and the center of the construction can be a vulnerable position in terms of track irregularity.

  • After the construction (1398 year at first, secondarily reconstructed at 1448 year), the Soongryemoon (South Gate) had been preserved to late 19c without large damages. The present shape of the gate have been kept after the repairments of two times (1953, 1963). However, the rocks constituting the walls of the gate have been strongly weathered, exfoliated and cracked due to severe changes in the environment as traffic increase, air pollution and the subway which may seem also to cause the structural unstability. The rocks composed of the walls of the gate are almost of granites. On the rocks such deteriorations as onion structure, surface exfoliation, cracks, and edge breakout are developed. These deteriorations may be caused genetically by strong weathering, differential load due to possibly structural unstability, impact and unknown reasons. For the establishment of conservation plan, the factors of these deterioration phenomena and structural unstability must be quantitatively analyzed and diagnosed in detail.

  • 본 논문은 비선형 스트럿-타이 모델에 의한 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 정착부의 거동해석 및 설계에 관한 연구이다. 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 구조물의 정착부는 긴장재의 인장력 도입으로 인해 비교적 작은 단면에 큰 집중하중으로 발생하는 매우 중요한 구조부위이며, 기존의설계가 비교적 다른 구조부위의설계에 비하여 경험적으로 이루어지고 있을 뿐 만 아니라 해석에도 많은 시간과 계산량이 소요되는 단점이 있다. 비선형 스트럿-타이 모델을 대상 정착부의 비선형 재료거동을 따르도록 비선형 해석을 실시하여 설계를 수행하고 구조물의 극한하중을 추정하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 긴장력이 정착부의 중앙에 도입되는 경우, 편심으로 도입되는 경우, 다중 정착구가 존재하는 경우에 대하여 선형과 비선형 스트럿-타이 모델을 구성하여 정착부의 역학적 거동을 고찰하였고 실험결과와 비교하였다. 비교로부터 비선형 모델을 사용한 경우 선형 모델을 사용한 경우보다 안정성을 유지하면서 경제적인 설계가 가능하고 추정극학강도도 실험결과에 더욱 근접함을 알았다.

  • 본 논문은 무선 전력 및 데이터를 동시에 전송하는 교량 구조 건전성 진단 시스템에 관한 것이다. 무선 전력 전송을 이용하여, 교량 내부에 위치한 구조 건전성 진단을 위한 센서에 전원을 공급한다. 그리고 센서에서 검출된 데이터를 부가적인 통신회로 없이, 교량 외부로 전송한다. 이러한 교량 구조 건전성 진단 시스템은 기존 방식에 비하여 교량 유지 보수 비용을 줄일 수 있는 장점을 가진다. 제안한 교량 구조 건전성 진단 시스템은 높은 효율로 전력을 전송하며, 동시에 8단계의 교량 손상도 데이터를 전송한다. 결과적으로, 제안한 시스템은 교량의 내부의 센서에 무선전력전송을 이용하여 안정적인 전원을 공급하며, 교량의 손상 정도에 관한 물리적 데이터를 부가회로없이 무선전력전송용 공진기를 통해서 전달할 수 있다.

  • Stay-cable is one of the most important load carrying members in cable-stayed bridges. Monitoring structural integrity of stay-cables is crucial for evaluating the structural condition of the cable-stayed bridge. For stay-cables, tension and damping ratio are estimated based on modal properties as a measure of structural integrity. Since the monitoring system continuously measures the vibration for the long-term period, data acquisition systems should be stable and power-efficiency as the hardware system. In addition, massive signals from the data acquisition systems are continuously generated, so that automated analysis system should be indispensable. In order to fulfill these purpose simultaneously, this study presents an autonomous cable monitoring system based on domain-knowledge using IoT for continuous cable monitoring systems of cable-stayed bridges. An IoT system was developed to provide effective and power-efficient data acquisition and on-board processing capability for Edge-computing. Automated peak-picking algorithm using domain knowledge was embedded to the IoT system in order to analyze massive data from continuous monitoring automatically and reliably. To evaluate its operational performance in real fields, the developed autonomous monitoring system has been installed on a cable-stayed bridge in Korea. The operational performance are confirmed and validated by comparing with the existing system in terms of data transmission rates, accuracy and efficiency of tension estimation.

  • The results of laboratory experiments with microcosms containing Daphnia magna and Chlorella vulgaris demonstrated decrease of the structural exergy of artificial communities after the addition of model toxicants phenol and cobalt chloride. Structural exergy changes were more expressed than changes of components biomasses and total biomass of the community. It once more points to the possibility of the use structural exergy as ecosystem health reflecting parameter.

  • 고분해능 투과전자현미경을 이용하여 PRAM소자의 상변화물질인 $Ge_{2}Sb_{2}Te_{5}(GST)$의 결정화에 관해 미세구조 분석을 수행하였다. 결정성을 측정하는 일반적인 방법인 XRD법에 비해 고분해능 투과전자현미경을 이용한 미세구조 분석은 XRD에서 분석할 수 없는 결정화 초기 양상을 분석할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 소자내부의 국부적인 영역과 같이 특정한 영역에서의 결정구조 및 원자배열에 관한 분석이 가능하였다. 이를 통해 GST박막의 전기적 특성이 결정립 크기에 직접적으로 연관성이 있음을 밝혀내었다. GST의 결정구조 및 원자배열에 관해서는, 제한시야전자회절 기법을 통해 준안정상에서의 GST는 FCC 구조를 가지고 안정상의 GST는 hexagonal 구조를 가짐을 보여주었으며, 고분해능 이미지 관찰을 통해 원자단위로 GST의 결정성을 규명하였다.

Preparation of Carbon Films from Polyacrylonitrile@Lignin Composites, and Their Electrical Properties and Adsorption Behavior (폴리아크릴로나이트릴/리그닌 복합소재로부터 생성된 탄소 필름의 전기적 성질 및 흡착 성능)

  • Lignin is compatible with various polymeric materials and useful as a carbon precursor. In this work, carbon monolith films were produced from polyacrylonitrile (PAN)@lignin precursor films by a controlled carbonization cycle. In addition, their morphological features, electrical properties, and adsorption behavior were analyzed and compared with those of carbonized PAN films. The successful formation of PAN@lignin precursor was confirmed by Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. SEM was used to examine the morphology of precursor and carbonized films, revealing that both precursor and carbonized films retained structural stability following carbonization. A trace of lignin in the carbonized films was also found. The pore structure of the carbonized PAN@lignin film was measured using the BET method, indicating the formation of fairly uniform pores. The electrical properties were also analyzed to obtain the Ohmic relation, which demonstrated that the electrical signal was influenced by incoming materials. Finally, the carbonized PAN@lignin films were useful as adsorbents to remove metal ions. This study provides important information for future initiatives in relevant research fields.
