Voice Activity Detection Algorithm base on Radial Basis Function Networks with Dual Threshold (Radial Basis Function Networks를 이용한 이중 임계값 방식의 음성구간 검출기)

  • This paper proposes a Voice Activity Detection (VAD) algorithm based on Radial Basis Function (RBF) network using dual threshold. The k-means clustering and Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm are used to upade the RBF network to the underlying speech condition. The inputs for RBF are the three parameters in a Code Exited Linear Prediction (CELP) coder, which works stably under various background noise levels. Dual hangover threshold applies in BRF-VAD for reducing error, because threshold value has trade off effect in VAD decision. The experimental result show that the proposed VAD algorithm achieves better performance than G.729 Annex B at any noise level.

  • This paper introduces a touch screen panel driver using modified charge pump circuit. The touch screen panel driver is composed of an analog circuit part which senses a touch and a digital circuit which analyse the sensed signal. To verify the functions the touch screen panel driver, a mixed-mode circuit was built and simulated using Cadence Spectre. The digital circuits were modeled with Verilog-A in order to interface with the analog circuits and verify the functionalities of the driver with less simulation time. From the simulation results, we can verify the reliable operations of the simple structured touch screen panel driver which does not include an ADC.

Parasitic Inductance Reduction Design Method of Vertical Lattice Loop Structure for Stable Driving of GaN HEMT (GaN HEMT의 안정적 구동을 위한 수직 격자 루프 구조의 기생 인덕턴스 저감 설계 기법)

  • This paper presents a parasitic inductance reduction design method for the stable driving of GaN HEMT. To reduce the parasitic inductance, we propose a vertical lattice loop structure with multiple loops that is not affected by the GaN HEMT package. The proposed vertical lattice loop structure selects the reference loop and designs the same loop as the reference loop by layering. The design reverses the current direction of adjacent current paths, increasing magnetic flux cancellation to reduce parasitic inductance. In this study, we validate the effectiveness of the parasitic inductance reduction method of the proposed vertical lattice loop structure.

The Influence of Substrate Temperature on the Structural and Optical Properties of ZnS Thin Films (기판온도가 ZnS 박막의 구조 및 광학적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • Znic sulfide (ZnS) thin films were deposited on glass substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering. The substrate temperature varied from room temperature (RT) to $500^{\circ}C$. The structural and optical properties of ZnS films were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive analysis of X-ray (EDAX) and UV-visible transmission spectra. The XRD analyses reveal that ZnS films have cubic structures with (111) preferential orientation, whereas the diffraction patterns sharpen with the increase in substrate temperatures. The FESEM images indicate that ZnS films deposited at $400^{\circ}C$ have nano-sized grains with a grain size of ~ 67 nm. Then films exhibit relatively high transmittance of 80% in the visible region, with an energy band gap of 3.71 eV. One obvious result is that the energy band gap of the film increases with increasing the substrate temperatures.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 에틸렌이민 유도체를 갖는 아조계 분산 염료의 폴리에스테르 섬유에의 응용과 최적화된 폴리에스테르 염색 조건의 확립이다. 이들 아지리디닐 염료는 구조가 유사하며 말단에 하이드록시기를 갖는 염료(아지리디닐 염료의 가수분해 형태)와 비교하여 최대 흡수 파장의 천색적으로 천이 됨을 알 수 있었다. 세가지 아지리디닐 모노 아조 염료와 이들 염료의 가수분해 된 형태 그리고 디메틸아니린계 아조 염료의 폴리에스테르 섬유에 대한 염색 및 견뢰도 성질이 조사되었다. 아지리디닐 아조 염료는 산성 조건에서보다 염기성 조건하에서 보다 안정하였고, 뛰어난 build-up이 높은 pH조건에서 얻어졌으며, 폴리에스테르 염색 시 130$^{\circ}C$, pH 10의 조건에서 최적화된 색상 강도를 얻었다. 아지리디닐 염료는 이 염료의 가수분해 형태와 디메틸아닐린 염료와 비교하여 개선된 세탁 견뢰도를나타내었고 이는 용매 추출을 이용하여 확인 하였다. 아지리디닐 아조 염료는 역시 광 련뢰도에서도 또한 상용화된 분산 염료에 비교하여 높은 결과를 나타내었다.

A study on the Posture control of a two-wheeled mobile robot (양바퀴 이동로봇의 자세제어에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a method to solve the difficulties in constructing an environment capable of practical training on the theoretical contents of robot control field. We make a two-wheeled mobile robot with Segway structure using LEGO block. In order to demonstrate the validity of using the developed robot as a practical application of advanced control theory of robotics education such as dynamic system and nonlinear system, the robot takes a stable posture while balancing the change of gravity during running. The results of the experiment are shown. By presenting the results, the robots made using the LEGO block are used for practical training of advanced control theory of robotics. It can be used as a tool.

  • There is an increasing interest in high-speed signal processing in modern telecommunication and SC circuit, HDTV, ISDN. There are many methods of high-speed signal processing. This paper describes a design approach for the realization of high-frequency Op-amp in CMOS technology. A limiting factor in Op-amp based analog integrated circuits is the limited useful frequency range. this thesis will develop a CMOS op-amp architecture with improved gainband width product with this technique an op-amp will achieve up to 170MHz (CL=2pF) unity-gain frequency with a 1.2-micron design rule. This CMOS op-amp is particularly suitable for achieving wide and stable closed-loop band widths, such as required in high-frequency SC filters, high-speed analog circuits.

  • When input parameters like gas volume or load of the fuel cell system is changed, the fuel cell system can generate transient voltage disturbances. In this paper, a fuel cell system with Z-source inverter and ultracapacitors for voltage disturbance compensation is proposed. The structure of Z-source inverter is simple. It has unique features that can boost/buck input voltage with a DC/DC converter using only a modified switching pattern. The characteristics of the proposed topologies for the fuel cell system with Z-source inverter and ultracapacitors are analyzed using simulation, and verified by experiments. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed system is capable of operating with stable response to the system transient and voltage disturbances.

  • 리튬폴리머 전지용 정극활물질인 $LiFePO_4$를 수열법으로 합성하였다. 제조한 정극활물질 $LiFePO_4$는 X-ray 회절분석을 통하여 olivine 구조임을 확인하였다. 전극 제조 시 첨가된 도전재의 종류에 따른 전기화학적 특성변화를 알기 위하여, Acetylene Black, Super-Black, Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube(MWCNT), SP270을 도전재로 제조된 정극활물질과 PVDF를 결합제로 사용하였다. 셀은 제조된 정극과 고체전해질 $25PVDFLiCIO_4EC_{10}PC_{10}$를 사용하고, 부극은 금속리튬으로 coin 타입의 cell을 조립하여 충방전을 진행하였다. 충방전 진행결과, Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube(MWCNT)를 도전재로 사용하였을 경우, 초기 방전용량은 94mAh/g, 100cycle 후에는 약 93mAh/g인 기타 도전재를 사용하였을 때보다 안정하고 높은 방전용량을 나타내었다. 이때의 충방전 전류밀도는 0.1mAh/g이고 전압범위 는 2.5~4.3V이었다.

  • ESD(Electrostatic Discharge) 보호에 응용되는 소자는 ESD가 발생했을 때, 빠르게 턴-온되어 외부로부터 EOS(Electric OverStress)를 차단함으로서 집적회로 내부의 코어를 보호해 주어야 한다. 이러한 기능에 충실한 LVTSCR(Low-Voltage Silicon Controlled Rectifier)은 트리거링 전압을 기존의 SCR보다 낮추어 ESD에 대해 민감한 반응을 할 수 있도록 개선한 소자이다. 그러나 트리거링 전압을 낮추면서 래치업 전압 또한 낮아지는 특성이 trade-off 관계로 맞물려 있어, LVTSCR의 단점인 낮은 래치업 전압을 효과적으로 다루는 것이 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 LVTSCR의 ESD 보호에 대한 응용시 발생 가능한 래치업을 차폐하는 회로적 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 새로운 구조의 차폐회로는 LVTSCR에서 래치업이 발생했을 때, 천이 전류를 감지하여 래치업이 발생되는 소자에 대한 전원을 스스로 차폐시켜 래치업에 대한 안정성을 시뮬레이션으로 검증하였다.
