A Study on Digital Road Map for Vehicle Navigation(I) (자동차 항법용 수치도로지도에 관한 연구(I))

  • Digital road map - which plays an essential role in giving accurate location of the vehicle, optimum route guidance, destination searching, and topographic feature query functions - is the most fundamental element of the vehicle navigation system. Unfortunately, there is not a nation-wide digital map in Korea such as U.S. TIGER fie, that is easily applied to digital road database production. Therefore, producing new digital road map is inevitable in Korea For establishing digital road map for vehicle navigation, this paper puts forth the necessary condition to stabilize the digital road map qualify, and to keep up the compatibility and the economical use. As a result, the standards of coordinate and map accuracy arc presented, and the Items and the structures of database arc decided.

  • In this research, a typhoon model has been reproduced on the Masan area which had a great damage caused by a tidal wave of the typhoon "MAEMI" at that time. In addition, after calculating the highest level of a tide that happens in the case, it can be compared with one in a real situation, and the accuracy of the typhoon model could be analyzed as well by comparing the actual overflow area with the greatest overflow area computed by the data of the highest level of a tide. This research is to provide some fundamental and primary materials for the design of stable harbor structure by predicting such as tidal changes that follow some typhoon matrixes hereafter.

  • Parameters of failure criteria, compressive strength and elastic modulus are most important for design and stability analysis of rock structure using numerical analysis. In this study, it suggests that the application of input data for numerical analysis by the literature study and the result of the 150 sets of triaxial compressive test. There was much different between parameters of failure criterion suggested by Hoek-Brown and parameters resulted from the analysis using 150 sets of triaxial compressive test. But the converting equations of compressive strength have had an interrelation with RMR. However, the converting of elastic of elastic modulus were different as chosen of equation, and the equation by Nicholson et at was more useful than others.

  • 유사(sediment)란 지각의 풍화작용에 의해 생성되어 유수나 바람 등에 의해 침식, 이송, 퇴적된 물질을 말하며, 일반적으로 하천유사(fluvial sediment)를 말한다. 유사의 크기는 작게는 미세한 점토입자부터 크게는 자갈에 이르기까지 매우 다양하며, 하천에서의 소류사량과 부유사량을 포함한 총유사량의 추정은 하천유사 문제의 기본이며 하천내의 수리구조물의 설계 및 유지관리, 하천개수 및 하도의 안정, 홍수터 관리, 저수지의 설계 및 운영 등 수자원 개발 및 관리를 위한 하천계획에 필요한 기본적 요소 중 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 중소하천에서의 실측을 통한 유사산정을 위해 대상하천에서 각 유량에 따른 부유사를 채취하여 시료분석을 통한 결과와 대상하천의 수리특성을 분석하여 총유사량의 산정 및 분석을 하였다. 이를 위하여 대상하천에 대하여 알맞은 측정조사지점을 선정하여 15회에 걸쳐 현장측정을 시행하였으며, 현장 측정시 유량측정을 위한 수위 및 유속을 측정하였고, 부유사농도 및 부유사입도분석을 위한 시료를 채취하여 실내 실험시 SS분석 및 BW관 분석을 시행하였다. 대상하천의 현장실험 측정성과와 수리특성을 기초자료로 하여 각 회차에 걸친 총유사량의 산정을 하였으며, 총유사량의 산정은 총유사량 추정 방법들인 직접 실측에 의한 방법, 간접계산에 의한 방법, '실측+계산'에 의한 방법 중 신뢰도가 높으며 경제성이 높은 '실측+계산'에 의한 방법과 간접계산에 의한 방법을 사용하는 공식으로 산정하였다. 결과들의 비교와 대상하천의 수리특성들에 대한 연구를 통해 적정공식을 선정하고 공식의 선정 원인에 대한 연구를 시행하였다.

Settlement Predictions for Pile Foundations (말뚝기초의 침하예측)

  • Piling engineers in limit state design should consider both capacity of a pile and settlements of pile for stability of a structure. This paper analyzes the prediction of the settlements of single piles and nine-group piles installed at an overconsolidated clay site by common prediction methods and cone penetrometer test data obtained closely at pile locations. The effects of Young's modulus, which varies spatially in soil profile, on estimating the set tlements of piles have been investigated briefly. The predicted settlements for single piles and nine-pile group by using simple linear elan tic methods, Vesic's method and Poulos's method, overestimated overalls the measured valroes, and the assumption of Youngs modulus, which are to be varied linearly through the soil layers. did not significantly affect the settlement predictions.

  • The communication between train and it's moving environments is considered as a necessity factor to support accuracy and safety for operation of train. Communication structure and performance between sensor and train used to measure and monitor between train and it's moving environments is required in operation of the train. In this paper, railway sensor network based on LTE-R is described and analyzed for moving train to support effective measure operation and environment data from various sensor devices located through railway and then transfer the data to data control center. Finally, implementation requirement for railway sensor network is suggested.

Fabrication of Aluminum Parabolic Mirror (알루미늄 포물면 반사경의 제작)

  • 일반적으로 천체 망원경에 사용되는 반사경은 유리 소재로 제작된다. 그러나 알루미늄을 반사경 소재로 사용하면 광기계구조물과 반사경의 열팽창계수가 유사하여 치수 안정성이 높다는 장점이 있다. 뿐만 아니라 다이아몬드 선삭 기계 (Diamond Turning Machine, DTM)를 이용할 수 있기 때문에 반사경의 가공 시간 및 제작 비용을 절감할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 알루미늄 합금 (Al6061-T6)을 소재로 구경 150 mm, 초점거리 600 mm인 포물면 반사경을 제작하였다. 우선 DTM을 이용해 알루미늄을 가공하였는데, 이 때 표면 조도와 관련된 고주파 오차 (High Frequency Error, HFE)가 발생한다. 따라서 표면 조도를 향상시키기 위한 추가적인 공정으로써 가공된 표면을 도금한 후 열처리를 하고, 폴리싱과 이중 코팅을 거쳐서 최종 반사경을 얻었다. 각 단계별 공정을 마친 후에는 접촉식 및 광학식 형상 측정 방법으로 표면 측정을 실시하여 이를 분석하였다. 본 발표에서는 각 공정 단계에서의 반사경 표면 분석 결과를 설명할 것이며, 제작된 알루미늄 반사경과 기존의 유리 소재의 반사경을 성능 면에서 비교할 것이다.

A Velocity-Adaptive Channel Estimation Scheme Using the Simple Zero-forcing Technique in the Frequency Domain (주파수 영역에서의 간단한 zero-forcing 기법을 이용한 속도 적응형 채널 추정 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a velocity-adaptive channel estimation scheme using the simple zero-forcing technique in the frequency domain. Channel estimation is performed by removing frequency components that are higher than the maximum Doppler frequency in the received signal. The proposed scheme can be extended to the combined estimation scheme for channel coefficients and mobile velocity using one FFT/IFFT module. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms conventional schemes for a wide range of mobile velocities($3{\sim}300\;Km/h$). Finally, the MSE for the proposed channel estimation scheme is analyzed.

  • This paper introduces a 2-dimensional touch screen panel driver based on an improved capacitive sensing circuit. The improved capacitive sensing circuit based on charge pump can eliminate the remaining charges of the intermediate nodes, which may cause output voltage drift. The touch screen panel driver with mixed-mode circuits was built and simulated using Cadence Spectre. Verilog-A models the digital circuits effectively and enables them to interface with analog circuits easily. From the simulation results, we can verify the reliable operations of the simple structured touch screen panel driver based on the improved capacitive sensing circuit offering no voltage drift.

  • Brushless D.C. Motor is widely used for industrial application because of high efficiency and high power density. Especially, in home appliance, BLDCM is very useful due to high control performance and low acoustic noise. In this paper, BLDCM and its controller are designed and developed for tread mill application. With the restricted stator structure, permanent magnet rotor is designed for manufacturing and cost effectiveness using CAD and FEM analysis. A ferrite magnetic material is used as a rotor magnet for the cost and temperature advantages. For a stable operation of tread mill, over current and temperature can be detected and protected. The designed BLDCM and its controller was verified by the experimental results.
