Assessment of the Rock Strength using Borehole Acoustic Scanner (초음파 주사검층 방법을 이용한 암반강도 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the geo-technical information by assessment of the in-situ rock strength using the reflected wave energy and travel time data acquired by the borehole acoustic scanner. In order to compare and analyze the relationship between the uniaxial compressive strength and the reflected wave energy, the laboratory test and the borehole acoustic scanning were conducted for the set of specimens, such as mortar, concrete, and rock samples which have different rock type. Finally, we verified the applicability of the reflected wave energy acquired by the borehole acoustic scanner to quantitatively estimate the in-situ rock strength.

  • X-ray lithography mask with SiC membrane and Ta absorber patterns has been fabricated using ECR plasma CVD, d.c. magnetron sputtering, and ECR plasma etching. The stress of stoichiometric SiC film was adjusted by rapid thermal annealing under $N_2$, ambient. Adjusting the working pressure during sputtering process resulted in a near-zero residual stress, reasonable density, and smooth surface morphology of Ta film. Cl-based plasma showed a good etching characteristics of Ta, and two-step etching process was implemented to suppress microloading effect fur sub-quarter $\mu\textrm{m}$ patterning.

  • In this paper, we describe a case of utilizing SaaS technology to build NC Post-processor(WBS) based cloud computing. Developed WPS system was implemented to provide stable and continuous system service by utilizing SCoD methodology. WPS is designed user interface module and control engine module. The interface module is downloaded in a client PC and the control engine is installed in cloud parm area. These modules are connected with computer network. WPS was completed a function test for sheet cutting field and mold manufacturing field, and it is processing a commercial service using with improve the user's convenience and adding a bill charge module.

  • A spacecraft contends with various vibration from the launch to the on-orbit operation, which is one of the major considerations in spacecraft design. The weight reduction has been indispensable to decrease the launch cost, however it produces worse disturbances for the spacecraft equipments. Besides, the load requirements at observation payload interfaces have became severe to secure their pointing stability as their images are required with high resolution. As a possible solution, a vibration isolation system is introduced and it reduces the vibration from the launch vehicle or isolates the spacecraft equipments from their generating/transmitted vibration. In this paper, it is examined the design consideration needed for the accommodation of the vibration isolation systems through the survey of recent applications of vibration mitigation technologies to spacecrafts.

  • The dynamic behavior of a cable-stayed bridge due to random wind forces is investigated. The effects of the steady wind, the self-excited and the buffeting forces are studied. The dynamic analysis of the structure is carried out by the frequency domain method utilizing the mode superposition. Example analysis are performed for Dolsan Bridge, which is under construction at Yeosu, Jeonnam. Aerodynamic stability of the bridge is investigated and the vertical motion of the girder as well as the tension variations of the cables is obtained.

  • 본 연구는 자연형 소하천의 유형별, 지역별 자연형 하천공법의 파악 및 시범사업의 적용.평가를 통하여 소하천 특성에 적합한 치수구조와 안정성을 갖추면서 생태계와 조화를 이루고, 친수성과 경관 등 소하천의 환경기능을 향상시키는데 필요한 공사시행의 설계도서를 작성하는데 그 목적을 가지고 수행되었다. 자연형 이동소하천정비 시범사업은 축제공, 배수공, 구조물공, 조경공 등의 공종과 자연석 쌓기, 식생축조블록, 그린리버블록 등 11개의 다양한 호안공법이 적용되어 2003년 12월에 준공하였다. 본 자연형 이동소하천 정비시범 사업에서는 공사 전.중.후에 '하천수질 및 유량측정, 홍수량 측정 및 수리분석 그리고 생태계, 하천수리'에 대한 모니터링 사업을 2003년부터 2006년 현재까지 계속적으로 수행하고 있다. 본 연구는 자연형 소하천정비 시범사업 중에서 유역 내 2003년부터 2005년까지 하천수질 및 유량측정 모니터링 결과를 분석한 것이다. 하천수질 및 유량측정은 하천환경계획을 위한 기본조사로서 효과적인 하천환경관리를 도모하기 위한 기준을 정하기 위한 것이다. 하천 수질 및 유량측정은 하천수질이 악화되는 갈수기를 택하여 월별 일일 4회(6시간 간격)에 걸쳐 시행되었고, 수질측정 항목은 BOD, DO, TP에 대하여 조사 분석되었다.

  • We propose a real-time tracking algorithm for an augmented reality (AR) system for TV broadcasting. The tracking is initialized by detecting the object with the SURF algorithm. A multi-scale approach is used for the stable real-time camera tracking. Normalized cross correlation (NCC) is used to find the patch correspondences, to cope with the unknown and changing lighting condition. Since a zooming camera is used, the focal length should be estimated online. Experimental results show that the focal length of the camera is properly estimated with the proposed online calibration procedure.

  • (001)방향 GaAs 기판과 Si/Co 박막의 계면반응 및 상평형에 관한 연구를 300-$700^{\circ}C$ 열처리 구간에서 행하였다. 반응에 의한 상전이 과정은 glancing angle X-ray diffraction(GXRD), Auger electron spectroscopy(AES) 및 cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy(GXRD), Auger electron spectroscopy(AES) 및 corss-sectional transmission electron microscopy(XTEM)을 이용하여 분석하였다. Si/Co/GaAs계의 계면반응에서 Co는 $380^{\circ}C$에서 GaAs 기판 및 Si와 반응하여 Co2GaAs과 Co2Si상을 형성하였다. $420^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 후, Co층은 모두 소모되었으며 단면구조는 Si/CoSi/CoGa(CoAs)/Co2GaAs/GaAs으로 전이되었다. $460^{\circ}C$까지 온도를 올려 계속적인 반응을 일으키면 CoGa와 CoAs이 분해되면서 CoSi가 성장하였고, $600^{\circ}C$에서는 Co2GaAs마저 분해되고 CoSi상이 성장하여 GaAs와 계면을 형성하였다. CoSi와 GaAs사이의 계면은 $700^{\circ}C$의 고온까지 안정하였으며 이러한 계면반응 결과는 계산에 의하여 구한 Si-Co-Ga-As 4원계 상태도로부터 이해될 수 있었다.

  • This research has improved the problem of discharge AND gate PDP proposed before. The polarity of the DC discharge which composes AND gate is reversely designed and the cross talk problem to the adjacent scanning electrode has been improved. The AND gate proposed before operated by using non-linearity of the discharge by the space charge. In this research, new discharge NOT logic in which it was used that an applied voltage changed with the discharge circuit was added to AND gate. AND gate came to operate more stably. A selective address was able to be discharged with four horizontal scanning electrodes from the experiment result. The operation margin of the AND gate discharge obtained 34V and of the address discharge obtained 70V.

  • In this paper, we propose a CMAC(Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller) neural network for controlling a non-linear system. CMAC is a neural network that models the human cerebellum. CMAC uses a table look-up method to resolve the complex non-linear system instead of numerical calculation method. It is very fast learn compared with other neural networks. It does not need a calculation time to generate control signals. The simulation results show that the proposed CMAC controllers for a simple non-linear function and a DC Motor speed control reduce tracking errors and improve the stability of its learning controllers. The validity of the proposed CMAC controller is also proved by the real-time tension control.
