Dynamic Characteristics and Isolation Performance of Isolation Table System (면진 테이블 시스템의 동적 특성 및 면진성능)

  • Structural engineers lately have an interest in the safety for equipments and facility in buildings subjected to earthquake. The stability of cultural assets was not considered for the earthquake induced vibration, while the integrity of structure has been considered through the resistant earthquake design. The purpose of this study aimed to analyze the behavior of isolation device named as \"Isolation table system\" and to evaluate its isolation performance through the experiment study. Isolation table is one of isolation systems to reduce the vibration which was transferred from slab to exhibition table. Experimental result shows that isolation table can reduce the vibration by 80-90% and its behavior is very stable within its maximal stroke.al stroke.

  • 최근 이동체의 위치 데이타를 활용한 위치 기반 서비스에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 보다 효율적인 이동체 위치 데이타 관리 시스템으로 클러스터 기반 분산 컴퓨팅 구조인 GALIS(Gracefully Aging Location Information System)가 제시되었다. 그러나 GALIS의 서브 시스템인 SLDS(Short-term Location Data Subsystem)는 다수의 SDP(Short-term Data Processor) 노드들이 처리한 질의 결과를 SDP 마스터에서 취합하여 클라이언트로 보내는 구조이기 때문에 SDP 마스터에 장애가 발생할 경우 서비스가 중지되고, SDP 마스터에 부하가 집중될 경우 클라이언트로의 응답 시간이 길어지는 문제가 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 기존 SLDS에 이중화를 지원하기 위해 SDP 마스터를 추가하여 기존 SLDS의 안정성을 높이고 이동체 위치 데이타의 질의 처리 성능을 향상시킨 확장 SLDS를 설계 및 구현하였다. 확장 SLDS에서는 두 대의 SDP 마스터를 가동함으로써 한 SDP 마스터에 장애가 발생하더라도 다른 SDP 마스터가 서비스를 계속 제공함으로써 시스템의 안정성을 보장한다. 또한, 확장 SLDS는 두 대의 SDP 마스터가 질의 처리를 분산하여 수행하기 때문에 클라이언트로의 응답 시간을 줄일 수 있다. 마지막으로 확장 SLDS의 장애 테스트와 질의 처리 성능을 실험하였으며, 이러한 실험을 통해 확장 SLDS의 고신뢰성 및 고가용성을 검증하였다.

Gas Permeability of Polymeric LB Films Containing Imidazole-Metal Ion Complexes (이미다졸-금속 이온 착체를 포함하는 고분자 LB막의 기체 투과성)

  • The permeability of oxygen and nitrogen was investigated from the polymeric LB films containing imidazole-metal ion complexes and compared with its corresponding cast films on porous membrane filters. The amphiphilic polymer, poly(N- (2-(4-imidazolyl)ethyl)-maleimide-alt-1-octadecene) (IM-O), was synthesized by reaction of poly(maleic anhydride-alt-1-octadecene) with histamine. The IM-O nonolayer showed high stability on Fe (III) ion-containing subphase. The molecular structure in the LB films was investigated by means of FT-IR spectroscopy. The metal ion concentration incorporated into the LB films was determined by means of XPS measurements. The mechanical stability and uniformity of the LB films on porous substrates were indirectly evidenced by SEM observation. The LB and cast films showed more or less higher selectivity toward nitrogen, and high permeability was found to both the oxygen and nitrogen.

  • This paper analyzes the properties of such algorithm that corresponds to the nonlinear adaptive algorithm with additional update terms, parameterized by the scalar factors a1, a2, a3 and Presents its structure. The analysis of convergence leads to eigenvalues of the transition matrix for the mean weight vector. Regions in which the algorithm becomes stable are demonstrated. The time constant is derived and the computational complexities of MLMS algorithms are compared with those of the conventional LMS, sign, LFG, and QFG algorithms. The properties of convergence in the mean square are analyzed and the expressions of the mean square recursion and the excess mean square error are derived. The necessary condition for the CFG algorithm to be stable is attained. In the computer simulation applied to the system identification the CFG algorithm has the more computation complexities but the faster convergence speed than LMS, LFG and QFG algorithms.

  • The crystallization behavior and structural change of amorphous $PbTiO_{3}$ precursors prepared by coprecipitation method were investigated by XRD, Raman spectra, TEM, and RDF. The precursors were prepared at $45^{\circ}C$ and pH of 9 from a mixed solution of lead nitrate and titanium tetrachloride derived using $H_2O_2$ or $NH_4NO_3$ as an ion stabilizer. The activation energy and temperature for crystallization of the coprecipitate prepared using $NH_4NO_3$ as an ion stabilizer were lower than that derived from the solution containing $H_2O_2$ stabilizer. The amorphous coprecipitate transformed to transient phase and then to crystalline $PbTiO_{3}$. Average interatomic distances of amorphous states decreased with increasing heat-treatment temperature.

  • This study was carried out to analyze the effect of wind load on the structural stability of a container crane according to the change of the boom shape using wind tunnel test and provide a container crane designer with data which can be used in a wind resistance design of a container crane assuming that a wind load 75m/s wind velocity is applied in a container crane. Data acquisition conditions for this experiment were established in accordance with the similarity. The scale of a container crane dimension, wind velocity and time were chosen as 1/200, 1/13.3 and 1/15. And this experiment was implemented in an Eiffel type atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel with $11.52m^2$ cross-section area. Each directional drag and overturning moment coefficients of a container crane according to the change of the boom shape were investigated.

  • The nonlinear modal interaction of an autoparametric system under a broadband random excitation is investigated. The specific system examined is an autoparametric vibration absorber with internal resonance, which is typical of many common structural configurations. By means of Gaussian closure scheme the dynamic moment equations explaining the random responses of the system are reduced to a system of autonomous ordinary differential equations of the first and second moments. In view of equilibrium solutions of this system and their stability we examine the system responses. We could not find the destabilizing effect of damping, which was reported in References (18) and (20). The saturation phenomenon, which is well known in deterministic nonlinear system, did not take place lot this system subject to broadband random excitation.

A Study on Development of Dielectric Layers for High-Temperature Electrostatic Chucks (고온용 정전기척의 유전층 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Dielectric material which is suitably designed for the application of the high-temperature electrostatic chucks(HTESCS) has been developed. Electrical resistivities and dielectric constants of the dielectric layer satisfy the demands for the proper operation of HTESC, and coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE) of the dielectric material matches well that of the bottom insulator so that it secures stable structure. In order to minimize particle contaminations, borosilicate glass(BSG) is selected as a bonding layer between dielectric layer and bottom insulator, and silver is used as a electrode. BSG is solidly bonded between upper dielectric and bottom insulator, and no diffusions or reactions are observed among silver electrode, dielectric, and glass layers. The chucking characteristics of the fabricated HTESC are found to be superior to those of the commercialized one.

  • The purpose of using Gas Generator Oxidizer On/Off Valve(GOV) is to control opening and closing of oxidizer mass flow. This paper describes analytical results of flow and structural properties for four different GOV models, using commercial software such as Fluent(Ver. 6.3.26) and NASTRAN(2005 r.2), PATRAN(2005 r.2). Analytical results show that GOVs could generate 2.3~3.8 kg/s of oxidizer mass flow rate and come up with 1.09~1.42 of safety factor.

  • The ac magnetic susceptibility of {100} iron whiskers as a function of currents is studied with and without external field. The ac susceptibility depends on the magnitude and the direction of the applied dc current when a small external field is applied along the magnetization of the central domain of the whisker. Variation of the central domain size accounts for the current-dependent response. The measured magnetic responses are explained, using a micromagnetic calculation based on a simple model, as a function of applied currents over a wide range except critical values.
