  • 본 연구에서는 가정 또는 사무실에서도 무구속적인 방법으로 심장의 활동상태를 모니터링하기 위하여 스마트폰 기반의 무구속 심탄도 모니터링 시스템을 구현하였다. 이를 위하여 의자의 상부와 하부사이에 3-로드셀을 부착하였으며, 사용자가 의자에 착좌 시 심장박동에 따른 미세한 무게 변화를 검출하여 심탄도를 측정하였다. 구현된 시스템의 성능 평가를 위하여 심탄도와 상용 심전도 계측 시스템을 이용하여 동시 계측 실험을 수행하였으며, 각 신호에서 심박동 검출을 통해 심탄도 계측 시스템의 유용성을 평가하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 PVDF 압전 센서와 IR 체온 센서 등을 활용하여 비접촉, 무(無) 구속 방식으로 요람에 있는 영유아의 바이탈 신호를 상시 측정하여 '영아 돌연사 증후군' 등 위험한 상황에 빠졌을 때 애플리케이션을 통하여 즉각 보호자에게 알리고 대처 방안을 제시하며, 상시 영·유아 모니터링이 불가능한 맞벌이 부모 등에게 자동 상태 경보 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 스마트 요람을 개발하였다.

Characteristics of Early-Age Restrained Shrinkage and Tensile Creep of Ultra-High Performance Cementitious Composites (UHPCC) (초고성능 시멘트 복합체의 초기 재령 구속 수축 및 인장 크리프 특성)

  • Since ultra-high performance cementitious composites (UHPCC) not only represents high early age shrinkage strain due to its low water-to-binder ratio (W/B) and high fineness admixture usage but also reduces the cross section of structure from the higher mechanical properties, it generally has more shrinkage cracks from the restraints of formwork and reinforcing bars. In this study, free and restrained shrinkage experiments were conducted to evaluate the suitability of incorporating both expansive admixture (EA) and shrinkage reducing agent (SRA). The test results indi-cated that approximately 40~44% of free shrinkage strain was decreased. Also, the results showed that 35% and 47% of residual tensile stresses were relieved by synergetic effect of SRA and EA, respectively. Residual tensile stresses from ringtest were relaxed by approximately 61% and 64% of elastic shrinkage stresses due to SRA and EA, respectively, because of the tensile creep effect. Therefore, the creep effect should be considered to precisely estimate the restrained shrinkage behavior of concrete structures. The degree of restraint of UHPCC was approximately in the range of 0.78~0.85. The addition of combined EA and SRA showed minute influence on the degree of restraint. However, the effect decreased when thicker concrete ring was used. Tensile creep strains were measured and compared to the predicted values from 4-parametric prediction model considering time dependent restrained forces.

  • In order to regulate cutting force at a desired level during NC lathe process, a feedrate override Adaptive Control Constraint system was developed. Nonlinear model of the cutting process was linearized as an adaptive model with a time varing process parameter. Performance of the ACC system was confirmed on the NC lathe equipped with the developed NC system through a large amount of experiment.

  • With the advancement of ubiquitous computing technology, u-Healthcare (i.e. ubiquitous health care), is regarded as a key application for information society, which provides health management service at anytime in anywhere. To implement U-Healthcare system, it is essential to monitor stable biological information in daily life. In this paper, we proposed a small size, light weight, patch type real time temperature monitoring system based on wireless sensor network (WSN) technology to monitor patients' body temperature without any inconvenience of activity.

Shrinkage Reduction Performance of HPFRCC Using Expansive and Srhinkage Reducing Admixtures (팽창재와 수축저감제를 사용한 HPFRCC의 수축 저감 성능)

  • High-performance fiber-reinforced cement composite (HPFRCC) shows very high autogenous shrinkage, because it contains a low water-to-binder ratio (W/B) of 0.2 and high fineness admixture without coarse aggregate. Thus, it needs a method to decrease the cracking potential. Accordingly, in this study, to effectively reduce the shrinkage of HPFRCC, a total of five different ratios of SRA (1% and 2%), EA (5% and 7.5%), and a combination of SRA and EA (1% and 7.5%) were considered. According to the test results of ring-test, a combination of SRA and EA (1% and 7.5%) showed best performance regarding restrained shrinkage behavior without significant deterioration of compressive and tensile strengths. This was also verified by performing modified drying shrinkage crack test.

An Efficient Packet Scheduling Scheme to support Real-Time Traffic in OFDMA Systems (OFDMA 시스템에서 실시간 트래픽 전송을 위한 효율적 스케쥴링 기법)

  • In this paper, a packet scheduling scheme that supports real-time traffic having multi-level delay constraints in OFDMA systems is proposed. The proposed scheme pursues to satisfy the delay constraint first, and then manage the residual radio resource in order to enhance the overall throughput. A parameters named tolerable delay time (TDT) is newly defined to deal with the differentiated behaviors of packet scheduling according to the delay constraint level. Assuming that the packets violating the delay constraint are discarded, the proposed scheme is evaluated in terms of the packet loss probability, throughput, channel utilization. It is then compared with existing schemes for real-time traffic support such as the Exponential Scheduling (EXP) scheme, the Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (M-LWDF) scheme, and the Round robin scheme. The numerical results show that the proposed scheduling scheme performs much better than the aforementioned scheduling schemes in terms of the packet loss probability, while slightly better in terms of throughput and channel utilization.

  • A polymeric ring resonator with electrically variable extinction ratio at resonant wavelengths has been proposed and demonstrated. It consists of a ring waveguide coupled to a straight bus waveguide and a modulating electrode, which is formed in the outer cladding region outside of the ring. When electrical power is applied to the electrode, the refractive index of the polymers underneath the electrode is lowered to strengthen the confinement of the guided mode of the ring and thus the equivalent effective refractive index felt by the mode is decreased. Therefore, the propagation loss of the guided mode is reduced with the applied electrical power Consequently the extinction ratio at resonant wavelengths is varied by the electrical power. For the achieved results, the extinction ratio was changed by about 9 dB for the electrical power of 12 mW, when the propagation loss of the ring was reduced by 80 dB/cm.

  • The unconscious and non-intrusive measurements of activity signals or physiological signals represent important enabling technologies for realizing a ubiquitous healthcare environment as well as a related UI. Particularly, non-intrusive measurements should be used in activity monitoring system for long-term monitoring. This paper is based on activity estimation by measuring the activity signals of a user using a handhold device with an accelerometer. The user activity estimation system (UAES) presented in this paper makes non-intrusive measurements of activity signals to minimize inconveniencing a user and to create a more practical implementation in real life. Thus, a variety of positions in which the handhold device can be carried by a user for daily use is considered, such as in the front/hip/shirt pockets, a backpack, on the waist, and in the hand.

InAs 양자점의 AlxGax-1As 장벽층 구조에 따른 광학적 특성

  • 본 연구에서는 태양전지의 활성영역에 삽입할 InAs 양자점에 AlxGax-1As 장벽층을 삽입하여 그 두께변화에 따른 광학적 특성 변화를 photoreflectance spectroscopy (PR)과 photoluminescence (PL)를 이용하여 연구하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 InAs/AlGaAs 양자점 구조는 GaAs (100) 기판 위에 GaAs buffer layer를 500 nm 성장 ($Ts=580^{\circ}C$) 후 기판온도 $470^{\circ}C$에서 InAs 양자점, GaAs cap 층과 AlxGax-1As 장벽층 순서로 5 층의 InAs/GaAs/AlxGax-1As 양자점 구조를 형성하였다. GaAs cap 층의 두께는 4 nm로 고정하고 AlGaAs 장벽층 두께를 0~6 nm 까지 변화시켰다. 각 양자점 층 사이에 AlxGax-1As 장벽층의 삽입 유무에 따라 PR 신호에서 Franz-Keldysh oscillation (FKO)의 주기 변화가 관측되었다. AlGaAs 두께가 증가 할수록 PL 신호의 세기가 증가함을 보였으며 PL 신호의 온도의존 특성이 변화됨을 관측할 수 있었다. AlGaAs 장벽층 대신 AlAs 장벽층을 삽입한 시료에서도 유사한 경향성을 관측하였으며, 이는 양자점에 구속된 운반자의 터널링 현상과 높은 장벽층에 의한 운반자의 구속 강도의 변화에 의한 것으로 사료된다. 특히 장벽층의 유무에 따른 FKO의 변화는 시료의 표면 전기장의 변화에 기인한 것으로 운반자의 구속효과뿐만 아니라 InAs 양자점 성장중 형성된 표면결함 밀도의 변화에 의한 것으로 추정하였다.
